Late is better than never! From the beginning (during the entrance test), I wrote down the name of 7 girls and surprisingly they all made it to part 2. Kim Sujung, Nam Yuju, Son Juwon, Ryu Sarang, Choi Jungeun, Jung Saebi, and Fuko. Considering they've all made it to part 2, I'm expecting at least 3 of them to be in the final lineup.

The editing was so bad, they only have 24 contestant but somehow the show re heavily screen time filled with the one who they favour the most and flashback from before episode or from contestant another life before joining iland. The one who i want to watch even if they show its either 1 sec shot, background voice or they re as background people. Im glad as soon as they eliminated my pick i drop the show asap because i cant stand no more with the editing style. Compare to PD48, Gp999, Universe ticket even My Teenage Girl which have way more contestant have better editing in showing contestant. Is it worth to watch? For me who usually stay till the end of the survival show i can say that this is the first time i drop a show without wanting to know who will win.

My girl is an ALLLL ROUNDER. And thats how i started supporting her lmao. Shes very talented and defo needs to debut. Loveeeee Bang Jeemin. Vote for her everyone! Make her debut! I also really love some of the other contestants. Sujung, Saebi, Jungeun, and Mai. I hope the debut line isnt rigged (Even though the remaining contestants are all talented.)

Ep 6 is mostly a recap Ep7 is 90% just the elimination with a bit of back story of the survived eliminations candidates. Now will have only 12 girls, 6 "saved" by votes. But putting the most popular girls to be saved by votes isnt very "free voting". Maybe do this two togheter or with 8 depeding on your timeline / disposition. Ep8 will actually start phase 2 with individual competion amd finaly reveal the number of members. I think will be between 5-7, leaning to 5.
I prefer iland 1 than iland 2, iland too is so gp999 coded, iland one had more identity in my opinion, but at least it feels a little less hunger games as you said Genuine question, have you watched the original Iland?

I actually watched Ground's performance first (because I watched Girls Planet once upon a time and told myself "never again" but I've been a Yuju stan since Capteen), found out they lost, watched Iland's version, raged a bit (because WHAT THE F-), calmed down (because maybe I was just biased), raged some more (bECAUSE WHAT THE FU-), and FINALLY sat down to watch the full show because I wanted to get my sources right when I write that very heated very strongly worded comment about how the Sujung, Yuju and Jeemin deserved ALL the praises and the ground version should've won!!! (sorry this is so long - it sets me off so bad every time iland2's creative battle gets mentioned)
I think the judges have a bias against sujung. They expect her to be this absolutely perfect dancer since she was on sgf and when she does anything and i mean ANYTHING less than perfect she gets criticized from the judges
I have so many issues with that show. First until part 2 I feel like it's obvious that there's like 13/14 girls that are I-land material and the rest is obvious filler. I also feel like they tend to give who they like the best edits as they have some say in the group (as of now we know that there's 3 chosen by public so it must mean 3 are producer picks.) The only thing that I will give them is that so far all the performances gave somewhat the same vibe which makes it clear what color they seem to have in mind for their group as opposed to like GP999 that had all types of different concepts that looked completely different. Finally I feel like right now unless your fav is someone precise there seem to be a consensus on who will/should debut. It seems like the group that would please the most people would be Fuko, Jungeun, Jiyoon, Saebi, Koko and Jeemin. Weirdly enough I feel like as with a lot of shows recently (RUNext and Gp999 comes to mind) someone from that lineup won't make it and someone a bit less popular will make it and it'll piss people off.

I've only watched the first 2 episodes and the 6th one (watched it live out of curiosity) and I have to say episode 2 APPALLED me. The best vocalist in the competiton, Jiyoon, and the 3rd best vocalist, Fuko, BOTH went to ground. I simply cannot believe it, these rankings are not off skill (excluding jungeun ofc she's 100% debuting).
I was angry with Jiyoon at first but I'm so happy that she now recognizes her shortcomings and is improving. My ish was with her reluctance to cover cute songs and I had to wonder what she would do if the final group was given a cute concept since most groups from surivals end up cute like concept. Would she leave if she wins and the group is a cute concept?? Overall, she is still my top pick along with Jungeun
i have a controversial opinion: jeemin and mai are overrated. Jeemin is good but people overhype her there are better trainees. Mai’s performance skills are good but she’s lacking a lot when it comes to vocals. I feel like people just vote for her bc of her looks and personality
jiyoon is really pissed and mnet editing make it much worse. but she needs to learn professionalism soon if she wants to be an idol. it’s okay if she wants to sulk, but let it affect the whole team performance is not okay. no wonder the girls didn’t vote her to stay is iland. her reluctant to cover cute concept too because it already instilled in her mind that she cannot do it. in the end it affect her own performance
in the later episodes you can see that she improved her professionalism but you jiyoon haters always hold onto the first few episodes. anyways, shes debuting because both knetz and inetz like her haha
