Well with the recent trailer the house crests finally make sense:
    1. Rhoads - Glimmer's spear that turns into a chello
    2. Cassini - Rex's aegis swords
    3. Vandham - Matthew's gauntlets
    4. Doyle - Na'el's energy attack in her artwork
    5. Reid - Shulk's monado / A's lucky 7

  • @jasperjavillo686

There is a theory that Ortiz and Rhodes are a reincarnated Klaus and Galea, respectively. Ortiz’s description matches Shulk, but also pre-experiment Klaus, being a scientist who crafted a lot of the stuff found in Elysium, as well as jumpstarting life in Alrest. Rhodes’ description lines up with how Galea was a compassionate goddess as Meyneth. Plus, the fact that they would have been reincarnated as people of the world opposite the one they were most benevolent to is a delicious source of irony.

I’ve always found the argument incredibly silly lol. A major story arc in XBC2 has Pyra learning to trust in her own power again after Rex pulls her out of her self destructive downward spiral, and yet the dlc still went on to cover the exact event that resulted in her mind being irreparably shattered in two despite us having already ‘moved on’ from this. Taking this into account, the theme of rejecting the Endless Now being used to argue against the prospect of dlc taking place within Aionios seems rather strange.

For Rex’s age problem to be the founder of the house of Cassini, it could be that because he was the driver of the aegis, he lived a longer lifespan. In chapter 5 of XC2, the party was surprised when amalthus appeared so young, to which he replied something along the lines of “i am indoline and the driver of an aegis: it keeps me young.” Then again, he was a **SPOILER** blade eater and cleansing core crystals.

      Spoiler Ahead:
      It’s Nia.
Why is it Nia, you ask?
Because the founder used an Ouroboros Stone instead of a statue of themselves, since they didn’t want their identity known.
This fits in with Nia, being the Queen of Agnus she doesn’t want the City’s people averting their eyes from Moebius onto Keves as the true enemy. Nia is also the one who made the Ouroboros Stones, so it’s even more proof. This also lines up with how both Vandhams give you Agnian classes, since their founder is Agnian and most likely Nia chose someone from her world since she knew a very important Vandham.

    Two things:
First, I expect the DLC to take place after the main game with questions about the past of Aionios being answered through flashbacks of various characters. Eunies entire subplot after all confirms that experiencing memories of past lives through dreams is a thing that can happen..
Second, on Vandham and Doyle being possibly the children of pre mobius M and N, it has to be noted that Ms death scene takes place in a medical facility, the same facility she gave birth to their son, and her dying due to her time running out, as we can see from the yellow motes coming from her, is very unlikely to be the reason for her to be in the medical facility at that point.

    • @FireFury190
      @FireFury190 Před rokem +17

That's basically what I thought too. Over the course of whatever epilogue story has Shulk and Rex team up with Noah and Mio, the two would get jolts of their memories in Aionios and we'd learn what they did during in their old lives.
My whole epilogue idea would basically be a hunt for the Conduit as the two worlds after 10 years since they were returned to normal would end up colliding again. And seeing as the Conduit was what separated the worlds in the first place and likely kept them from merging for millions of years, it can be the quest for the characters of the 3 games to get the Conduit and plug it into Origin to have the worlds merge back together again. Because having Origin constantly preventing the worlds from merging every 10 years will not really solve the problem permanently. And they don't want another Z event to happen again.
The main villain would be Consul A who would be a Moebius whose goal is to restore Aionios so they can continue the endless now. And they'd bring back some of the Consuls from 3 who would very likely want to return to that life. Case in point Dirk. Who pretty much loved being Moebius so he could continue his collection for eternity. I'd also bring back Fog Kings back as enemies who would pretty much act as signs that the worlds are merging again. On 1's world they'd look like Guldos like in FC and in 2's world they'd look like Telethia.

I'm particularly curious about the scene where Noah realizes why Motes still appear when he off-saw Joran's puppets.
I think the yellow motes seen at homecoming represent the will to move on from the endless now, explaining how they never come back and how they weaken Z and Moebius (who represent the will of the people to stay in the endless now), since they have less life in the population to feed off.

