- just collected 2024 bmw m1000xr. this bike is ridiculously fast, while being comfortable. fantastic handling. bike is not yet unlocked and the acceleration is still ferocious. best bike that i've ridden. got quite a few farkles on order. i've ridden on dirt, snow, hours in torrential rain storms, canyons, riding for several hours continuously. bike is comfortable and very versatile. it is the dream bike. very well done bmw.

I got mine about the same time you got yours. I'm in Oregon.
These were definitely a pain to get. Was on a waitlist, fourth person deep and realized that if I really wanted one, I need to figure something out because there’s no way they’re getting four in. Found a dealer in Indianapolis that had nobody on the list, picked mine up on Wednesday. Just waiting on titanium akrapovic headers to get in, and service next Friday to remove this limiter.

Congratulations my brotha man :) You can tour on that bad boy and then do a track day. The best of ALL worlds...Once tuned, you could probably blow the head gasket off of a Ducati Multistrada V4 RS for sure(even a tuned one !! )

@@damytzeusgo with @btmoto stage 2. You won’t regret it. Obviously after you get an after market exhaust. And a Sprinter Air filter.
@damytzeus oh yes it's a must have after your first service. It's very noticeable that the factory tune is holding back it's worst than my S1KRR.

@damytzeus I was think of them as well. My gen 1 xr and gen 2 xr had bhp uk tunes.

Good call, I am loving mine too. And of course the carbon wheels are a huge benefit.
carbon wheels make all the difference. when installed cf on the super duke, it was like i bought a new motorcycle.
I just got mine 3 days ago here in las Vegas, I ordered the low seat and they send me the standard which is the high seat. noticed that you wanted the high seat and got the low seat what are the chances of a swapping our seats?
mine supposed to be standard seat. yours looks taller? please send pic to "motocrazy at qi mm st" dot between qi, mm, and st. i want high seat. i'm interested in swap
@@damytzeus looks like we both got the standard which is the tall version, so you do have the taller version already.
@@IAM-hs1yg there are three versions of seat height: low, standard and high. i apparently have standard. i ordered high seat and bmw delivered standard. i'll probably order seat from corbin and have corbin make it tall.
according to dealership, almost every m1000xr shipped to US came with standard seat. apparently, only a few arrived with low seats. no high seats to US.
@@damytzeus i am not in to CZcams video's but you should make one complaining about this and other issues with BMW , I've also noticed that the two small blue stickers closest to the gas tank have not been sprayed with clear coating as the rest of the bike
