- Having a little happy nostalgia. This is one of the bits that made me smile. Replaying it and thought what the heck! Tried to keep as much of the quality as I could when uploading. Hope it works!

I love how Dante just completely ignores Nero to signify how utterly bored he is
He initially treats Nero like 99% of the harmless demons that aren’t Vergil or Mundus-level. But he eventually realises he was wrong to underestimate Nero

Few months later
Dante : I already stabbed myself and got a sick sword and still can't rev like that
He can atleast awaken it, he just needs to me stabbed by it (which happens in 4 minutes of play)
"What's the point of packing a sword if you ain't gonna use it" is what I imagen anyone who's ever played Devil May Cry 2 would be asking themselves.
It really is hilarious how overpowered the guns in that game are. I still used the sword anyways, just because I didn't want my playthrough to take fucking forever, but you legitimately could play the game guns only and still have an easier time than any other DMC game.
I remember when I got to the possessed helicopter boss, I didn't realize you were supposed to run from it and I just started firing. I managed to kill it with ease before going to the next room and realizing "oh wait, I'm supposed to be running away."
The AI for the fire minotaur boss broke and he just stood in the corner spamming the same three moves so I beat it by just standing on the other side of the arena.
DMC2 is a fucking joke.

@@lanzsaceda778 I could see that point, but you have to admit DMC 2 took it way too far. So many enemies can be beaten just be standing still and mashing the shoot button.
@@PlayerZeroStart Honestly, DMC2 did suck but it did make me wish for some gun focused combat someday.
I don't know if it makes sense(or even possible), but keep the same button combo formula, but with guns. It'd be cool as hell pulling off different combos making Dante(or if they do another character) shoot in different ways. Kinda like how Nero is more focused on a single sword but has many, many combos for them.

There is this PS2-era game based on the movie "Van Helsing" (with Hugh Jackman), which is absolutely amazing in terms of gameplay because it focuses on a more ranged-style combat and has "some" melee action as well.
It is a seriously good game, with fun secrets, cool bosses, and enemy encounters, and it is just overall a very fun experience.
It is literally a DMC2-style game but with actually fun combat. xD

I just started playing dmc4 recently and this scene made me genuinely laugh when I first saw it
(Nero trains his gun at Dante, only for his adversary to appear behind him.)
Dante: Yo... What's up?
(Nero, itching to fight in close combat, discards Blue Rose.)
Nero: I guess this doesn't quite cut it...
(The young knight stylishly kicks his sword, the Red Queen as if it were a kickstand on a bike, sending it into the air. Nero then accesses its latent flames, revving its engines.)
Nero: What's the point of packin' a sword like that if you aren't gonna use it?!
(Dante, seemingly thinking that he should copy what his opponent is doing, simply thrusts his sword, Rebellion, into the ground below and mockingly revs it, much to Nero's anger.)
The funny thing is that even though Dante is supposed to be mocking Nero’s rev, the Rebellion can’t even get a boost like Red Queen can always

This honestly has to be one of the best bits of character display from Dante that we have ever seen in this series lol bro showcased so much of his personality and confidence with this lil bit of mockery and zero words

He can reproduce the rev exhaust effects since he can literally summon sparkles while slaying chords with Nevan~
the moment just prior to the rev scene is one of my favorites in all of dmc4, nero takes a solid like 6 seconds for a dramaticass reload and by the time he points the blue rose dantes in a different zip code

Because of this scene i always thought 4 takes place after 2, since in DMC2 Dante doesn't talk as much as he always does, i like to believe that its because of depression for having to see his brother die (twice). And at the beginning of DMC4, Dante doesn't talk in this whole fight up until Nero reveals the Devil Bringer to him, that's when he realizes Nero has Sparda blood, that he still got a part of his family
I guess he still wasn't in humor to crack jokes right from DMC2 until this scene, he begins to slightly gain his sense of humor again by mocking his revving
I probably overthought this lol
2 is after or before 4 depending on the devs mood that day, it really don't matter on story terms, and it's good ideas were better used on the sequels, it still has the coolest looking dante.
DMCV confirmed that the timeline is now "3-1-2-4-5" so DMC4 takes place AFTER DMC2, and I agree with you on this scene :)
@@josemanoeltavaresfilho3693 DMCV confirmed 2 taking place in between 1 and 4, and I doubt that they'll change the timeline from now on, considering that they've finally settled on an order that makes sense :/

I love the detail of Nero pulling his wrist towards himself to rev the sword, whereas Dante pushes his wrist away from himself when he mimcs the sword revving.
Obviously in the heat of the moment you can't really focus what direction your opponent moves their hands when revving their sword lol.

Nero’s sword Red Queen has its own engine, and he can rev it to make it swing faster and do damage. Obviously this is really weird, a sword that you rev like a motorbike, so Dante is mocking that by pretending to rev his own sword Rebellion which is a more conventional weapon.
@@koalawithchaingun53 it's not even the red queen here, it's just a normal Order weapon. Nero's version has a triple sized engine modded in
