@@BladeMasterIcarus The Fact that he yells OH NO ala Joseph Joestar makes his absurd luck even funnier.
I swear. Chugga is like the anti-tempting fate. Sometimes he says something and his natural luck just overrides any temptation fate may have.
Ironically, it’s actually the opposite. The process that makes Resonance more successful actually reduces quality of the Core Crystals of Rare Blades, reducing them to Common Blades.

Zeke you have NO idea
And he waited for 3 days....... *flashback to Ursala sidequest*
"Finally. You took your sweet time." Fact Check: True
Fact Check: Official sources say this is entirely true.
Fact Check: Mostly False.
While Chuggaaconroy did indeed spend three days away from the mission objective, these days were spent completing Ursula’s personal quest and therefore the time taken was not “sweet”. As such, we give this a mostly false rating.
@@Hadaron Fact Check: Still mostly true.
While he wasn’t exactly twiddling his thumbs, he still took an awfully long time to get to Zeke. It’s less about the content, and more about the time itself. They were literally invited by the Praetor himself, and he went around completely side quests instead of completing the main goal. Again, it was well used, and being prepared isn’t never a bad thing, but it was still taking his sweet time.

"I've been waiting here for three whole days already!"
"Three days? Seriously?"
I mean, c'mon now, you've been sidequesting for how long it's been now? Heck, I'm surprised he _only_ waited three days.
3 days was about how long it took him to do Ursula's side quest (it was like 26 hours or something, factor in sleep and eating and boom)
That rock must have knocked them pretty damn far.
“I gave Rex an extra two weeks to get things sorted out! And he STILL took an extra three days!”
We must commend Zeke's IQ here. He accurately estimated when Rex and Friends would show up, while they were travelling from Titan to Titan, doing tons of sidequests, sleeping at inns etc. and only had to wait 3 days for Rex to show up at the port. I'm curious how many canonical days it took for Rex to do all those sidequests after leaving the village.
It turns out that grinding Ursula took 3 whole days, and everything else fit into the last day's evening looool

Then again I can see him coming up with this by himself
The Praetorium is just Cutscenes: The Titan
For a second I thought this was a Final Fantasy 14 comment, then I remembered I was on a Xenoblade video. Works just as well though
Indol predominantly being a weapon's trafficking nation that makes its money selling core crystals to other struggling countries just so they can give them a leg up during harder times reminds me a lot of Season 1 of Legend of Korra where Chi Bending became less of a Self Defense art and more like the early conceptualization of a Terrorist Cult involving the Equalists who considered Bending to be an act of high heresy with their logic behind it coming from how the Fire Nation terrorized the whole world for over a hundred years and millions of people all died in the process just so Sozin could go on a massive power trip and then later for Ozai to follow his Grandfather's foot steps decreeing himself to be God.
@@KnightofFunnyJunk maybe you shouldn't put this comment in a reply section.
Some of the best cutscenes in the game though imo
I find it very fitting that when Zeke gets serious, even the music BEFORE Incoming plays gets serious.
Also, my experience with the Zeke fights:
First two: underleveled, beat first try.
This fight: overleveled, took a few attempts
...I mistook one of Zeke's laughs in the cutscene for Chugga chiming in before the cutscene ends. I don't know if that's a compliment or insult to Chugga's voice.
I'm sure Emile takes having his voice confused with the great Zekenator's a compliment.
That's like how I thought the growls when he first got Wulfric were him.
I love how Indol is like the Alcamoth of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the titan looks a lot like a telethia.
It's also a nice connection in terms of functionality.
0:25 I was sad the zeke fight got delayed so long but the fact he says this makes it all the better that it took so long

