    Very helpful video. I’ve hung a number of these in my garage and love the system. Not cheap, but well made. Thank you 🙏

    You don’t need a second track to keep it plumb. Just use a spacer block similar to how IKEA does it.

    It's a more expensive version of French Cleat system. They get paid on wall and accessory products. Cut your from plywood at a 45 degree angle

    Great video. I really liked that you filmed yourself taking a step back, hand on you your chin, thinking 'did i do this ok?' or 'Awww man, i hope i didn't mess up.' :)

    Just ordered about $4K of this stuff for the garage. I'm thinking for these cabinets I'm cutting the GearTrack short for the top and fastening two pieces on the back for the spacer. Might look cleaner not seeing the tracks sticking out. Won't sit flush against the wall like most cabinets, I'll see if that floats my boat.

    Nice job. You mentioned that the bottom track is kind of wasted because all it’s doing is holding the cabinet level off the wall. That occurred to me as I was researching the Gladiator products. So here’s a question. If the cabinet only hooks onto the top track could you have used a .75” thick strip of wood in lieu of the lower track to allow the cabinet to rest on and keep it plumb?

    • @DIYRAY
      @DIYRAY  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes you can.i would just keep it behind the cabinet so it looks nice. Good question, thanks and please remember to sub to the channel.

      I have this in my garage and you are totally on point. No need to spend the $13 on the lower rail when a 3/4” strip of wood does the same job. I absolutely love this system. It not only looks great but is incredibly strong if mounted correctly. It’s very flexible and gives you a lot of options with regards to how you place the hooks and other accessories. I’ve turned several people on to it after they’ve seen it in my garage.

    I have some gladiator cabinets in my 3 car garage man cave. Have a question though. What's the point of spending money on those rail tracks to mount cabinets when I can just mount them straight on the wall without spending money on thoese track things??

    • @DIYRAY
      @DIYRAY  Před 3 lety +1

      I guess you can. I just like the other options that comes with the track system. Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.

    Good video Ray. No need for a chalk line as they speak about in the instructions.

    The bottom track is wasted. I just use a similar thickness piece of scrap wood for the bottom.

    • @DIYRAY
      @DIYRAY  Před 4 lety +1

      Pete Bagalayos I used Table-saw, but you can use Regular saw, a jigsaw, or a circus saw. Whatever you have on hand. Ez to cut.

      I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just make sure it’s Secure. But just be advised that It doesn’t bend , It’s very stiff. Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
