- There's a large movement toward pasture raised livestock in this country and that includes pork. We love our Idaho Pasture Pigs and love that we get to provide them for people in our community. These pigs AREN'T cheap.... nor should they be. You won't find pork like this at Walmart! This country made a big mistake by leaning on low-cost foods...

Congratulations,on Selling the piglets so quickly, I hope this is just the beginning if a great success of yours and Ashlyns farm.
Thank you! We hope so too!
Let us see this channel grow in number of subscribers. A really good channel with a couple intelligent young people creating a great life for their selves and sharing their journey ❣️ with so many of us on CZcams! We hear the young lady Ashlands name often but seldom do we hear the Man of the house name 😮 making that connection with subscribers is everything. Congratulations and hoping to see some explosive growth with this channel in the coming months 👏
You're Awesome! Thank you Stanley!
You should check out timeless fence. For electric fence solutions there is actually a dealer right there in Owensville
Thanks!
Thank you Brian!

You and your wife are doing a Great job!😊
Yay got my farm fix watching all the animals this morning! I wish I could do what you're doing with having the farm/homestead but get my fix by watching since I can't so thanks for sharing with us🐖🐄🐔🥰
Wow ur really making something of it. Way to go. Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi Zach, congratulations on getting all of your piglets sold so quickly. It will be interesting to see how the sale of the fall ones go. If some of your buyers were followers of your channel they would know the good care you give them. It is always so relaxing watching cows graze in a field of grass.
It will be interesting to see how they sell! We usually give out our CZcams Channel when people inquire so they can see who they are buying from! Its a great marketing tactic!
Enjoyed this video a whole lot. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Glad you have homes for the piglets…no waiting for the others. Loving your videos and your farm stories. What is your next DIY project, or Is it more farm this time of year? ( not that I’m bothered love both
This time of year we definitely have more farm work/projects going on! We will have plenty more DIY projects down the road
Congratulations on the quick sale. Perhaps you should raise your prices. From the response you received I believe you are under valuing your livestock. Good news for next spring.
Thank you! And yes, I think our prices were too low. We will be raising them next litter!
Check the little spotted ones-- one is limping back right leg.
Thank you Brenda! I actually talked about that little guy further in the video :) he made a quick turn around a couple days later and was back to normal :)
You already knew!! Your a good animal keeper!!
Love watching the channel!! Great job
Love this 🎉❤
Zach great job on the production and the overall success of your animals!! Keep up the hard work!
Good progress 17:19
i love that birdhouse on the fence post - is there any birds that use it?
you have done a great job socialising those little piggies
Yes! We have birds that use it. I think swallows? Not totally sure though.
if you can get some footage of them i would love to see it.
time to raise your price if they go that fast :)
I completely agree!
Greatvideo. Hey go check out Pete at Just a few Acres Farm. Pete is redoing his barn for a pig operation. Maybe you can get a few tips from his ideas.
We watch most of petes videos! Great channel and inspiration!
Remember the interested ones who claimed they wanted 5 and 6 pigs, may just be talking. Don't plan your future on what a person said on a for sale ad. You may just be stuck with a ton of pigs unexpectedly.
When you sold out in 5 days and have people on a waiting list, you can bet we are going to have another litter. There's always ups and down to business, but when signs point towards success, you keep walking that way!
@@ThePasturedHomestead Of course. Just reminding you not to count your eggs before they hatch. Not being critical at all.
Hi there! We found you on Craigslist. I’m going to either e looking for an ipp boar this spring/summer to breed my gilts. Didn’t know if you might have something around that time? Or if maybe you guys are considering shipping semen from your boars? I really don’t want to take on having a boar bc I’m reading about boar taint and not sure what you’re supposed to do with them once their breeding season is over. Any info helpful and appreciated. We’re in southeast ky. Thx
We sure will! We will have 3 possibly 4 different litters come March/april! A lot of people will butcher old boars as dog food if there is boar taint. It’s not always a guarantee that there is boar taint.
@@ThePasturedHomestead That’s a great idea. Hadn’t thought of that. We have a freeze dryer so that would be a great option. I subscribed to your channel and will be watching this spring for your litters to arrive. We bought our gilts in Tennessee so we wanted some different bloodlines. Ours aren’t registered but not sure if that even matters. Maybe next round I’ll make the investment for registered stock.
