This is basic. How do you go about solving a problem without understanding it ? That's the basis for anything you do. This is part of the problem with videos. You need to start reading textbooks of which there are plenty of on ebay or PDF's on line. About the only useful thing here is big-O but that only applies when you start to be professional. Don't try to run before you can walk.