    • @emblemblade9245

The motes are a really interesting thing because they come from both Joran’s mud puppets and Guernica’s eyepatch in Monica’s hero quest. It’s discussed a little and implied that offseeing exists for the living to convey their feelings to the dead, not for the dead to “speak” to the living.
As for the golden motes (which I think don’t ever occur from offseeing), that definitely seems like “rejecting the endless now” and returning to Origin instead of the cycle. I wonder if those are the voices Z occasionally speaks to

I think the explanation to Rex being alive is that the former lives from Bionis and Alrest who didn't fit the "Soldier" criteria and thus were left unmarked by Moebius were given the Klaus treatment, granting them immortality until they were inevitably slain by Moebius. That's the best headcanon I can come up with.

    • @liamruiz3196
      @liamruiz3196 Před rokem +10

Here's my theory from extensive consideration of how everything fits:
    1. VANDHAM: N and M's grandson. Pretty obvious pick. I can see some interesting drama in a confrontation between Vandham and N.
    2. DOYLE: N and M's granddaughter. Added drama for N to scowl at.
    3. CASSINI: Obviously Rex as a mentor. I wouldn't be surprised if Aionios's frozen time caused him to stop aging. That's a cool theory. His apprentice likely won't be anything special, but we'll see.
    4. REID: The statue here is definitely of Shulk. Probably has a prolonged life similar to Rex. However, I believe this form of Shulk is dead. If the apprentice is his adopted daughter, that would be cool.
    5. ORTIZ: With the mentor Shulk dead, I imagine his soul was returned to Origin and thrown into the Endless Now as a Kevesi soldier. This opens the way for an interesting dynamic between him and Reid.
    6. RHODES: Absolute mystery here, but I would be totally fine with her being the bland one of the group.
    7. FOUNDER 7: Yeah probably Nia. With how short the DLC will be, I can't see them having a bloated cast. The only other person I could see is Riku, but Nia's more likely.

Reid's mentor and Ortiz both being Shulk with the former being dead seems unlikely just from a timing perspective, but we don't know exactly how long before the rest of the campaign the scene with Shulk and Rex facing off against Οντως is.

However it is a process that can easily turn romantic. Interlinking requires the absolute baring of one’s soul to their partner. Despite the bluntness of how it’s depicted it’s a very intimate and even life changing experience. With that kind of closeness is it really any surprise that it tends to form close relationships.

In my opinion, I think these are who the founders’ statues are depicting:
    Ortiz: Shulk’s son
    Reid: Older Shulk
Doyle: the descendant of N and M
Vandahm: the descendant of N and M
    Cassini: Older Rex
Rhodes: Either Pyra or Mythra’s child, since one of them could reasonably have a child that looks like Pneuma
This is gonna be a bit off topic, but because Mio is heavily implied to be Nia’s daughter, I think it could be a possibility for Noah to be Shulk and Fiora’s son. It’s definitely possible that Fiora has the dark hair gene so again, it’s possible. As well as the fact that Noah’s bangs that cover his ears and the hair in his forehead resemble Shulk’s hair and bangs. And it also makes sense when you factor in Crys and Ortiz potentially being Shulk’s children as well, since it would parallel Rex having 3 children.

Moebius took almost all bounds and connections between people out of the world. Romantic love, fraternal love, and the love between friends. (Indeed, I think it's poignant that the painting Moebius wanted destroyed by Colony 0 when restored was named siblings.) Clarifications for the Founders now that Future Redeemed has been out for a couple weeks:
Vandham and Doyle: Actually great-grand children. Parents killed by Moebius, and grandfather killed by N during the destruction of the first City. Both are Agnian, probably because of genetics.
Cassini and Reid: Linka and Panacea respectively. Their mentors are Rex and Shulk respectively. They are not Linka or Panacea's daughters, but they are daughters of members in their parties (Z+P and R+S)
Ortiz and Rhodes: Nikol and Glimmer. Them living beyond 10 terms is because of stuff that happened at the end of FR. "Kind healer girl" is a pretty funny inaccuracy, out of everything else in this vid. Glimmer is probably Pyra (or Mythra)'s daughter while Nikol is Shulk+Fiora's son, both reborn into Aionios. Considering Nikol's weapons, I don't think the symbol is headwings 😔
Seventh Founder: Either A or just common variety Nopon. It most likely is the latter one though, since bro is just carrying Lucky Seven and analysing the Ouroburos Stone during FR. He also doesn't like fame so it checks out.

