Thanks for the effort of bringing the best of the best together! However, I expected a bit more from this video - it would have been cool to get some analysis, take-aways, anything, all things that I'm used for from the other CZcamsrs I follow regularly.

I'm waiting for the price to come down and the cameras to be the same level as the other flagships and my next phone might actually be a Z Fold.

Mostly iPhones and Galaxies as expected, but I'm glad to see more people using Pixels this year. I predicted that Marques would be one of them.
For Samsung it’s only the flips and folds though But I can’t wait for Apple to release their flip/fold phones

I Justine totally surprised me. The rest were pretty predictable. As an iphone user I often feel too restricted . Id say you need the two ecosystems. The best daily driver if you love to tweak and explore is an android, preferably a pixel or Samsung flagship
mhm! im mainly apple but for phones i have both, and for pc i just uze my mums lol
I hate being on my phone. I'm still rocking an iPhone XR and before it, I was using a 6S. Everyone always brings up the crap about how locked down IOS is but, I use my phone for texting and from time to time phone calls, and CZcams sometimes when in bed. I don't need or care for any of the other stuff. I may upgrade when the iPhone 14 comes out or I may fix the back glass of my XR while also changing the battery. The back glass is cracked in one of the corners but I keep a case on it so overall It doesn't bother me.
Agreed. I keep going back and forth between iOS & Android, and I'm beginning to think Android just does the "phone" thing better overall, while iOS does the "tablet" thing better.

I recently switched to the z fold2 and it's been such a solid device. Every aspect of the device has surprised me. I was not thinking I was going to like it this much but it has made using my phone easier because of the bigger inner display.
Why are you switching to an older device? Arent z fold 3 even cheaper than that?

Not a youtuber, but my favorite smartphone for 2021 is the s21 ultra... Love its camera performance, especially the Expert RAW version
It didn't get talked about much because it came too early in the year and people always jump to the new devices.
I agree, I have the S21 Ultra too and it's still a beast 1 year later. Certainly way better than iphone. The display is top notch & the camera is incredible.
I preordered my Fold 3 day one and was pleasantly surprised to see how many people agree with me about it, was expecting more Pixel 6 Pro representation but good to see my productivity fam being represented

Hello SuperSaf, I usually don't watch your content but this video near the end of the year is always worth watching for me! I noticed a couple of things:
- Jenna and Justine's last name is both Ezarik, does this mean they're family/relatives?
- diverse group of content creators for the most part but by seeing how few female tech reviewers were in this video, I realized how few prominent female tech reviewers there are on CZcams!
- not a SINGLE mention of OnePlus or Xiaomi, they must have done really poorly this year then!
oneplus and xiaomi are performance phones, they sacrifice camera for performance, that's why you wont see people like these using them. They dont really have time for gaming so they dont really care about performance.
Austin Evans moments with SuperSaf was epic comic. Laughed out a lot. But these insights help us decide on our final choice. Loved it.
I had to admit the flip and fold is the new era to love them. Im looking forward to the z flip4 for better battery life

My favorite phone of the year is the Pixel 6. I'm loving Android 12, the battery life, and the design. On top of it all, it's $599! You can't beat that price with a stick! Definitely the best bang for buck phone imo.

mmmm yeah but android dude. Well, I used android for like 8 years but when I tried iPhone for the first time (as a personal phone), I felt in love with it. Definitely not going back to android. Its just the software that make it a wn.
I'm also using the z flip 3 and I really like it a lot . It's convenient , small and great customization. Of course it doesn't last all day but still great phone and I actually like the cameras , I have been a fan of Samsung's cameras 😊🥰

I was using the Xiaomi Mi A3 for most of the year, but I ordered a Google Pixel 6 for myself about 2 weeks ago and it arrives on the 30th. Super excited

My favorite of the year is the S21 Ultra for the cameras. My photos and videos in 10X to 100X are helping me see amazing things I can't see otherwise: features of the moon, ravens feasting on chicks in a hawk's nest, a bird eating papaya seeds from inside the fruit! Then I get to show it to others. I've been waiting years for this to come together and it's great.
S20FE, Pixel 6, Iphone 12, S21 plus would be the best overall smartphones this year either discounted or vfm.