@@IanJHelm Yes. Impressive for an elderly woman hard of hearing to get that when I usually play video games on the story below ground level. When this game came out, that was my Christmas break...
Same thing for my dad. He had to see for himself.
Things Emile Missed:
-If you’re facing the stairs going up to the Village Guardian, you’ll notice there’s a collection point shown to your left (going East) on your map. You’ll need to do a bit of rock climbing to get to it as it’s on a ledge above, but the climb pays off not only with a collection point but also with a red treasure trove with two Common Core Crystals, an Endurance II aux core, and a couple thousand gold. Remember, if you see a collection point in a suspicious place on the map, chances are there’s treasure or something worthwhile nearby or on that path (or that collection point is just really good).
You might have noticed that there’s a split path on Godsford Isle between the Skip Travel point and the road down to the Isle of Urchons (aka Emile’s worst nightmare). I would strongly advise against going down there as even though there’s a lot of loot to be had, every enemy on that island is at least Level 60. If you want to at least discover the location name though, it should be pretty safe to do so. You might even recognize the name if you’ve paid attention to NPC dialogue over the course of the game.
Three days. THREE days, they’ve been waiting. Now, no more. Time for them to get serious.
2:05 Third time’s the charm. He’s not joking around anymore. It’s time for them to see what royalty’s really made of.
So if you were just blitzing through this game, this is where you would’ve first heard of Tantal. But where’s this mythical Tantal located? Why, Genbu of course! Did you think “von Genbu” was some made up name?
Shield your innocent eyes, Fan.
5:00 Well, that was still a pretty stylish ending all the same.
Rex has become such a good judge of character since fighting Vandham that first time. He really is shaping up to be more like the old man.
9:35 Sure is. The Indolese Titan is our second Titan that doesn’t swim or walk in the Cloud Sea. Like Goldmouth, it remains above the Cloud Sea as it has the wings to keep flight, though it can dive into the Cloud Sea as necessary. Needless to say, you don’t want to go jumping off into the Cloud Sea at this height.
11:05 Another distinguishing trait of theirs is longevity. Like Dromarch noted and as can only be the case of someone who is Malos’s Driver, Indolines live very long lives. Think of them like elves in most fantasy stories. They may not necessarily be immortal (I don’t believe there’s any record of the longest living Indoline. We just know that Praetor Alamthus is over 500 years old. Also note, not invulnerable. People seem to think that immortality means that you cannot be killed, but that’s not always the case), but for the purposes of the story they may as well be.
Oh c’mon Emile. She doesn’t even have a speaking role, and you’re assigning that voice to her? It’s OK. Ursula’s Blade Quest can’t hurt you anymore.
12:33 There’s one more good deed that you can do here in Indol, and I believe that’s the last one. So the cheapest way to go about unlocking Perun’s key affinity node 2 is to pay the mooring fee of 15G, buy a heart cookie for 120G, and then do the other good deed in Indol for another 500G. Unless you got a Gold Cylinder as a reward at some point (I wouldn’t include the one you get for Salvager Rank D. That takes a minimum of 800G for the checks), the minimum amount you need to spend to power up Perun is 635G. Technically there are two more good deeds you can do beyond these five, and one of them costs nothing, but you do miss out on some rewards if you take that path.
13:50 OK, so as long as you do unlock them, Ursula’s missions remain available, including the one-time ones.
14:02 You do need to grind up for Holy Choir. That requires 99 Vocal Stamls.
That makes sense. I believe a lot of the Indoline names are based on ancient Greek, kind of like Praxis and also lending to how Xenoblade tends to take more from Greek than Latin.
18:46 In fact there are no contracts to obtain from these shops on Indol. No deeds to get. None. Very strange.
22:12 The night version I believe makes it easier to listen to the lyrics. It also like many other day/night themes gives a different feeling to the area you’re in.
29:00 Always with the class disparity, even in a place like Indol.
30:48 SONO CHI NO SADAME! JOOOOOOOJOOO!
31:18 OH MY GOD!
And yes, these are indeed Jojo references, and rightfully so! Gorg’s guest artist Soraya Saga, who is Tetsuya Takahashi’s wife, is a huge JJBA fan. From the poses to the fact that he is exactly 195 centimeters tall which is just as tall as Jonathan and Joseph Joestar as well as Jotaro Kujo (a common trait among Joestars is their height), not to mention the fact that he is a strategist (another common aspect among the various Jojos are their quick thinking in the heat of battle and their crazy strategies they devise) he is basically a JoJo character in a Xenoblade game.
Praise be to the Praetor I guess. Lucky us! And we’re also doing the refugees a favor by taking a Core Crystal away from them and doing Gorg a favor by getting him away from the refugees. Win-win!
32:52 In Indol anyways.
34:00 It’s like what Mythra says. Everything’s intentionally made grand and pristine while the refugees are all delegated to the lower area.
Literally throwing money away, but this is the other good deed I was talking about. And it specifically has to be 500G thrown gently. 100G is not enough.
Indol is such a beautiful and peaceful place. I sure do hope nothing terrible happens to it!

