One thing I thought of doing for my own performances: talk about how a voodoo doll has four limbs, and that for the voodoo card, the equivalent is the four corners; this similarity (a little forced, but given the situation I think most people would readily agree) gives a justification for ripping a corner off rather than say, ripping it in half or something like that. Ripping the arm off a voodoo doll sounds like a perfectly normal thing to do to a voodoo doll, you know?
The reason why I thought of doing this is because during the performance, the only thing I perceived as "off" was ripping a neat little piece off from the corner. But, that might've been influenced by me knowing Blake Vogt's TnR.

Anthony Orosco .... uh the good shit never starts. It's literally a riffle force and an add on from the bottom. Then awkwardly covering the ripped card with your thumb while they sign. Add in the long drawn out boring acting and then the disaster is finally over.
The funniest part is the description talking about GIVING HIM MONEY for the easy ass method and subtleties. Pay no mind to all the magic he gives away and reveals, that isn't his to do so with, and give him cash for his garbage and be sure not to reveal it!

Hey Chris, I've been doing magic my whole life on and off. I just bought your Voodoo card trick tonight, excited to learn it. Anyhow, my best memories were performing tricks for my mom growing up and as an adult, I still would do tricks for her... sadly she passed 2 years ago from cancer. She never asked how my tricks were done except for one that really freaked her out (stigmata). Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks for keeping magic alive and fun. Ok couple of things.
1. I love your work and watch your videos for over a year.
2. Gernerally i like the Effect and from what i can figure it's a great and easy method too.
3. I Love the fact that you chose a non edited performance as trailer and not some cut up dubstep stuff with people jumping of brides because the effect is just too damn good.
4. But i have to be honest with you and i don't think it was super smart to chose an actress for the trailer. I do not think that she was a plant per se, but you know how some people are. It might effect your sales actually.
5. Like i said i do not think she was a plant but she "freely" chose to burn the card, with a lighter already on the table at the start of the routine. If in a different performance setting someone would not mention burning the card, would you bring it up?
Not only that but she said she wanted to burn it but he kept pressing her for another destruction method until she said to rip it. It felt awkward.
I think the lighter there is meant to play with your mind so you choose to burn it, those small details are the ones that make the mentalism tricks to work, I actually think burning it and ripping it are essential parts for the trick since you can see the other card is not only ripped but burned in the bottom side too

I must say... I have really loved your channel and really enjoyed watching it grow like it has. But I sort of have an issue with this video. Not because you are selling an effect. I love that you are selling an effect actually. My issue, though is that you do not help sell other effects in the way that you are selling your own. You have spent hours upon hours making videos that reveal countless other effects in the magic/sleight of hand/cardistry world, and have never referred to anything you've willingly revealed as "so powerful that it can't be in a youtube video". I'm not discrediting the power of your effect at all; however, it does really feel like you've severely undervalued the countless extremely powerful effects and techniques of other magicians that you have freely revealed in your videos. I hope that maybe you understand the perspective that I'm taking and possibly be a bit more considerate in future videos.
