Don't be discouraged brothers and sisters, we are imperfect and inherently at a loss. The key is to never give up trying to be a better Muslim.
    Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3540
Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, said: ‘O son of Adam! Verily as long as you called upon Me and hoped in Me, I forgave you, despite whatever may have occurred from you, and I did not mind. O son of Adam! Were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky, then you sought forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you, and I would not mind. So son of Adam! If you came to me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you met Me not associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.’”

Allah said pray regularly and give zakat for rewards hereafter. But if someone does not pray often but he believes in Allah, Prophets, Quran he is a believer and Muslim. No one knows what Allah will do if someone does not pray at all or does not believe in pray.. However, if someone believes in pray and other pillars of Islam but he does not pray no one in the world can call him Kafer (only Allah knows better). There is a lots of Muslim who did not pray their entire life but they started pray at some stage of their life before they die.. Allah may accept their prayer..

Yeah, that's the problem with literalism. There are sound hadith which mention somebody who said la ilaha illah will go to jannah. And other hadith which say somebody who has a mustard seed of eman will go to jannah.
Abandoning Salah by saying I don't need to pray is kufr, not praying and knowing missing it is a major sin.

I don't full fill all my prayers because I have my own excuses to Allah but I know I am commiting a major sin ...But again Allah's Mercy is above all our sins no matter how big they are ..He forgives whom he chooses too and we can only rely on his mercy we can never earn our place in Paradise with our actions

  • @usamuslimvt

Assalamu alaykum, always appreciate you Sheik! My take on the conversation is simple. "Muslim" means "one who has submitted one's will to God". If you deliberately do not pray, knowing it is fard, you are not submitting your will to God, hence you are not Muslim. Islam isn't defined by ethnics or culture...it's defined by faith and character.

  • @nine2five247
    @nine2five247 Před 2 lety +14

    Here are my questions,
Q1) Is there a limit of how many salah you miss intentionally that would make you a kafir? For example, is the consequence the same as missing all of today’s 5 salahs compared to a year of not praying at all intentionally without having any good reason?
Q2) if the shahada is required for missing your salah intentionally do I need to take my shahada the same way as a new Muslim with witnesses present? Or can I just say the shahada myself in my own private space ? Lastly, the sheikhs and people who give dawah don’t usually inform the ummah to take shahada for missing salah when they know majority of Muslims miss their prayers intentionally due to work and other personal matters. I think the primary topic should always be reminding people to take their shahada rather then talking about repenting from the other common sins. Because imagine on a Friday you are giving kutbah to 1000 men and half of them never pray intentionally, surely after the kutbah they’ll just stand up and perform the salah with the emaam.
    Allah knows best

But in the last scenario he explained, what if he didn't want to pray because he was forced to pray and praying under such sercomstances will have a messed up neeah ( intention) which in his mind would be not appropriate therefore he refused to pray? unless you pray at that moment with the intention of saving your life, but then that defeats the the final argument in that explanation? As the sheikh said the Hadith is concerning an individual's conviction on praying, which cannot be always determined by situations and events.

Sheikh said you must do shahada and then randomly cut off with touché.
What do you have to do exactly to rejoin Islam?
I think you must take a ritual bath then wado then shahada then 2rakat salaa like morning prayer then ask for forgiveness.
Am I right or am I missing something brother???

Assalamu-alaikum..Iam 13 yo and i have a problem.. I've heard its okay/permissible if i tell my Sin to know the ruling on it..so the thing is that.. *I've intentionally missed praying Knowing that it was obliged and upon me and i would do kufr if I don't pray ..But I still missed them and didn't pray..So if I did KUFR now, that means iam not a Muslim Anymore right?? Then How can i be Muslim again? Should i take the Shahada? Today is Jum'uah and i also didn't pray Isha and fazr ... I intentionally skipped them out of my whim(you may say)* *NOT ONLY DID I SKIP..I LIED THAT I PRAYED AND ACTED THAT I PRAYED..AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME* ... So now i Want to correct things again, I want Become Muslim again if iam taken out of the fold of Islam for this..what should i do now ?? Should i take my shahada and become Muslim again? I don't know what to do....And Also
As much as ik one should ask forgiveness publically if he exposed his sins or if his sins are public..So I really apologise and request for an solution to my problem..
And also please, I don't want anyone to go easy and doesn't give Actual solution because iam just 13 yo and you may think iam still a kid and i would be forgiven..But i have understanding it was sin and as much as ik sin starts counting from 7,9 or 13 .. I don't have knowledge...

To my understanding, if we believe that we MUST offer salah/pray, but STUBBORNLY REFUSE to offer salah/pray, then we become a kafir.
Best is used for introspecting self, not to judge others who do not pray. If we have brother or sister who do not pray, we can remind them or asking them like "let's go offer salah/pray together", but best to not label them kafir.

  • @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights

  • @billmurray7721

The opinion of the one who misses a single prayer becoming kafir is the opinion of a very minority of scholars.
In fact, the belief that the one who abandons salah out of laziness becomes a kafir is in itself a minority view (relied upon opinion in hanbali school).
All the other 3 vastly larger schools hold the opinion that not praying makes one a fasiq (sinner) not a kafir (disbeliever).
It should be noted that the relied upon opinion in hanbali school is that the one who never prays becomes a kafir, not the person who prays sometimes and not others.
