  • I can't imagine a Scale RC helicopter that is simpler to build than the Microheli Hughes 300 Kit for the OMPHOBBY M2 and the M2 EVO. All you have to do is change some few parts and your little Hughes 300 will be ready to fly. This video is as well a love declaration to my dear wife. She is out with me on my field, filming my flights and my talking. If it's hot or if it's cold - she is by my side. Whithout "RC Copter Love" would not be possible. She is my best supporter!

Good job Matthias - love the lil scale fuselage - it's good for orientation and a great loop!!

Thanks a lot!! Yes, this liitle bee and my EC 145 as well are looking sweet, flying great and you are right they are different orientation wise! Cheers!

Great video and flying! Heli looks amazing. How did you make the tail boom w yellow stripes?

@RedNinjaGaiden Thanks a lot! I am using neon gaffer tape on the tailbooms of all my small helis! It makes them so much more visible! www.amazon.com/Glow-Fluorescent-neon-Gaffer-Tape/dp/B01N9E0F2O?th=1

Good explanation! Your video will definitely help some people get started with scale flying. I thought exactly the same thing when I started scale flying. That's why I first bought the CBI300 fuselage from microheli (for my Blade 230 Smart) to practice my first longline flights over water with a functional micro Bambi bucket. Before I did the same thing with the Bell UH-1 from Microheli. Have you seen my latest video yet? (Blade 230 Bell UH-1 with short line and functional Bambi Bucket)
Does the OMP Hobby M2 have a free servo channel where you can connect a servo for scale tasks? I'm thinking about switching to m2..

Hi and thank you! I have watched your Bambi Bucket video and I love the idea! Have you seen my M4 sling load operation training video with my OMP M4 (400 class)? My sling load does not have any function yet - but your vidoe inspires me. Great flight with the bucket! I think it's realy a great training to do something we did with our helis. In one of my last videos I was flying over a lake and now after watching your video I will try it with a simple Bambi Bucket first. I guess you will like the OMP M2 EVO very much. It is very stable, accurate, precise and powerful. I was starting with the Blade 230S V2 and found the OMPHOBBY M2 much better to fly. I guess that with a sattelite receiver you should be able to activate additional channels like you do with your Blade helis. I am using Radiomaster and Edge TX and I am unexperienced with it. But in Spektrum it sould be no problem. I left you a subscription! Thanks for your inspiration!

@@RCCopterLove Yes, I saw your video too and I think I even commented on it because I thought it was cool that you were experimenting with it. Flying longline was the greatest motivation for me to fly more precisely and calmly. It's not easy to learn, especially during the first few flights. I hope that more people will be inspired by our videos. And I'm happy to hear that you were also inspired by my video. But please be careful. However, I think you can do it well because you are a very calm, level-headed pilot. I wish you a lot of fun with your training and look forward to your video. I also subscribed to your channel :-) I'll ask my colleague who has an M2 whether he can activate an additional channel on the m2 fbl. And if so, then I'll buy an m2 too :-) I know what you mean about the Blade 230 with the lack of precision. But it is nice and light and you can fly it at low speeds. This gives a nicer sound. The sound of the leaves is also important to me when flying a helicopter :-) That's why I don't have an m2 yet. But if it works with the additional servo channel on the m2, I will also have to consider buying an m2.. Thank you too for the inspiration and sharing your rc heli passion.

@@modellflugschuletakeoff Thank you very much! I see we are thinking in a very similar way! I hope for you that the OMP M2 EVO has the possibilities you need for the additional servo channel. Or that you can manage it somehow with the Transmitter and receiver sattelite. The New M2 EVO is much more quiet with the new tailblade and motor (bigger, different shape than the M2 V2 tailblade). It is much more silent than the Blade 230 S V2 I owned. And because of its direct drive motor it has much more power reseves and allows lower headspeed if you do calm scale flying like the longline operation. For me silence is as well very important. Okay, if I do acrobatics or more agressive turns, I love the sound of the blades ripping through the air. But the motor should me very silent! I cross my fingers that you find a good way for he additional channels! You will be shocked and fall instantly in love if you try the M2 EVO! Thats how it was in my case!!

@@RCCopterLove Very good point with the silent Motor of the m2! You've convinced me! Now I just have to find out if it has a free servo channel. And if so then I will buy one :-D Ah and I'm writing here from my second channel. Just that you're not confused. Sometimes I'm a bit lazy to log in to the other channel

@@butterflyfpv Okay, I get it! 😀 I hope you find a way. I have very few experience and knowledge regarting setup and electronics... I was not really "falling in love" with all IT and programming stuff. Flying is my passion. But I guess you should be able to programm/add an additional free channel on your transmitter and if you are using a sattelite receiver (SBUS) it might work. But as I said, I have no idea of all this stuff 😀 I am 62 now, dont use a smartfone.... you might see what kind of stoneage guy I am.😀
I really hope you find a way, cause it would be a pitty not to fly the M2! It's worth all research. All the best and happy flights!!
