  • This video is a compilation of comments your squadmates can make during Grunt's recruitment mission as you meet Okeer and later debate whether you should take his perfect krogan creation.
Near the end of Grunt's recruitment mission you will reach Okeer's laboratory. He recognizes Shepard and has been impatiently waiting for them to take him out of the Blue Suns research base. Before he starts making more demands, your squadmates will interject with your real reason of being here - Okeer's potential knowledge about the Collectors.
When the Blue Suns merc leader Jedore orders to flush the tanks, including Okeer's perfect krogan, he will ask you to take her out while he makes sure his legacy survives. After dealing with Jedore, you squadmates will comment on alarms going off back in the lab, after which EDI urges you to get back there quickly as Okeer's life signs are failing rapidly.
You rush back, only to find Okeer dead on the floor. After listening to his final words coming from the console, you will approach a tank with a single krogan. Your squadmates will contemplate why Okeer would sacrifice himself for this and debate whether opening the tank is a good idea. Mordin will have some unique dialogue for this part. Depending on Shepard's response, your squadmates will have some final comments before you contact the Normandy and inform them about the situation and a big incoming package.

Always strange to see how much dialog legion has.

    Okeer’s voice is amazing!

Voiced by David Fennoy, who also voiced Ronald Taylor in this game, and whose most famous role is Lee Everett from Telltale's The Walking Dead.

Thanks so much for solving an old confusion of mine. ME fandom wiki said on Mordin's unique dialogue page that
    > Mordin will interject during the conversation with Okeer and has unique dialogue regarding krogan genetics that Shepard has a chance to respond to before ordering Grunt's pod to the Normandy.
And I somehow read that as Mordin having a long ass debate with Okeer, but it must be the part at 3:30.

I also remember reading about that! So when I was making this video I was hoping to find some special dialogue regarding Mordin's direct involvement in modifying the genophage but then I realized Shepard can't know about that yet since it's only revealed after Horizon.

I don't think I've ever brought Mordin on this mission, I didn't know he had unique lines about releasing Grunt.

@4:00 Hey, some good advice from Jacob for once.

Does tali not have a variant of the lines around 4:30?

Strangely enough, no, I couldn't get her line to trigger for this part.

@@EmilyOnGames huh interesting. How *does* the game decide which squadmate's lines to trigger btw? Some priority that the game runs down the list and chooses whoever is highest? Noticed you had jack as the secondary squadmate for a bunch of them.

There definitely seems to be some sort of priority system. When it comes to capturing footage for these videos, it's mostly just a lot of trial and error involved to find the right combination to get the less chattier squadmates to finally say something.
In this case, Garrus was the one initiating the conversation and Jack was the one responding, that's why they appear most often in the video.

@@EmilyOnGames and Thane is always very low on the priority list. Every time I take him he barely speaks, the other companion eats up almost all of the dialogue...
