Wait! Are you telling me that the Super-Mutants from Fallout were actually super smart?
raider blastmaster armor also had tyre pauldrons in fallout 3 and new vegas from what i remember
Play original games, they are not futuristic orks as fallout 3 ad 4 shows them
@FirstLast-wk3kc yea but they were made using a different fev strain
Only accidentally. Tires are easy to find.
I wear tire Bob. I like tire it good. (Super Mutants might have something there.)
Shad's just out there spinning weapons around. Checks out.
Don't worry, their nerf.
Big scary swings
He's a wind turbine.
Yep...
My favorite clip of his is the one where he shows Deadpool a real flourish with the heavy metal music.
Best ten seconds of the channel in my opinion.
Shad "missing" both shots and hitting straight into Boromir is hilarious to me. The man is too lethal
He can't help but target weaknesses. He is a true predator.
Task Fail Successfully!
Another thing to think about is supplying a hypothetical army with this. It would be INFINITLY easier to get unskilled laborers to cut tires all day rather than good smiths to make comparable armor.
Yeah I think it’s perfect in the post apocalypse. The vast majority of people who survive aren’t gonna have metalworking experience just by nature of statistics. Those people still need armor so the stuff that’s easy to make is great
@@zedtheexplorer5206
I tend to disagree with that.
I feel the ones that would survive well are the ones already homesteading and living independently. I've met quite a few blacksmiths in those circles so far.
@@ShrockWPS Not the question. If you are going to feild an army. This is "good enough" as you would be ready faster and woth less ressoyrces than asking for a blacksmith to make something equivalent. That way the blacksmith can focus on doing things that are actually necessary.
@@zedtheexplorer5206 especially if you get a solid pattern to cut the tires into where it has overlapping plates and is more form fitting nothings getting through besides guns
I have got to say, I did not expect the shadiversity content to improve as much as it has, this is incredible.
Agreed, Nate and Tyranth are really doing a great job.
Yea, this new line-up is really entertaining and watchable, having diferent people makes it easier on the attention span tbh (for me atleast)
The best part about this is you can just keep some tires around and no one would ever suspect they are materials to make some armor in an apocalyptic scenario.
Make the armor now. Or just get Kevlar now; then you're already prepared.
@@jackson102881 kevlar is pretty bad timewise, you need to avoid sunlight as much as possible. Cause light degrade it relatively fast.
or just have armor *now*. That tire sure as hell isn't bulletproof either
@@Fantastic_Mr_Fox You would be surprised how resistant tires are to bullets. In my experience, soft nosed and hollow points have poor penetration, but full metal jacket goes right through.
@@jacquesstrapp3219 well, that's better than I would have thought. Not much, but still smth. I'm assuming you mean 9mm?
A lot of people think tires are just thick rubber, but it's actually pretty hardcore material. Why, it's almost as if they're specifically designed and engineered to mitigate this kind of damage.
While tires are extremely durable, as intended, by design; they used common tires. Tires that have special speed ratings, are designed for off-road usage and racing tires are on completely different levels. Many specialty designs are actually kevlar impregnated for the purpose of preventing penetration.
@@CP_BlessedDad don't put the words "impregnated" and "preventing penetration" in the same sentence 😭

@@seanmurphy6480as long as no one in the apocalypse has a fully functional flamethrower or affective way to set u on fire u should be fine. And besides ide be more worried to be the flamer dude since the tanks on flamethrowers are highly explosive and can get sniped from afar, meaning you and who's ever next to you would pretty much explode and die.
I’ve found a few 38 and 9mm rounds embedded in junk tires out in the desert. Tire armor is definitely a winning idea. If you really went crazy with design so you could add a hardened layer behind at least for your center mass, my guess is that someone could empty an AK into your chest and you’d still be able to cough out “got you last” with your final breath.
A soft fabric over the skin, some street signs over your vitals, and then the tire armor.
I would wager a guess that it would be fairly hot and heavy, but I would also bet you could survive _most_ low to mid tier weapons. Knives, axes, swords, and some low caliber shots. But you definitely wouldn't be bulletproof. Everything would transfer to kinetic force in some way, you'd likely get a lot of bruising and some internal damage
As an occasional dungeon master for my friends I am going to bump the effectiveness of tire armor in my post apocalyptic campaigns now. At least for melee damage
Makes perfect sense
Melee and low-velocity projectiles alike.