This makes me so excited for the future of foldable phones..... maybe another 2 or 3 years and it will be a serious consideration for regular people for their 1 and only phone once they become more durable and figure out how to get 10-12 hours of screen on time like the S21 Ultra and the 13 Pro Max. Hopefully the next phone I trade my 13 Pro Max in for will be a foldable. I love Samsung phones I'm super happy with my S21 Ultra even though I'm using the 13 Pro Max usually because it's the new new. I can't wait to see the S22 Ultra. That has me super pumped 🙌 😄 😀 😆

I think having one should be a prerequisite of "phone of the year" discussions.
Wanting something and reading about it with hype is very different from owning it and dealing with day to day things you may not realize come as part of the package.
You could think it's all great now and then own one and hate it from something you never considered.
I'm currently using the z fold 3 but my best is the s21 ultra alall day! I love the camera on the ultra, and the zoom feature. Love the battery life as well. And planning to trade my z fold 3 for the s22 ultra...
S22 Ultra is what I'm hyped about until Samsung fixes the garbage aspect ratios on the Z Fold series AND adds Ultra-level cameras too.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M so true! That's another thing about the fold 3, that aspect ratio is horrible. Some applications are too zoomed in and even changing it in the labs settings they just change the frame but it stays zoomed in. So hate that a lot. That another thing that I want it to replace it for the s22 or even going back to the s21 bro.

Yay for my fellow Flip 3 user!!! I'm not a tech person, and as long as the phone didn’t lag, I'm just happy enough. But the thing I love the most about my Flip 3 is how pocketable it is. I'm a petit person and this phone fit my jeans pocket just right. And the bonus side is, this phone is a total showstopper. I never run out of people who turn and look at my phone or asked 'is that a flip phone?' So far, I have an amazing experience using this phone

I'm using OnePlus 7pro and next week i will change it for Pixel 6pro .. but i need to say that i did love the experience that OnePlus gave me for the last two years .. and till this day the phone works really good and it's smooth like i was unpack for the first time , but now i want to try something else from Android so i decided the pure software from Google

I used to OnePlus 7 pro for 2 years as well and ordered the Pixel 6 Pro the day it was released. I do agree with you that the 7 pro was and still is a beast. Pixel 6 pro on the other hand kind of disappointed me because of all the bugs they have, but I know google will fix all these with the upcoming update, so, really looking forward to it.
Same for me! Switching from the OP7PRO to the Pixel 6. OP7PRO still works like butter, but it's time for a better camera and different android quirks to test out.

Finally, I got the RAZR 5G. And OMG. it's just a breath of fresh air.
Has alot of flaws (battery life) but its just so fun to use. So fun. I love it.
I'm definitely waiting on the Zfold3 to get cheaper.
I've been contemplating on getting the Razr 5G from T-Mobile for $500 only because of the low price vs launch price.
I have zero NEED for the Razr 5G but I've played a lot with my friend's Razr 5G and I like the larger outer display vs the Z Flip 3 but I do love One UI instead of stock Android.
Not sure if I want to pull the trigger on the Razr 5G for $500 solely for the sake of collection purposes. 🤔

Always interesting that most CZcamsrs don't use the Galaxy S line longer than doing reviews on them. Is it just there are some unique phones out there or are other phones just better suited.
First thing first: A historical moment has happened, iJustine didn't pick an iPhone!
Secondly: Linus didn't have complaints about the fold 3, This might mean he actually moved from his note 9.
He just didn't mention it here but he still has the same complaint from last year of the youtube story not working.

i can't imagine him moving away from it but maybe, yes. I have my note 9 as a secondary backup for my other number and it just got another security update. I WAS SURPRISED! i thought they were done with it? I was going to custom rom it and what have you but it feels like i might not need to. idc for the major updates with cosmetic looks, security updates please.
My favorite phone this year is the one that I bought (the Pixel 6). I am tickled to see so many people charmed by the convenient pocket-ability of the Flip.

For me, the iPhone 13 pro max has got an epic battery life and great camera but iOS is a bit behind in almost everything.
