Medical student here: pregnant women's nose get wider because their cartilage becomes softer and more flexible during pregnancy- it helps the pelvic area stretch more to accommodate the growing womb + childbrith, but the external nose is also made primarily of cartilage, so the nose can stretch as well. ALSO pregnant women retain more fluid, and that can cause the overall swelling in the face and body.

@@keeyajavan Yeah, as the hormones normalize, so should the nose. It can be that extreme, but I also feel like they're using filters in the "before" photos to make their noses look smaller, so it makes the "after" look sore ridiculous lol

Not only did my nose spread but I turned at least 3 shades darker and my feet grew 3 sizes. All due to extra production of hormones 😩😩😩. FYI everything was back to normal within 3 months post delivery

blood vessels throughout the face dilate (become wider) due to hormonal influx (more hormones than usual). the nose then retains more fluid than usual, causing it to become inflamed (swollen).

Oxytocin has 2 main functions, which are :
1- increasing the uterus contraction and cervix dilation during labor to speed up the process.
2- the release of breastmilk( not the formation of milk that's another enzyme called prolactin)
While vasopressin is another enzyme also called anti diuretic hormone and it functions in the resorption of water and electrolytes from urine, essential decrease urination. Neither are related to love, Oxytocin is related to mother and child relation but not "love".
