No freedom without possibility of choice. In everybody there are two forces. One i call "vital impulse" which is only self centered ,instinctive, amoral and so on. And the other one which is here to keep the first one under control and who is aquired through interaction with others . Narcs cannot ,for whatever reason, develop this second force...they remain forever selfcentered thinking that it is the only way to thrive when in fact they are miserable . Humanity is a whole made of individualities that need to understand they are a whole. And this can never make any sense to a narc because what they feel never goes beyond themself. They lack half of the human experience which can only be reached when you feel beyond your self.

@@marialandkroon6184 the devil is still an angel, a creation of G-d. He can‘t do anything without the permission of G-d himself. Or do you believe in two gods?

@@marialandkroon6184 So if he can‘t do anything without the agreement of G-d, then G-d agrees and everything is coming from G-d. Which is natural, because G-d is the source of everything. Good and evil. If there is no evil we can‘t choose.
      Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
It‘s up to us to make a choice. It‘s in our hands. It‘s about our actions. Our decision.
Christianity is such a concept of of being a helpless victim, that you are bad and can’t do anything, but that somebody else is doing/did the job for you. I‘m glad I turned away to understand that I have to take responsibility for my actions. And guess what!? G-d saves! He always did. That‘s btw what Jesus told in the beginning. To repent and turn back to G-d.
However. I‘ve learned that discussions like that with Christians only lead to stronger confessions. But I urge you to do some research about Paul and how Jesus suddenly became a god and how so many concepts differ dramatically from the text source.

Wouldn’t you say Narcissists mainly wrote these ancient ‘self-help’ books? From the way written sounds very much like it. A covert control mechanism.

This is unrelated to this specific video;but I’ve been watching your works on the covert borderline/narcissism I don’t have a specific diagnosis yet;but my life experience resonates with the covert borderline/narcissist tale. I went through a self imposed narcissistic mortification that I thought was a ego death around 16 when I realized the false ideal self I had created in my mind was not achievable and I didn’t need to achieve it to be accepted. I’ve recently became reattached to another ideal version of myself but I honestly believe it’s possible for me to reach this ideal self(that isn’t perfect) if I work hard enough on myself. Do you think this is just a power fantasy or is it a vision I can work towards?

Suggest the focus is the journey, and the dance with light and dark that happens along it, rather than any destination of final anything, especially any fantasy of perfection, especially a static, unchanging state of bliss. God is dynamic, ever dancing. The mission is to show up and try, to be your best, why not?

I have a question for prof. Vaknin or his followers who have that knowledge, so be kind to answer please.
At the end of your speech in the video "Narcissist and God: Love-Hate Relationship", you say that for a narcissist, God is the source of his narcissistic supply.
Do you think that a narcissist/psychopath projects onto God his own being and what is in himself? And if so, what is he predominantly projects?
    Thank you.
