    You have to take off the damn fuel tank to get to the governor. Then to remove a bolt holding the fuel tank in, you have to remove the damn throttle assembly. Then there's a giant gap between the back flywheel cover where bolts can randomly fall in if you're not careful. Horrendous design. But thanks for video. It worked in the end.

    But after adjusted the governor to the normal place but what can be the causes if the governor doesn't return closed to the carburetor during the on speed and it always consume fuell when the engin governor function in that way especially 3000gen, 2900,8000 8800, 8990gen

    I would like to ask if this will work or same procedure on 1000W common small generator? Because I have problem with mine. After cleaning the carb, maybe I accidentally hit that thing when I turned back the carb. And the result, super high rpm with over voltage. I tried to adjust the screw but it didn't work. I think, that governor is the problem? Please help me.

    • @DraftProject
      @DraftProject  Před 7 měsíci +1

      If the carburetor has some springs, have you checked it if it is correctly placed? Try to double check the screw adjustments. Perhaps something opens the throttle as a result of higher rpm.
      About the governor adjustment, yes you can try but before you do it, put some markings so you can go back to the previous adjustment if the new setting didn't work.

    • @Rubicon904
      @Rubicon904 Před 5 měsíci

      It alows higher rpm, meaning the engine can run at faster speeds. That's why go karts and dortbimes with these engines almost always have no govenors

    What about the Philips head screw with the spring around it, what do you do there.

    • @DraftProject
      @DraftProject  Před rokem +1

      That is for the high speed setting. You adjust it when the generator is running. If you tighten, it increases more idle speed when the throttle is wide open. If loosen, it decreases idle speed.