"Church choirs are beautiful but you can never understand what the heaven they're saying."
There, fixed it for ya :)
I never noticed Indol's wings flapping before, that's really cool. Also, the Gormotti refugee camp is kind of an interesting area thematically. Tetsuya Takahashi really seems to like writing stories about refugees and people displaced from normalcy or from their homes for various reasons, it's a theme in a lot of his games and it's reflected in the main characters too. Their motivations tie into their displacement, particularly Nia and Zeke (I can't go into specifics though for spoiler reasons). Plus, with Mor Ardain dying, the entire population of that titan are soon to become refugees as well, hence the Gormott annexation. As much as it's about global warming, as Emile said a few videos ago, the whole setting is themed around refugees. And speaking of, 16:17. And remember what Chugga explained a while ago about elemental weaknesses going both ways? Poppi Alpha kept getting killed by Overload Thunder Beam and I got stuck on this fight for hours and was actually starting to make me NOT LIKE ZEKE (gasp). Then I searched around online and found out the X thing.
Also, Zeke being a prince took me completely by surprise, though by this point I had a feeling he'd join the party next.
Oh hey, here's Gorg. So apparently his designer (Tetsuya Takahashi's wife and co-writer of the original Xenogears and Xenosaga story) is a huge JoJo fan and that shows in his appearance. I don't have much experience with JoJo so I can't really say.

Hearing Indol's theme in full just makes me that much more excited for you to reach Theosoir. I love the night variant of that city.
After hearing it hear I think the hymn of indol might be one of my favorite songs in all xenoblade.
As a choral singer myself, Indol's day and night themes ended up being my favorites in the soundtrack. Kind of reminded me of the music of Ola Gjeilo, one of my favorite choral composers.
Real shame about Indol's overall place in the story.
Literally any height: *exists*
Zeke: Cowabunga it is
So, Ursula gained enough fans to break world record in less than three days
I always loved this part for how they portrayed Zeke! He's a comic relief character with an ego that thinks he's super powerful and all..... But the funny thing is that he actually IS. It's hilarious and badass at the same time. It displays his actual power in a real situation. Zeke is def my favourite character for this reason! He's silly and you don't expect him to be strong, but he is! I also love how all of his moves have super over the top names but are also really powerful.... And he announces them out loud.
Chugga: does story content
Me: 00:24
31:15
Hence I dub this blade Hermit Gorgle
"Finally, you took your sweet time" has to be the most fitting line of the let's play so far.
Me: loving the choral inset
Edit: transitions back to including main game audio just at a real crunchy chord
Me:
Finally I get to talk about my favorite scene in this game with the Bringer of Chaos himself. This here shows so much foreshadowing and misdirection in a short time. The scene starting off with Morag recognizing Zeke gets you notice the surprise in her voice, but is immediately throwing you off with Nia's comment. Rex wondering why Zeke knew what he know gets the player curious to think back. There is also the point where Nia breaks the team rocket style joke ending by bringing up the terrain as before the scene the camera would pan out to tell the player what is about to happen without making it obvious. Finally there is the music, usually it is chipper and goofy, but here it's all ominous and creepy like something is not right. This all builds up greatly when you see Zeke burst out, and "shock" (sorry) the player that he is so much stronger. And the worst part is it makes you realize that you only won those fight likely because you got lucky, and that is not going to help you this time. Sorry for ranting, I just really love this scene, and it was handled so well. Best part of the game for me, and I haven't played this yet.
Zeke: I've been waiting here for there's whole days already!
Disclaimer: in Chuggaconroy time is 15 days
*pulls Gorg on a whim* Chugga is now suffering from success
Zeke: "Do you know how many hours I've been here for?! THREE DAYS!"
Ah yes the return of Emile going Joesph Joestar and screaming OOHH NOOO!
I never get tired of the Zekenator's loyal blade mimicking his every movement
Pandoria is the best, I absolutely love her sass. They compliment each other really really well
"I've been waiting here for three whole days already!"
Try 15.
Nia and Zeke's little hello exchange at the beginning kills me everytime
We're finally getting to see more of Zeke! Won't spoil too much, but if you somehow DIDN'T fall in love with this guy yet, just wait! Seriously one of my favorite characters in recent memory, as well as Pandoria!
Zeke: I've been waiting three whole days already!
Huh. I wonder what he did in his spare time. Save Termina from being crushed to death by a giant moon with an angry face, perhaps?
I was behind on episodes by 10, and hurried here because I loooove Indol. The choir makes the whole place shine with a divine feeling
Lore of the area aside, I am so happy we are already at Indol. Both the day and night themes are so beautiful and are some of my favourite tracks on this soundtrack. Also thanks Chugga for adding the lyrics because I honestly didn’t know the whole thing before
