You’ll begin with a savasana to settle in, then learn how to do a 3D breath for deep breathing that will calm your nervous system as you continue to work through postures that will stimulate digestion and release pent up physical, mental or emotional tension.
To deeply relax into our final savasana we used a breathing technique called the Physiological Sigh. It is a tool you can use to instantly turn on your parasympathetic nervous system and most people can feel a wave of relaxation within 20 seconds of practicing the sigh 3 times, like how we do it in savasana. You can learn more about the Physiological Sigh through Dr. Huberman’s podcast about Stress on his CZcams channel.

This is my first time doing this exercise, I’m doing this before I go to sleep after vomiting a few times earlier. I cried halfway. I just want you to know that this helped me a lot in grounding and being mindful. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Sarah!! Your videos I love so much and while I have slacked for about a year, I know I can slowly get back into it with your videos... but I also love your "outside of yoga" videos weather it's about back pain or your work you truly slip so much good advice in those. I would love to see some more of not strictly physical videos but your routine, or clearing your mind or dealing w stresses of everyday life... I get so much out of your videos like that and the yoga you truly give great, calming advice . I was so relaxed and ready for bed until you came on real loud with your advertisement. I could have tolerated it if you didn’t talk so much louder than your bedtime video that I just listened to. After all, you did say we could stay in shavasana for as long as we like.
