Passat B8 interior mirror in Passat B6 B7 CC mk1( how is made)

B8 Passat and b7 Passat have different bracket and connector so you have to keep b7 mirror bracket and wires, transfer over in B 8 mirror and you can see in video color of the wires and where they go,
Obviously the old mirror is useless now but you get a frameless mirror in older car.

Tried to use VW frameless mirror in the bmw, but the LIN signals suppose to be different and i would need to change the whole electronics inside the mirror. Nice tutorial though.

So did you have to change the pin order on the connector to the new mirror

No, just follow as the video showing, connector in the mirror sometimes is 2 pieces, just insert as instructed. Trimming might be required to fit connector in on the edges