For future reference, an abrasive metal cutting wheel is what you should use for tires rather than a sabre saw.
yeah, they need a grinder.
I'd imagine you'd need to be very careful with what kind of grinder disk you use, as they tend to explode if used on a material they aren't meant to cut.
My first Idea was a water saw, however, I do not know how expensive they are.
He needs to contact that guy who built a real lightsaber. Right tool for the right job.
@@barryon8706 I do not think heat is a good tool to cut a tire, it will create smoldering rubber and burning fragments, weakening it. That is the reasin why I think a water saw would be good. Every grinding disk will heat up and cause damage to the tires.
The rubber itself binds on any blades, which slows things down and adsorbs enough energy to make the steel wires harder to penatrate than just cutting the steel. The rubber would also help reduce the severity of blunt force attacks.
It also dulls the blade. So if it does get through its lost striking power from the rubber and has been dulled by the steel. So all you need is a way to work it and your set. Maybe build a cutting torch using a propane tank and a gas hose. They are built to last so they would still be around.
Hit with hammer, mace, or fire, noted
@@argiedude3762 Fire would eventually work, but tires are kinda resistant to all 3 of those things.
Something blunt but with a tapered pointy end to stab through seems to do the trick. I imagine a war pick would be a nightmare for this kind of protection because it could rip chunks or the entire thing off the wearer.
A mace or a flail could still do the trick since the rubber may not break but the skin and bones under it will, if the hit was hard enough.
In terms of fire, I reckon prolonged exposure to intense temperatures would be to the detriment of the armor too. Rubber under a hot sun won't do the wearer any favors nor would the cold be as forgiving.
@@AxleTrade honestly tires would still be pretty tough when dealing with something like that.
I actually tried making my own tire armor a few years back and just like you guys say, its tough stuff. I couldn't even get through the treads with bolt cuttersand had to use a hacksaw, which only did the job through monumental effort. And yeah, it's not bulletproof, but against literally any other weapon it's nearly indestructible. A lorica made using tires would be really cool to see.
I think if you have access to a water jet cutter, that would do it. atleast if someone wants to make some non slap dash armor at some point
I feel like some of this stuff over top of a ballistic plate would do the job, since it's essentially it's own spalding protection by virtue of being rubber and having a steel mesh in there to fragment bullets. Ballistic plates are already obscenely good at level III, especially AR500 steel, and level IV (or Russian level 6) plates with tire material over it would largely negate any high power rifle calibers - as far as physical penetration goes. The problem with even those higher tier body armors is the same problem which applies to gambeson and chain mail, which is energy transfer. You might stop the projectile, but you might still die due to blunt trauma.
They have steel cables in them, makes sense you'd need a hacksaw.
I had tremendous success with 18inch bolt cutters, I just had difficulty holding the tire in place while I lined up the cut. I wasn't working on a project, I was just cutting them up for storage, but if I clamped it down on a workbench that would have solved most my issues.
In fact, the tire can withstand bullets like a bulletproof vest of the first or second class.
Whoever thinks 100% electrical damage resistance isn't overpowered in 2023 is living in the past smh
Actually, really good point.
On top of taser resistance/immunity, there are probably some engineer people out there capable of making dead rising electric weapons.
Well am wheeling to give that armor a try if am going to a teaser fight
Yeah, it’s great for gazers, but it’s not overpowered. Guns are still the highest power of 2023, not to mention, most common.
@@ilikefire9710so if i travel to the past i should take a tire armor with me?
@@ilikefire9710 In a post apocalyptic setting, you'd quickly run out of bullets. Also, most people don't have guns, so in most places of the world, you wouldn't really have to worry about guns and bullets all that much to begin with.
I would love to see you actually make a full proper armor set from this
Me too... I've been looking for something like that a good while back but no luck...
There's just one small problem I remember... tires STINK!!! And I mean as in smell bad!
I recommend using an angle grinder to cut the tires.
Would japanese plate armor designs work better? What if they sealed it in some sort of epoxy for the smell?
@@mariobenedicto3582 i think most would get used to it. Mail armor has an odor but that didnt deter its use
That would be awesome
I used to work in tire installation and that steel belt is no joke. Shredded my hands a number of times on blown out and very worn tires. Awesome episode. Rock on, guys!
I grew up on a cattle ranch in America, and we used old tires to build fences. After decades of wear (cattle rubbing on them, being out in the weather 24 hours a day, etc) they looked virtually unchanged. Wooden fences would have collapsed long before. Modern tires are very tough, and this was a cool demonstration of that fact.
