- It’s time to saddle up and ride Football Manager to the brink of possibility, we have taken FM 1000 years into the future to see exactly how all of this plays out. Well, we’ll get as close as we can to 1000 years until the game breaks, which turned out to be 830 years into the future! The top teams have shuffled all over the place and there are new heroes amongst the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A. Or are there?
I have to keep the mystery up somewhat. We look at the top five leagues, the champions league and the World Cup to bring all the crazy stories from the future to you thanks to FM’s incredible capability to just keep going. There’s something to be said for just continuing on and on and on and on and on and on to produce the insane stories that we saw develop over the course of this simulation. I hope you enjoy!

Honestly, I hope they keep the game as stable as possible so these comments don't become too common. As a Brazilian it's already disappointing to see Pelé being disrespected, but just imagining future people will disrespect Messi and Cristiano, the two machines of our time, is sad
@@calamorta Other than Alfie from HITC7s everyone already disrespects players from nearly every period prior to mass TV recordings. Even achievements from 10 years prior to today get shade for not being a time as tactically advanced or astute. Honestly football has changed loads in the last 50 years, the back pass rule, offsides, cardable offenses, substitutions, officiating, pitch specifications, and coaching.
The problem with these type of save games is that they are often set up with High Detail for England only, which is why the Prem goes mad crazy and everywhere else is just standard ai sim city
I mean it’s understandable, if they did high detail for their all then the next video would be explaining why their house burnt down

@@Joshdoingthings1 it should at least have two top divisions from top 5 leagues set as playable that gives you 10 leagues, and also it should be on database like Quality Regens Nation Youth Rank & Rep, or something like that to make sure that newgens/regens around the world are more realistic, and that there are no more disproportions that one country in Europe has 145 or even 150 youth level, and other has just 60 lol.

You must have a very very powerful machine to handle that save file size
I remember in the old days a championship manager save file was about 20 meg... :)
Believe it or not, they are both top end but not ultra top end. The laptop Istarted the save on is an i7-10870H with a RTX 2060 and 32GB of RAM. The PC I finished the save on has an AM 3950 with a Radeon 5700 and 128 GB of memory. The save always run fine till about the 2400's, and then every 10 or so years it crashes, and says there's an issue with the video card, which leads me to think it's an issue with the video card memory. Last year though I was able to coax it all the way to 1000 years. This year the game crashed hard, to the point the game file wouldn't load, or the save files, so when I couldn't keep it running on the laptop anymore I moved it over to the PC, and even it crashed hard 830 years in. I *think* I know why, but its just a guess.
Some epic results in this save file. We now love Micky Higginson and Breiðablik!

It's so fun to simulate a ridiculous amount of time in fm and see what happens, a shame that only the league(s) you make playable see real change but it's cool to see some weird shit happen nonetheless
There's actually quite a bit of movement in the smaller countries that aren't playable, its just the big one for some reason they do not change all that much if you do not make them palyable/viewable.
Oberhausen are not a small club in Germany, really. They were one of the founding teams in the Bundesliga in 63, if I'm not mistaken, have played in the top league for most of their existence and went down the leagues just a few decades ago.
3022 we've colonized Mars but Manchester United are still to win another league title since SAF left
Glazers out is still going strong and only remote viewing androids are allowed into the ground (Neo Trafford of Xenocitadel on Titan) as spectators and are owned by the club. Most of the fans who buy the merchantdice don't live on earth and are only part human. The favoured attacking end is the Stretford airlock. Christiano Ronaldo is still alive and playing for his 800th club, he has returned to Man United on 30 occasions. He is still nothing compared to the GOAT Micky Higginson.
The club's been tossed several generations of Glazers n the Anthony Elanga statue is starting to crumble, sad times

I'm not shocked about The Blades dominating. Have a look around CZcams, from FM17 onwards, whenever someone does one of these crazy 1000-year simulations, Sheffield United always - ALWAYS - rise to the top. I don't know what it is.
My next save is definitely going to be Sheffield United and seeing if I can take them from Championship obscurity to glory boys. FM23 here we go!
In this save they had a Tycoon take over as owner. I might be able to check last years save and see if the same happened

I am litterally a Breiðablik supporter in real life soci was very shocked when i saw them win the champions league 4 TIMES!
Sheffield United also starting to dominate in my 50-year save. Three Champions Leagues and another 2 finals, 4 premiership titles, 2 Europa Leagues, 4 Super Cups, and a bunch of FA Cup wins and runners-up

In this save they had a tycoon buy the team in 2041, things started getting better almost right away for them.

As a Blade this makes me very happy. Weirdly enough I guessed we'd be the team to win the most titles because I remember seeing someone do this experiment a few years ago and it ended up that way then too

I'd love to see the list of modern records still existing in this save. The only record I'd imagine would still be around would be Messi's Goals in a season and year records along with his Goal involvement ones
If Higginson can score 22 goals in a summer tournament playing 7 games he must have smashed that record at some point.

In my FM22 game, I started at Gateshead and brought them to the Prem, even winning it one time. Somehow it makes me proud knowing they can do it without me!
As a citizen of Tamworth, I can not see them EVER getting an away day at Stamford Bridge. So thank you for the whole simulation, it is an occasion I want to see my virtual Super Great grandchildren get.

Not having a save file with Mickey Higginson in it will be one of my bigger regrets from this save. Higher than not have Spain as playable. 34 save files from 2839 on, and the game ran fine during the reign of the worlds greatest player ever...

I have a FM16 save I've played until 2142 (dont ask) and believe it or not Brentford are the dominant force in the Premier League, having won 29 League titles
Sheffield Utd are also right up there in my save as well with 13 titles so make of that what you will

Surprised there was no shock WC result for Solomon Islands. On average (not necessarily in any given year) they're usually the best of the non-New Zealand Oceanic teams, so they'd only need 2 shock results (vs NZ and vs the other conference playoff team) to get into the tournament. With the way FMing happens, I'm genuinely more surprised they never made one than I would have been if they had.

the problem with the game is that it is set in stone even for 800 years, you should see a few changes like maybe in 2340's Antigua has a disagreement with Barbuda and they become separate fierce rival nations

They can tell you how much potential someone has but they can't predict who's gonna win the world cup or the europa league, just who has bigger chances, like a betting site

Well, i just finished the 2022 world cup on my latest stage, and DR Congo, (yes ik they arent in it irl) got to the FINALS. They beat Portugal in the GS, France 2-0 in the RO16, Belgium 4-0 in the quarters, Senegal 1-0 in the semis just to lose to England 3-0 in the final 😭
In last years version of the save, DR Congo won a cup in the 2040's...which was completely out of the blue. In this years save the closest a Team from Africa gopt was Quarter Finals IIRC

Would love to see what the actual players are like at this time. Are there some 6'8 monsters? How DID Shef Utd win all those titles? Did they get a purple patch of youngsters which they were able to leverage into big sales and Ballon D'ors?

1000 years is extremely wild that even the best PC in the world can't handle 860 or over years of age. But years into the future video is actually the best when it comes to mindblowing departments.
Countries used are key. FIrst iteration of the save had 16 teams, and lasted 300 years. 2nd iteration had 12 and went ~450. Last save was 8, and I took out the MLS, and it went 830 years. For comparison purposes, last years save was six teams and went 1000 years and came in at around 3.6GB in size. This years save was 8 teams at 830 years and came in at 4GB in size. I *Think* if you avoid a country with some out of the ordinary rules (sorry australia and the US), and keep the number of countries ~8-12 you should get at least 800 years in. Will find out next year for sure. :-)
