I would have gone with a weld-on 3-bolt mounting flange. Those old-time exhaust spigots are archaic and the headers always seem to work their way loose. Installing a clamp somewhere on the frame downtube or elsewhere looks bogus. STD had the right idea when they built aftermarket heads which featured 3-bolt exhaust mounting flanges and Shovelhead intakes. Just some thoughts. You did a fantastic job on that clapped out Panhead cylinder head. Keep up the great work!
