you have no idea how many kids pull that type of thing with me when I have to supervise a lesson or when a certain trainer hasn’t shown up in a couple of weeks
Most of it happens when told they can’t canter or trot in the first 5 minutes of a lesson(cuz warmups) which would go like this “BUT SO AND SO WOULD HAVE LET ME DO IT”, or my favorite “my moms paying for me to ride” or we know their just not ready to do it yet or we are having not idea riding conditions(snow,rain, horse has something,etc) which then goes more like this(most of the time it’s jokingly), “but I know how to... I’ve done it one time before”, “your being mean to meeeeee”, “but whyyyy?” “ you bullying meeeee”
TLDR: kids in group lessons love to say that we are bullying them by not letting them do something

I think riding with other girls motivates gabby she did really well.
I admire how versatile of a rider gabby is. She’ll get on anything so fearless and she looks like she’s ridden the horse her whole life!
Gabby looks darling on that pony. I know I've said it before but I think you guys should consider Fjord horses! One could take you out on trail, keep Sophie safe, and be a blast jumping and showing for Gabby.

I love group lessons I almost never have private lessons, but I’m not complaining I love hanging with my buddies
Simply Equestrian from an instructors perspective, I feel the same way. I love the energy of group lessons, they are so fun and everyone learns so much from each other.

Wow! You guys all canter at the same time! In our group lessons we will all be walking then one at a time, we will canter to the back. We usually do separate things, like while everyone is walking the trainer will tell one person to canter to the back, then past the ride, then a circle etc then we’ll be at the back again. This happens repetitively. Very surprised you all canter at the same time! It’s very interesting for me to watch, it’s such a change. This episode really made me giggle. Thank you for putting a smile on my face 😊

This is a tip for the girls light seated canter, when their cantering instead of pushing themselfs out of the saddle put all their weight in the heels and that will make ur seat lighter without u pushing urself out 😊

I love watching your lessons! Gabby does well on Coco. This group lesson looks like so much fun, and such a work out as well. It’s gotten cold here in the US as well... and it snowed! At least you guys have a blanket to huddle up in as well. Sometimes that’s what my friend does when she teaches lessons.

GABBY SHOULD TRY THE JUMPERS WITH THAT PONY! MAYBE SHE'S GONNA FALL IN LOVE FOR THE JUMPING AND WILL WANT TO BUY A JUMPER HORSE INSTEAD OF A HUNTER HORSE! ( btw that's what I did and I reeeaalllyy don't regret it!)

Gabby don't worry this sort of "bulling" happens all the time in group lessons but going first is way better because if the rider before you falls off then your like HECK NO i'm not going that but really it happens all the time and you did great

I think if she just sits slightly taller it might help with her balance. Like trying not to bend too much at the waist. She looks great regardless! Her progress has been awesome to watch!

If you want to stay warm try contrast showers, they really help but it takes a while for you to feel the benefits.

I love you guys and how you live your lives, but I think that Gabby is too big for Cocoa and it looks like Cocoa has too big of a divet in her back to support even a light weight driver like Gabby. I'm not trying to hate on you guys, I'm giving my own opinion. You dont have to listen to me, I just suggest gabby riding a different horse that is at least 3 hands taller. Otherwise this video is absolutely awesome.

I suggest when you guys do no stirrups u cross them over their necks in front of the saddle. It hurts you less and more importantly it wont hurt or bother the horses than them swinging. i rode a pony that got bruises from them

I get bullied on a daily basis it’s nothing new
You jump to low ( yes my horse is 3 ) you jump to often ( I ride like 6 different horses a week ) wow you have a free horse , free horses are not going to make event horses or hunter
This is all part of dealing with this community and it’s is what makes to tough

I hate no stirrup work, not just cuz its annoying but I hate the stirrup hitting the horse and confusing him
Emily Bowen take the stirrups and lay them across the horses neck in front of the saddle. 😉 Problem solves you just can’t practice getting them back. BUT remember that the purpose of the lesson is to be able to lose your stirrups during a show, continue safely and not get hurt. There’s one really good young girl on CZcams that competed in a jumper class, cute little girl and her pony... lost both stirrups, finished the round and I believe she one! So, the practice is very important. 🥰