Rubber comes from trees -- so a tire fence is possibly still a 'wooden fence' ;)
Not nearly as intensive as livestock rubbing against it but my old elementary school had a long line of half buried tires to jump and play on. They were there before I went to school and 20 years later they are still there in relatively the same condition
I find this video particularly interesting because in the movie 'demolition man' (which is actually pretty old already) they showed a dystopian future where the poor people had to protect themselves from the kinds of weapons you showed in this video and so they actually wore tire armor. That is why it was interesting to see this armor in a test and this choice was actually pretty good for the movie in terms of realism.
PVC armour makes me think of home depot storm troopers
That's a fun movie. Total camp, and fun.
They also did it some times in Mad Max.
Speaking of armor, funnily enough modern Kevlar actually isn’t that great at stopping blades because the sharp pointing metal can slip between the fibers that are designed to catch bullets. A lot of bulletproof vests designed to also stop stabbings use other materials as well.
EDIT: You need to somehow contact Demolition Ranch and have him test out tire armor against bullets. lol
this remindme a image that circulated internet last year of a police group trying to stop a guy who was armed with a machete and even when they ahve ballistic shields and bulletprof gear they dont come nesar him... in fct they send a police covered in Chainmal to get him. chain gloves an even the chain cover in the head and neck. it was so weird cause u asume the bulletproff gear should be good enough to defend against baldes
YES!
Piercing is hard to stop you basically need hardened plates for that. Hardened plates suck at catching high velocity bullets though. It's all give and take
Maybe if you did multiple layers and maybe a layer or two of kevlar
@@goreobsessed2308 Yeah, that’s why plate carriers have Kevlar backing behind the ceramic plates. The plates break up and slow down the bullet into smaller, lower velocity pieces, and the Kevlar catches the fragments so they don’t enter vital, squishy areas.
If you revisit this I suggest using an angle grinder with a steel cutting disc. It will be a lot faster to cut the steel wire than the rip saw but very smokey.(might want to go all out with ppe)
If you cut them into smaller plates and overlap them you'll basically have modernised samurai armour.
Lapping will increase weight but smaller plates will help with weight distribution and reduce the stiffness problem.
A co-worker of mine tested that out, and the tyre ate up the grinder's cutting disc as soon as you went into the thread... I think that the embedment of the wire layers make them swing instead of cut through, and so they eat away the material instead. you'd have better success with a tin scissors and a strong hand; it is how they cut tyres up to make sandals soles out of in africa, actually.
@@lotharrenz4621 if you plunge cut the blade will be eaten but take it slow going back and forth across the length of the cut and you should get a few cuts per blade.
@@jmulchrone1 That could work. I also realized tonight while sleeping, that I assumed you had mentioned the standard cutting blade made of fibres. Instead you meant a solid steel disc with diamonds on it, right? That would last considerably longer of course, as the steel fibres would dig into the fibres of the standard cutting disc. You can watch it go down like butter, really.
So, yes. Your method would work way better.
I’d love to see the aluminum alloy street signs are made of tested. I’ve made some apocalyptic armor out of it, and it seems remarkably tough for its weight
I'd say combine that with alloy with the tire armor in a layered fashion, tire, metal, then a diy gambeson. Got you some pretty effective armor right there. Won't stop a gunshot at least not without ceramic or using a decent plate of steel instead of aluminum. Maybe just use kevlar for the gambeson.
itd stop slashes and cuts but a stab would get through, but would definitely be mitigated to a large degree.
@@GameHoardGame when I was younger I had a street sign and a T-post that I had used an angle grinder to put a relatively long and narrow point on. I did some (very unprofessional) tests with that, and it actually stopped most of the penetration. But the weapon I was using was very crude, so I have no idea what something like a war pick would do
@@mr.tiddles556 if your relying on armor that is crude itd be a post-apoc scenario, and you would face a lot of crude weapons. Being able to stop slingshot/sling bullets would be important and a sign would do that. stopping the effects of simple clubs made from wood would be important as well. in the post apoc not everyone will suddenly have swords. Hell the rungs of a chair tapped to the outer parts of your arms is decent enough against slashes and impact.
Fascinating, combined with some padding, this is some seriously effective armor!
to add to the post apocalyptic theme, just tuck a pillow behind it and boom, padding.
