Welcome to another video on the channel! This one is a little bit different as it doesn't feature a race, instead it lets you know about a Menu of the game which I believed everybody knew about.... until I realised that A LOT of players did NOT know about it!

Did you know that "Beyond the Apex" is available in actual book form? I have it in Japanese and English because I have both the JDM and USDM collectors editions.

There's an English version in book form? I thought it was only available in book form for the Japanese version. I have come across the English version for GT5 though which includes way more interesting and learning stuff than this one.

Yes KudosPrime was brilliant. Had an open page on my tablet to see where I was whenever I was racing. There is a way to get your dr but it looks complicated
I remember getting the booklets with the original Gran Turismo game on PS1 and 2. Although, that was back in the old days. Maybe PD should make everyone at least open that section of the menu as part of being able to progress in the game. Excellent video, as usual.

So the question is if forcing other drivers off of the track is forbidden then why did PD not make the penalty system so that it punishes you for forcing someone off of the track?
The penalty system does do that, it just doesn’t do it consistently well enough for whatever unknown reason, often if you look at the penalty just under the amount of time, it says ‘forcing another car off the track’.

Irl, you do not yield the racing line to the faster car; you stay on the line and let the faster car pass you off the racing line.
Yeah, I found that a bit odd that they would change this for the game.
I knew it was there, but I have to admit I didn't know what it contained, and yes, some of those articles will answer questions I have 😂 Cheers
Yet, in the solo mode, AI follows none of the driving rules mentioned in the guidelines
That's just preparing you for the realities of Sport Mode 😅
Just a thought, with all the “dirty” racing thats happening, along with the fact of the most folk haven’t looked at ‘Beyond the Apex’, maybe if there was a ‘how to’ video on good racing techniques and etiquette it might help with the issue. I dare say most of the problem are young folk that don’t know any better. Just a thought. Also, do you host your own lobbies and race with your viewers?
Yeah that could be a good shout for a video... I haven't done any lobbies yet, but it's definitely something we will be doing in the future 👍
Another thing is using the drivers view on ps4 there is 1/3 of the one rear view mirror... makes things a little difficult.
Its not to learn anything new, its there to remind us of the things we always knew.
My driving position is pretty much what GM thought was appropriate for a 98 Buick LeSabre, because that's what my seat came from.

The rumble function gives me the tactile feedback I need to learn where the car is on the track.