About that sword side tangent, I think that it's actually noah using the original, with N using a replica.
I first work on the assumption that the sword we see the noahs use in the memories isn't the sword that was actually used at the time, and that the sword that was used contained the original lucky 7, that was recovered and later on given to our noah. I suspect they showed that sword so as to hint at how these incarnations are the ones that make up N, and to differentiate them from the noah we play as. I can base some of this on two things:
The first, being how when you become moebius, you are given a black and purple version of the blade you used in life. A prominent example of this is with J, as we get to see the weapon he used before, and to an extent, M too. Moreover, I would imagine that recreating lucky 7 is more than feasible for Z, as he clearly can do it, or at the very least, he has the means to upgrade it (the sword N uses in the last fight in chapter 7 is proof of that).
The second being something Z says in a cutscene in chapter 7: "The sword of the end... Of all the vestiges of Origin, strewn throughout the world, who knew this fragment yet remained?". This quote leads me to believe that he thought that the sword was lost, or was no more. But more than that, it implies that this sword noah is using was known about at one point, and perhaps that it's even older than N's sword.

I think the statues actually shows different generations of Ouroboros :
-Cassini's and Reid's statues represent the generation 0, the previous games cast with a fusion of Rex and his mentor Zeke (one eye ) but also Morag (dualblade) and Shulk and his mentor Dunban, which begin the fight against Moebius after Origin highjack and actually aren't Ouroboros (thus the 0)
-Rhode's and Ortiz's are one of the first generation of Ouroboros, with Cassini, Reid (the actual people), Noah and Mio (some incarnation pre N and M) or some descendants (if it isn't the six first Ouroboros) which with the help of the generation 0 created the first City (this generation is both composed of soldier "converted" with Rhode and Ortiz and city folk with Cassini and Reid).
-Vandham's and Doyle's shows the new generation, post N destruction of the City, which found the second City and unlock the full potential of Ouroboros.
The actual people Vandham and Doyle are descendants of the Noah and Mio of the first generation (or descendants of descendants, which is the same).
The encounter Founder mention one Doyle's plaque is the generation 0, which were still around and thus explaining how Cassini's plaque mention the restoration. The reason they live centuries and beyond is because they aren't "Aionian" but from the previous worlds and like the two Queens didn't age but ultimately get killed by Moebius. Also there were probably Nopons (insert Riki here) and regular people in the non-Aionian (which worked on the Origin project), which also get killed by Moebius (but faster) and are the ancestors of the Nopons and the first city folk (but before tere was a City).
About the keys, well either the whole two casts had keys (and thus Melia's and Nia's are just the last) or there is only two and Melia and Nia were protected by the other (to the cost of their lives). Also maybe Nia wasn't the original key wielder but get its by Pyra or Mythra (she got their swords so it's maybe not the only things they give her).
And about Rhode and Ortiz, they are the child of Shulk and Rex trapped in the cycle of reincarnation (like Mio), and manage to get rid of it either by their respective competencies (engineering and health) or with Mio and Noah's perpetual reincarnation like shenanigans.

Since both Shulk and Rex wield Aegis, the AI from the old world, it's possible that Origin could have passed them over when they were making everyone reborn. Or perhaps the parties interactions with Zanza and the Architect caused them all to be passed over when rebirthing everyone, because it's not like we see any reincarnations of any of the main party members from either game. I'm not really sure how or why that would work, but we barely know how Origin works as it is.