One of the crew should wear that armor then test how good it is at stopping blunt force trauma. Start with light blows using a murder stroke from a sword, gradually hitting harder and harder. If nothing is really felt from the sword, then move up to harder hitting things like maces and bats to see how the armor stands up to those.
@@Riceball01 the tests were to see the effectiveness of blocking fatal cutting and piercing strikes. Even modern armor doesn't work well against raw kinetic energy. High end Kevlar body armor can stop a 4bore rifle round, but the kinetic energy from the hit will still be fatal even if the round doesn't penetrate.
@@SolarinDay I understand it, but they did briefly test the tire armor against a murder stroke. Not to mention that tire armor is far more rigid than Kevlar is and so will react completely differently to blunt force trauma/impact than Kevlar does. Kevlar is really nothing more than layers of a sophisticated fabric layered together with the weave running different directions from each other in each layer. Because it's a textile material, it's soft and that's why you feel the impact of a bullet hitting it even when the bullet doesn't penetrate. A tire is different, it's rubber and thus it's rigid, albeit with a bit of give, at the same time, it also causes objects to bounce off of it thus negating some of the kinetic energy by directing some of it outwards. So it's going to act like a cross between metal armor and fabric armor with some of its own properties and testing it on an actual person wearing it would be the only real way of testing how effective it would be against blunt force without resorting to expensive sensors.
Particularly if it is built with some overlap to avoid the easy gaps.
6:56 That was actually such a WONDERFUL shot!
If that wasn't on purpose, at least tell everyone it was totally on purpose.
Got the dummy right between the armor and right in, I think, the Liver. Probably a killshot even if it wasn't the liver just because this is the dirty apocalyse and infection is a concern again.
I saw that happening even before that shot happened and thought of this.
There are motorcycle tires as well that are just as tough.
Cut it in to smaller lengths and turn it the opposite way as a cap for the inside lips of the larger tire pieces.
Kind of like using a C to hold together a UU so the it caps it off.
I think i am going to make a set of this type armor and start experimenting.
Certainly good option if you are trying to build an army as a post-apocalyptic warlord on a tight budget. Tires are ubiquitous and as an added bonus when done right the armor will look menacing.
The wire is called "belting" and is woven. Additionally, it's usually layered with woven nylon. Durable and flexible, while resistant to heat and friction.
I'll be darned. The "Tire Armor" gimmick actually has functionality.😳🤯
I use to work at a auto shop and the amount of people that actually came into the shop and thought tires were just rubber simply amazed me.... they had no idea their is a metal belt in there
They never heard someone say they had ran their tires down to the wire?
And the silent armors even had a belt of Kevlar in them. I'd say great for slash protection and some pierce, but no firearms.

I love how enthusiastic and excited you get it is a genuinely good idea tyre rubber i would never of thought of it
This episode reminded me of Mythbusters when they did the paper samurai armor.
A thin but layered rubber suit of armor would be so rad, so long as nobody has any blunt pointy bits on sticks laying around.
It also contains some steel plates, depending on tire
No matter what you say, that spike wouldn't do all that much piercing damage. It did not go deep enough to kill, that's for sure, especially when the armor in front is not actually touching the body, not even near it. By the time it would get to it, much of the force would be lost.
This armor proved to be more effective against ALL of these weapons than most regular armors meant to stop said weapons. And its rubber...Attacking it with the likes of swords could seriously have the swordsman hurt with the vibrations going back, maybe even attack bouncing off somewhat in an unfortunate way.
@@kikixchannel It may not go deep enough to kill, but it did go deep enough to wound, and cause actual damage to deeper tissue, which can inhibit your ability to fight, which can then get you killed.
Course, that is only a 2 ply light car tire. Some tires may have 3 plies, or even more. Heavy truck tires definitely have more, and the rubber itself is harder. Light Truck tires likely will have 3 or more plies, but also All Terrain, or Mud Terrain tires might have reinforced sidewalls with Kevlar or other materials thigh might work for more flexible areas.
To be honest, look for heavy load rating, high endurance (long life) tires for the most resilient tires, or ones with anti-puncture technology.
@@dposcuro I do not really agree with you. For it to cause actual damage to deeper tissue it would need to have enough energy left after piercing. Part of that energy was transferred to the 'armor' simply for the sake of pushing it closer to the body (again, it is quite stiff and it is supported on the sides of the body, since it IS a tire, and not a flat panel). Part of it is obviously going into the piercing force.
Then it will hit whatever you may have underneath and also your ribs.
