Cheers, much appreciated. I feel there's a great gang of reviewers out there with different takes, skills and ideas. The videos for the 2600M across the board were really interesting I thought. Enjoyed watching all the others.

tough to tell from the video, but if I were in the market for one, I'd hope it came in just under the limit for carry-on baggage. "You want me to check my 2600!? Hell no." :)
Great overview… it sounds massive. Thank you Korg for bringing this back… That Intro song rocked! (I loved all of them, but the intro really caught my attention).
Thanks for the great demo! I loved the funny, but at the same time highly professionnel way presenting this gear. Happy to be one of your 100 k subscribers! Congratulations by the way!
I love watching your videos, you just make these vintage synths (and redesigns!) sing in a way I could never think possible! You're the reason I started to get into making music with my Odyssey rerelease, actually! I'm not amazing yet, but I'm working hard and having fun doing it. Thank you for making th we amazing and funny videos!
As Ziv said, it’s a synth with infinite sweet spots. I would have loved Korg to add the extras that Behringer did, which really add to the functionality without really losing anything. It’s an endlessly fun machine to play with, and always results in something you can imagine using in a track.
It certainly is endlessly inspiring. In terms of extras, I have modular gear and can patch as many extra functions in as I need, but I appreciate some will want just a 2600 and nothing else, so extra functions are always handy.
This thing sounds fantastic, especially in your hands…The lack of 3620 is what keeps me away from all the clones and cut down versions. I guess there are not many people who use a 2600 in a traditional way with the left hand controls 🤷♂️
Thankfully you can connect basically anything to it, so it's not a problem, but I did instinctively reach for the 3620 panel that wasn't there a few times! Probably because I've been spoiled to play the originals up until this point. My System 100m 184 4CV keboard works a charm with it, but it's quite funny to see a keyboard dwarf the synth.
Similar thing for me on the new OB-6 I was so hoping that there would be levers and not wheels on the left hand controller box. They are very different from wheels, but pitch bending is a lot more like a guitar neck and easy to get used to quickly.
I just want to sit in on a studio/video recording day with you and just watch you work. There's no other synth-wizards on youtube who do things like you do, it's always interesting, always funky as hell, and your videos always give the best sense of what you can do with a synth. @@h2o1969 It is a really amazing synth, no doubt about it. I got the Gray Meanie version for the same price as the 'normal' one for €569,- You can do all the patches on it from the original ARP2600 patch book and they sound just the same. Or should I say you can make them sound the same. It's got a low end that'll make the house shake, sub-audible and luckily Behringer didn't add any modern effects. They left the design as it should be and only made changes that made sense like some more waveforms in oscillator 3 and adding MIDI. That was a wise move. The filter is truly amazing. It's got the same circuitry inside as the original only with modern components. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get one. ^_^

Another nice video Alex! I really like the design of the original 2600. At 60% scale it looks though and even more serious. Like it's saying "I may be small but I punch hard!". Which going by your demo, it does. Recently got a Behringer 2600 and it does all the same things. But sadly it doesn't stand up by itself like the original does. And the Korg 2600 M does look cooler to my eyes.
Works very well at 60%. I guess it's the first really big synth they've reissued in mini scale and it has the size to take a reduction for sure. It's also very nice that it has the ARP logo and everything. Nice touch.
@@AlexBallMusic Yup, Korg definitely get points for making this a proper tribute to the original. And having that original logo would genuinely be a selling point for me, if I was rich enough for that. Such a cool logo!
