The boer voortrekker made deals with some of the tribes they came across for land, like the Khoi, which is very well documented and also claimed large pieces of empty land. The boers started building South Africa 160 years before the bantu started moving in because of the prospects of finding jobs and making a living. The boers turned it from an environmentally hostile bush into a very properous country. None of the infrastructure and institutions you see that has been built in South Africa can be accredited to the Bantu, accept the labour they gave for which they earned salaries. Every institution and much of the infrastructure has been falling apart since the ANC took over in 1994. The boer did not want to hand over their country even then and for good reason. They are not acknowledged by the ANC and everything they worked so hard for and built up is gradually being destroyed. Now I ask you. Do you want to live here under these conditions with the fear that you may be murdered, robbed, or raped at any moment? Or would you want to live in a safe environment where everyone is peaceful and your children can at least walk to a shop nearby without being attacked?
