  • In this video, Chandler takes us through what happened with his Holosun 507C V1. After a fault in the red dot, we went through the warranty process, give our experience, and of course our thoughts on what happens and where we go from here.

    Today I received my brand new replacement 507c x2. Thank you Holosun. I got the original one on a FN502T last spring. Had issues with it from the start and they replaced it. THANK YOU

    I like holosun optics, so far I think this is the first video I have seen of a failure. I have 4 pistol and an AR optic. Thanks for the video!

      We are huge fans as well! From what I’ve been reading, Gen 1 seems to be the outlier on the 507C. I’m excited to get the X2 tested!

      @@RangeDay I got an email there is a package arriving tomorrow from Holosun. Unknown what they are sending me. No communication from them. I'll update in a day or so.

      They replaced the guts (same serial number I had) of the Holosun SCS MOS. It took about 17 days from when I sent it back. No communication from Holosun, I just got an email with tracking number when they sent it out. It now works perfect. I believe it was defective out of box when it was new. @@RangeDay

    i have multiple holosuns and only had one issue. one 507C v1 wouldn't shut off. had used it for years. sent it in and received a v2 replacement as well. i like the window much better than my trijicons. i do have two SRO dots and they have been flawless.

      Thanks for the feedback! The V2 replacement seems to be a good quality improvement from what I’ve seen and read.
      I’m still digging into the SRO, but we are definitely loving it so far!

    V1 had some growth challenges, thus the V2. Sounds like a fantastic customer experience.

    Recently happened to me. Have a 507K X2. Change the battery annually. This year 2024 when I changed the battery it would not power back on. Had a cheap supply of batteries and thought that was the issue. Purchased a name-brand Energizer same thing. Removed the battery and let the dot sit at least 30 min. Problem resolved. My old supply of batteries worked too. Lesson Learmed. Almost sent back to Holosun as you did.

    In Sept of 2022, I got my new Holosun EPS Carry mounted on my slide at YaegerWorks after they milled it for me. I have replaced the battery already one time with their advertised battery life. The battery they sent was a cheap battery so I'll give the optic no knocks for that. I have replaced it with an Energizer Lithium battery just this week and am expecting longer battery life. So far, no real negatives on the optic, battery...meh.

      The battery life I had was really good, but nowhere near what they said. I think I use Duracell in mine and it was about 3-4 years but it was not my EDC at the time.

    Same thing happend to me now I can't turn the dot even on. 507 comp that's why I'm watching this video.
    Shoot now I have to figure out all this process sending it to them. Ugh

      Hopefully it’s not bad for you either. But extremely annoying. Especially on the new 507 Comp. I had high hopes for that one.

    Is the sro a 5moa or 2.5 moa

      2.5! I think it’s sort of a sweet spot.
      But if you want the dot to be more of a 5 MOA size, just turn the brightness up to max on the 2.5.

    What email or phone number did you use to contact them? I bought a 510 a month ago and the manual brightness adjust doesn’t work. I’ve been calling and emailing them since I bought it and have never got a response.

    I have had 2 507k warranty cause the battery would only last not even 30 days on a CCW carried 12-13 hours a day on medium setting. Sold them both cause I just couldn’t trust them anymore. If it happened to just one yea I see that but 2 isn’t acceptable.

      That is definitely cause for concern. Appreciate the share in information. I wonder if it’s a QC issue? The 407k on my P365XL has held up great to battery life, but I don’t blame you at all with an experience like that.

    mine got stuck on max brightness..no amount of button pushing would stop it. Took battery out put new battery in now wont power on at all. Made in china
