That music box is incredible 😂 i always get so jealous that creators get sent so much cool film/media stuff.
I'm happy that this movie is a simple, fun horror/slasher movie because sometimes we just need some dumb fun vampire movies

FUN FACT: Abigail is based on and a reimagining of the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters film Dracula's Daughter which I think is a cool concept and brilliant under the Universal brand.

The music that plays throughout the movie is the very same theme from the original 1931 Dracula film, too. I thought it was amazing they added that as tribute.
Can we say April just delivered one of the best months for horror ever on the silver screen! Hands down!

@DajourTaylor I thought it was amazing for so many reasons on the filmmaking scene. I was much more brilliant than the horrors in the genre that have been releasing lately, anything from Blumhouse has been a complete dumpster fire lately.
Evil Dead which came not to long ago wasn't great, it was ridiculous and I couldn't give shit about any of the characters except for the pregnant sister. Though I did like immaculate and now abigail was pretty good
I’m literally about to watch this movie in 15 mins and I’m excited to see it cause people like Cody Leach saying it was his favorite movie at the film festival he went to and it’s the best vampire movie in years. I’m not big on famous movie monster type horror but that did make me interested. The movie was awesome I loved it best horror movie of the year. Feels so good to have constant bangers coming out now.

A theater near my work had some early screenings and I was able to catch the last one after I got off work. I personally loved this movie. Not only because it’s everything you could want from a fun vampire movie. But, also because it introduced me to one of my new favorite songs. It played during the closing credits and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since.
Your experience reminds me of the ending credits of the invitation movie. Never heard of the artist til that day. Song is called Mr. Badman. artist is cruel youth.
I’m so hyped for Abigail it looks like a fun bloody time and I love the cast for this movie especially Kevin Durand (who’s imo one of the most underrated actors) & Melissa Barrera (I’m definitely watching this movie after how dirty spyglass did her).

Once I heard of a vampire ballerina I thought it wouldn’t work but the trailer and this great review it changed my mind ima check it out
This movie for me was a 4.0 out of 5 only complaints was the fact I wasn’t super invested into the characters outside the final girl but the make up for it is how many twists and turns happened that kept me invested into what I was seeing next GREAT HORROR/Comedy
I also hate to say it cause a large part of me doesn’t feel this way but had they not revealed her as the killer BOY OH BOY we would’ve went for a ride
Ever since The Guest I was rooting for Dan Stevens it's cool that it seems like this is his year!

I believe it's a setup that Abigail made to recruit Joey as her next Vampire guardian, as Lambert was tired of being an immortal and wanted to retire. So everything was setup this way to introduce to Joey what a true vampire is, and that they also keep their word. Vampires are old people who values loyalty and honor even when they are brutal, this is what they seek for a companion, it is hard to find. Even tho they have all the money and power, loyalty cannot be bought. So Abigail keeps looking for someone who is an overcomer like Joey, someone who keeps their word, and because she had a history of overcoming addiction she is unique and can't be glamoured or controlled by any vampire. She is of great value to the child vampire and is specifically chosen for this test because of her profile, a nurturing mother, an ex-addict, overcoming obstacles to go back to her child. She is exactly as Abigail wants as a pseudo mother. I think Abigail set this whole thing up as she is a master of deceit, she was never in danger to begin with. A very old vampire like that survived that long for their cunning and not merely for their power. If they are ever making a 2nd movie this is how I see this whole thing... Just a thought. I could be wrong.

A group of semi-criminals kidnap a 12 yr old girl so they can earn their fortune until they discover the girl is a VAMPIRE! I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE IT

I just saw Abagail this evening. I’m right there with you. There isn’t much to complain. The kills were great. The gore was great. And it was a good and unique story. B+ in my book

I LOVED THIS MOVIE! It actually reminded me of the atmospheric vibes of a very little known 1997 film adaptation of one of Stephen King's short stories from his anthology book 'Nightmares & Dreamscapes'. The film is 'The Night Flier'. It stars Miguel Ferrer and it's available for free on CZcams in full.

You hands down favor, sweet coat Melissa Barrera. She did an OK job, fair at best. The show stopper definitely was Alisha Weir as Abigail. The producer said in an online interview that he drew upon Lost Boys and Fright Night to make this 1, after watching it 4 times on the IMAX on Friday, I definitely see it. Theater was empty each time and sure hope it does not tank. I wonder if Chris say an interview yesterday with his fave talking about an Abigail 2. 5 starts out of 5. 2ND Best horror movie this yr in my option. Outstanding Review