Does it have potential to affect your fighting ability? Certainly. There is no need to even pierce an armor. Blunt weapons are absolutely meant to affect your fighting ability even without piercing the armor itself. All depends on how much energy is transferred to the body.
However, while I do not say that it does NOT have that ability, I am saying that the length that the spike pierced shows only a potential of doing that, not a certainty or even a very high chance. There would need to be something on the other side that would show the passage of force and potentially the depth that the spike could pierce something underneath, but unless a hole was cut into Buster...putting a slab of meat or whatever there would give false results (as it would be closer to the armor than actual wearer would).
the axe spike went in deep enough to hurt. Hard to tell from our perspective as viewers, but i would say it drew blood, any wound is a thing to be avoided. They distract you, slow you down, and weaken you....also shock from even a minor injury is a factor.
Use LT rated tires. They come with extra steel belts due to the increased load capacity plus those types of tires will have deeper tread as well.
Yes, LT and some 4wd tires.
Sounds way too heavy.
@@inthefade yeah sounds like the rubber doesn't do much, but keeps the wires from moving out of the way
Rubber works well against blunt object
@@inthefade
You see those trucks on road? They wear the tyres out to the last of tread (legally). Once the tyres got off, they are pretty flat, so weight is not that much of problem. The extra steels may add a little bit, but considering the weight of normal tyres, I don't think that will be an issue either.
Yes.
Didnt realy need a video to tell me that, but it was a fun watch :) Shad and&co's banter is gold!
I've always wondered how well tires can be used as armor in any sort of apocalypse. Now I wish I could play as a Super Mutant in a future fallout game
I love how Shad takes his shots and goes right through the weak spots lol! He has some scary aim apparently.
Who would've thought that something that has to carry tons of car, at high speed, over long distances, would be tough.
ikr. Our lives are literally being carried on something for thousands of miles of usage. Can't be too wrong with 'overengineering' the tire part. lol. Definitely would want to make my own cool end times armor! 😁
Plus it is RUBBER. it is literally made to absorb impact and redirect force.
Wow, it held up a whole lot better than I thought.
Also LOVED the fire sword video! 😁⚔️
Another good improv armor material is a ream of printer paper with a stone tile on the front, all wrapped in duct tape. A couple reams of paper will block any pistol bullet.
Maybe this would be a good shield to carry with your tire armor.
0:18 I was exactly like shad when I was younger. I was hoping for the zombie apocalypse so bad it sounded so fun!
And maybe I’m still a little excited for it. 😂
My friends and I roleplayed it so often haha. I miss those days roaming the streets with our stick guns.
With firearms I’ll point out that larger calibers, particularly in pistol ammunition do not necessarily have greater penetration. A .45 caliber round has more knock down power and will cause greater wounds than a 9mm however the higher muzzle velocity of the latter would almost certainly result in higher degrees of penetration. Rifle ammunition is similar in many ways but the sheer power of the bullet weight combined with how much gunpowder is used does lend a certain amount of certainty that larger calibers will be more effective.
.45 DOES have slightly better pen than 9mm, tho.
Slower muzzle velocity by far, I own both
@@robertross5201 and I have watched videos of people who does test seriously with high speed camera. And they don't only do 45 and 9.

I am 100% integrating this knowledge into my post-apocalyptic TTRPG campaign
Your videos are so good! The intro montage is so cool! Its an absolute crime that you guys don't get more views!
The "opening cinematic"/title intro is top tier and a great change!
Before the video starts, I'm gonna say that tire armor would work. It's like leather but better.
Years ago we sent bullets downrange at a black object, 338 and down. When we were done we walked over to it. Not a hole in it, it was a semi airbag, it stopped every bullet and no damaged to the metal
This new series is so good! Loving the intro
Loved Shad's shot that went into the gap of the armor. Nice shot!
Just an FYI, there are multiple layers of steel “ply’s” in the crown (top or where the tread is). It’s supposed to be resistant to puncture even more so when you get to industrial tires that’s when the standard number of Ply is doubled to triple due to amount of abuse it takes while on the job but not recommend for makeshift armor due to how heavy and annoying it is to cut (from personal experience). Also Tyranth the ring is called the “bead”.
This means the Michelin man is invincible
Then his final is the Staypuff marshmallow man
Molotovs.
He's a rubber golem, a modern unstoppable monster
It makes sense. Tires are made to resist punctures under tons of force. The one thing I would say is it doesn’t deflect attacks very well.
