    Very well presented and informative, I have a Murcielago and some of the points mentioned are also faults with my car!

      Do you like the Murcielago more than the Aventador? Do you think the Murcielago will go up in value?

      @@mr.c9846 i doubt regular aventadors will. The SV and maybe cars like the Miura and 50th anniversary will

      @@retrorewind6042 I didn't ask about Aventadors. I asked about Murcielagos.

      @@mr.c9846 probably only the murci sv with manual trans are the only ones to go up. Only 6 were made I believe

    Thank you very much for addressing the issues... this car has always been a dream of mine, but seeing these issues just makes me look for a better option and less faults as they are a lot & expensive faults to deal with, and a headache 🤕

      I wouldn’t let it discourage you but keep these things in mind when considering a Murcie and use these things to your advantage for negotiate price. Also get a good PPI done

    Couldn’t really buy a lower miler LP640, I like cars that have been driven and well cared for! Garage queens can often have nasty problems waiting to surprise you. 10k+ is acceptable I guess

    I have a 2005 murcielago
    The oil sensor light comes on when the engine is hot
    Do you know what the issues?

    • @ozcarguy5276
      @ozcarguy5276 Před 5 lety +7

      The issue is when in heavy traffic there is not enough airflow over the oilcooler. Oil temps go to about 125C. The factory specified oil then becomes to thin and oil pressure drops at idle. This is why "for heavy track work" lambo recommends a 20w-50 4T motorbike oil from AGIP/ENI. However this is not a good daily oil, especially in lower temps. The answer is a PAO/Ester Synthetic (Redline, Royal Purple, Fuchs Pro Titan S are examples) or a triple ester synthetic (eg Millers NT or NT+). With these oils you can still run a 5w40 as they are still a high enough viscosity at 125C (and are OK up to 150C briefly). This is what I do (I run the Millers). However the next step is either fit a fan to your oil cooler to come on in traffic or if oil temps exceed 120C, or even better use an oil thermostat and a 2nd oil cooler with a fan on the other side of the car; this is what I'm doing to mine at the moment.

    I appreciate your video!! I was getting excited to buy it and the more research I DO, I DONT WANT IT!! This seems like a money pit! YOU would think the cost of the car they would make it bullet proof, very sad. LOST my excitement :( VERY SAD, I was so looking to buy one :( HOW can they make a clutch last only 10k thats horrible. I mean the factory should know these are powerful cars and people will drive them hard, why not make it better?? SO pissed !
