Eclipson Cobra is an agile and fast EDF sport jet with a unique tail configuration for this type of aircraft. For the first time we will sell this model in 3 different formats: with a V-tail; with a T-tail; or with both tail configurations - Věda a technologie
Printing this out right now. Love that it does not need a bunch of carbon rods :)
hey sneak dissing model x. its the best tho
This will beone of my next models for sure! Great editing and great choice of music 👌
Just the model I -wanted- needed.
And it Can Take Off from Tramac! 😲 God bless You Eclipson Team!! Bravo!.... I will buy it!
Take off is not the critical part. Landing is :D
@@st3v3nk3 it depends how well the model is designed, if it holds its attitude during glide very well it shouldn't be a problem.
Good thing I watched your video After I printed the whole fuselage without bottom layers. o\ Doff, Imagine how hard it was getting fus1 and fus2 to line up.
It is important to read carefully all the instruction. It will save a lot of time.
Nice!!!
Bravo.perfect
This one seems promising
Super 🙌👏👍👍
Super !!!
I wish the rest of your models had those joiners, I would pay for that kind of upgrade
I don't even use joiners anymore, not that difficult to line up without them.
I am curious as to how you did 1. The airframe design, 2. The graphic design, 3. Applied the graphics to the plane, 4. How you think it handles?
Muito lindo
If I print everything in pla, the edf of 50 with 3s would fly too and does it have to carry 4s?
You will need 4S
Where can u print the black connector pieces? I have the plane printing now and don’t see a gcode for them?
They are called "hinge"
My printer isn't compatible with the flexible TPU filament, so I designed a small hinge that I printed in PETG with 1mm wire for a metal hinge pin. I printed the standard hinge tiles in the LWPLA for the fuselage joiners, and this seems to be solid.
Let me know if you'd like me to share my hinge file.
All printers are compatible with TPU, Direct drive is not mandatory. Yes you are free fo share the files if you want.
I simply used a length of TPU (approximately 15 mm). Smashed ends a bit flatter where they are bonded to structure and used it like that. No need to print anything. TPU is very tough, difficult to tear so a hinge made from TPU will work fine even if it is only a very narrow strip. This was not on an eclipson plane, but it would probably work too.
I just buy it but I don’t know if Hinge are in TPU or PETG?? Thx
Hello. TPU or any other flexible material
En construction en ce moment pour le Cobra
Interesting hinge design, is that TPU or just thin PLA 'plates'?
TPU
Is 95a tpu flexible enough?
Can you replace the motor or esc after its glued together? It looks like it might be hard/impossible since the connection is not reachable
Yes, it is posible,
I didn't want to install my EDF until the end, so confirmed this was possible before I glued F3/F4 together 🙂
Yes is posible to install it at the end.@@geoffsim9736
Yes. Just unscrew the motor hatch and pull the fan out
So fellow nerds, if we had a 3D printer that’s on that track (like the CR-30) which enables unlimited length printing, could we print the main body in one piece?
with midification yeah as you feed the wire through before you glue body together
Be careful when putting in wing joiner with CA glue... it could 'stick' or adhere before it goes in all the way.
probably better to do with epoxy
I have used E6000 glue for this and it's nice, doesn't take much at all and easy to work with.
...😜👌
what size is the ducked fan
50mm
im going to experiment with a 180% scale for a 90mm EDF with 6kg of thrust. 3:1 power to weight ratio!!
140% fits a 80mm edf, it moves pretty well.
Is a 3S configuration possible?
Yes if printed with LW-PLA
@@eclipsonairplanes Ok 😊
I am planning to use my Dr.Mad Thrust 50mm EDF on 3S.
cool build guide but its very unclear.
i want to print this thing but cant figure it out when looking at this video.
like what are the things at 7:10 even for?
and the pin at 7:25?
Servos and tail skid
How could you blame this video... you have to have SOME knowledge about rc planes otherwise just buy a rtf model
@julian4035 why? Litteraly states "plane for beginners"
And im not gonna buy a stupid ready to fly lol
How is that even remotely fun? The whole point is trying something new.
Bro cmon you gotta know what a tail skit is...
The things at 7:10 are Servos... if you dont know what servos are your wrong in the rc plane hobby
what infill should I use?
All settings are outlined on the blueprints
@@eclipsonairplanes yeah but I use Creality print and not cura or Bambu lab
1:47 M2 screw x? M2 x 10? M2 x 13? This info is also not in the in the Cobra Instructions and temps pdf.
In the shopping list you can find all hardware required. M2X8 .www.eclipson-airplanes.com/cobra
Thank you @@eclipsonairplanes
Fouga Magister.
retracts and flaps V2 i would buy one then
Add flaparons or just add reverse thrust
Edf size?
50mm
1:idh 3d printer 2:i dont have servos por motors and 3:i dont have money xd ñ
Print at 121% , fits a 64mm edf. I have 5 cobras. Or try 140% , fits a 80mm.
I'm assuming you've tried these scales? Great info, thanks!
What about the servos? Just put bigger ones in because it’s scaled up?
@@user-yg4jr5zx3x yep, 12gram metal gear