Fantastic vid! love it! gonna go "mad max" myself a set xD
Makes me wonder if a steel wire + Gambeson combo could result in a lighter weight, but extremely effective composite stab-proof type armour. Would likely be slightly heavier than Gambeson, but could potentially match high quality chain mail. To go further perhaps silk + steel wire to reduce weight even more, but combine the silk and steel properties. Interesting stuff guys, love it!
But how would you keep the wires in place firmly enough that a blade wouldn't just shove them aside?
@@Devin_Stromgren would have to glue them with something and laminate multiple layers so they form a lattice much like a lot of carbon fibre is formed. I mean i'm no expert on rubber but could use that as the glue since it's so effective. Basically a thinner tire that has an extra layer of steel, sandwiched between a few layers of silk. In theory the silk would be extremely resistant to piercing, combined with the rubber behind and the steel i would imagine a high level of effectiveness.
Sounds like a corset.

Gentlemen, that intro is stupendous. I mean we're talking the thrill and excitement summoned by the better adverts for multimillion dollar theatrical releases. Someone has been done serious work. You all are awesome. I'm sure the rest of the video will also be great.
Shad, I'm so happy that you've found yourself two more turbonerds
Shad, that opening... *Chefs kiss*
It doesn't get much better than that. Truly fantastic!
I swear each video becomes ever more like a dnd campaign, and I am all for it!
Love the hilarious skits and the new creativity of his channel. The idea on tire armor really makes sense.
Shad should do a side quest to manufacture a full body armor suit out of bullet-proof military Humvee tires (mold it into kind of a scuba diver wet suit that you can easily zip into), then layer it fire-proofing material...
...and you will get the ultimate fire-proof, water-proof, cut-proof and bullet-proof suit that will be relatively light weight (compared to plate armor) and yet its highly flexible too.
I think all of Shad's fans will buy them without second thought. Lol.
It actually was really interesting video for me! I tried to do armour from tire by myself and it was tough but it worked. ❤
I can’t put into words how awesome and epic this intro is 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The shot at 6:53 that goes in between the two tires is the dictionary definition of a critical hit.
Yup, liver or kidney shot, they'd be done
Thanks for testing! I use a used tire for stick practice, and had similar damage to my sword when I used the tire for practice cuts.
Wow, these videos are great.
You guys are on a... roll.
I've seen full on late medieval plate armour made out of car tyres before.
I approve. Ive made several tire armors, just for deco tho. A fully functional tire armor has been on the ever growing idea list... Maybe it's time for that!
This is fantastic! I'd love to see a steel-belted radial version of a Wisby armor. Use a Kevlar gambeson and you are melee and bullet proof!
I genuinely feel like I'm watching medieval top gear/grand tour whith these three. They have incredible chemistry and it shows in the quality of the content
They've been cooking up ideas worthy of a Michelin Star . And the talk of the flaming sword video makes me wonder if they will make something with a Firestone.
Armors made from Tires? This should have been the Road Warrior Episode! Have they guy get Mohawk, Leather, and wear Football Pad. Then end with you guys running into the Castle because Lord Humongus showed up demanding Gas.
Never get tired of making such quality videos
As soon as Nate said, "cats and dogs are living together," I was immediately reminded of that Bill Murray quote from Ghostbusters.
Yes! I've been commenting on videos about fantasy armor about how they should test fallout/mad max tire armor. Oddly enough I don't think I ever did it on a Shad video, but definitely on Metatron and skall
Comet with two tails? SIGMAR BLESS THIS RAVAGED BODEH.
had this idea for AGES. glad to see it being tested
God, I love this channel!
A cool idea to test, is if you mold rubber across a set of chainmail, how strong that'd be.
Just use flex seal
@jonathangrey2183 I think they tried that, on shields at least
intro keeps geting beter and better
The vulnerability of tyre armour is definitely its gaps and piercing damage. The other nice thing about rubber is that it closes back up somewhat, even if it doesn't really self heal.
For cutting, I recommend shears rather than saws.
A pair of bold cutters would do wonders.
@@spoonsareoccasionallymadeo5728 Definitely better than timid cutters. 😜
@@theinacircleoftheancientpu492 Best spelling mistake of my life.
Wow!
Far better than expected!
I thought the pike on the axe would do it and it did.
But seemingly just barely.
I wish I could see it tested with guns now though I realise that some other channel would probably need to do that.
