When Jerry says that Billy's music has been like our best friend throughout our lives I really believe he's not using hyperbole or exaggeration. I really connected with that.
I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Billy Joel's music let's me into his world, NYC, Long Island. I can feel it all the way over here. Great songwriters do that. Lennon and McCartney let a kid in the New Mexico desert know what Liverpool and London feel like.
If you really want to experience Long Island, sit in your car and put it in park. That will feel like the Long Island Expressway lol. Love the comment.
Watching from Rhode Island-Jerry we all feel the same in our tiny state-Billy-the blue-collar Beethoven-Jerry is the Billy of comedy-and Billy is Jerry of music and song-much peace and appreciation to you both.
I'm from North Massapequa, Jerry is from Massapequa. Jerry sums up my feelings too. I worked briefly at Levittown high school where Billy attended. A lot of Billy's songs are about places I've been to or hung around in my youth. So proud of Billy, who legitimized my entire childhood. Amazing talent and so relatable regardless of where you come from.
Ditto. I grew up in Massapequa Park and get chills every time Billy sings, "from a town known as Oyster Bay, Long Island," "cruising the Miracle Mile" or "don't care if it's Chinatown or Oceanside.."
I'm from Tijuana and Billy Joel's music has been one of my best friends growing up. Everytime I go to NYC I feel at home. Thanks. Seinfeld looks amazing, what is he, 68?
@@MrPattermike2 Phone rings, Jerry answers…. Elaine: Who was that? Jerry: it was Keith Elaine: what did he want? Jerry: he wants me to help him move! Elaine: move what? Jerry: FURNITURE!!! …… I don’t want to do that! That’s a big step in a relationship! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
CBS really dropped the ball on multiple fronts for the televised concert. Started late, less than 1.5 hours, so many songs missing, and it cut out for a commercial on Piano Man. I loved what I saw, but it was much too short and poorly executed.
easy Jerry, you and Larry would be nobody if it wasn't for Richards and Alexander... the 2 btw aren't credited as much as you cuz the pubblic is stupid and you're taking advantage of that
Not really. They were the writers and the creators of the show. Richard’s was based on Larry David’s neighbour/friend irl, So credit goes to them for seeing the talent in the rest of the cast.
Nope. Billy is big in Long Island, but the rest of the country has been lukewarm on Billy for the last 30 years. This is just a hometown-boy thing. NYC thinks it is the center of the universe. It ain't. It hasn't been great since Willie Mays went west in 1958. NYC peaked with the old Candid Camera from the 1950s. NYC has been a pit for the last 60 years. NYC peaked when TV was still in black & white, i.e., The Honeymooners.

What an awesome presentation, of 2 living legends from our beloved NY!! Live long & prosper
What a treat. Two great talents on one stage.
Two of my very favorite entertainers.

I'm not from NY, and still feel what Jerry means by "his music is our best friend". The whole north-east feels it, plus many more I'm sure
I’m from California and I feel it!
@@dfromcoolIndeed. We do!
His music is all-important to me! ❤ I’m from Erie, PA. Loved listening to him for years! Every day I need to experience Billy’s talents! ❤

This was nice to see. They’ve been friends for years. Thanks for posting this
Billy is looking like Mike from breaking bad
Not just back East, I'm in Utah and I've been rolling with Billy since the mid 70s.
This was cool to watch.
Thanks for posting.
Very nice speech.
He was a companion in my life. Sydney must be like Long Island in some respects, I would like to think. Legendry Soul Man.

That's his new head of hair giving you that impression.

BILLY MUSIC I GROW UP FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO UNI GRADS
Jerry bought Billy’s house on Long Island
New hair on Jerry.
Plugged up that bald spot lol
I was thinking that 😀 It suits him
Not new. He’s just had it cut short in the past and grew it back out for that Pop Tarts movie he just finished.
Peace Love Cool
Jerry's hair is back baby. Just like New York! What's the deal with that?
He had it cut short in the past. He grew it back out for that Pop Tart movie he did.
New jacket
Oy!!
Didn't I tell you, Now what you're going to do. You're going start driving him to the airport.
“I’m NOT driving him to the airport!!”
You gonna help him move?

Sounds like it will be?
Steinfeld?😂😂
So Hartford isn't the place he's played the most anymore? 😅
Am I crazy, or did Joel introduce Jerry as Jerry Steinfeld? They must be close.

The Long Island “elite”
What the deal with hair transplants?
Looks like Seinfeld has had a hair transplant! Not everybody is brave like Larry David; or, transplant wasn't this good at his time...
A sport jacket with blue jeans is questionable. But a suit jacket with blue jeans? Did the airline lose his luggage?
Looks cool!
Senifeld is a azzhole and not even close to being funny nvr did like him at all
That’s a look from the 80s he never left behind. Dad style
