    I was in RFS before it was RFS and went through that first intersection on many responses. Brings back memories!

    Why such a long turnout, considering another pump was there and the car was in the back of a tow truck. Why would the service put other road users at risk to assist to pick up spagsorb or what ever material that the other pump used to contain the spill on the ground.

      @tristangarratt9927 Před 3 lety +7

      Essentially during the fire season its the first responding appliance, however the other pump got there first. I've responded to QHill parkway from Schofields and by the time we've gotten there, FRNSW has already been there. Its the life of RFS, being stood down by townies.

      In our area, they usually send an appliance from one direction and another from the opposite direction. There are many reasons why they do this and the main one is, if the road is blocked in both directions there is an appliance at either end of the crash site..

    Nice response video. Just hope you don't have an accident while responding to a call. Alwayer for the victims of the crash will find the listening to a typical morning radio show while responding to an emergency call disturbing. Your concentration should be entirely on getting to the scene through heavy traffic and not distracted by the tunes or morning radio host chatter.

    • @ComputersAndSoftware
      @ComputersAndSoftware Před 3 lety +1

      When one is driving response one has to be 1. relaxed, and 2. concentrating 'loose' that is avoiding tunnel vision, taking in the whole road scene and watching the traffic as a body far ahead. Often when driving you wouldn't even hear the commercial radio if it was on.

      The idea is that they are a flyer (They already have a crew ready to go) Yes other brigades are closer but they still have to get to the station, get their gear together and on the road making it longer.

      Grow up ya child, coppers have it going, paramedics do too, also its a dashcam and they have half decent microphones in them, they pick up a lot, it might not have been that loud considering the crew were talking aswell. If you dont have anything nice to say just shut the fuck up.
