If you’ve only worn the boots 6 times they might not be fully broke in yet and you might not be used to it since you haven’t ridden in them in a while!!

Yeah the intermediate gait is pretty cool
Although the maximum weight they can carry is 25%, make sure you keep in mind the weight of the saddle in that percentage
it matters more how you ride.
@@angelr856 It actually does matter! It's easier for the horse to carry a heavy rider who sits still and carries their own weight than a heavy rider who is bouncing all over the place. Of course too much weight is too much weight and even being a good rider won't take it away, but it will make it easier and less harmful for the horse.

@@angelr856 Did you read my comment properly? Of course it will cause problems and be uncomfortable for the horse to put on too much weight on his/her back, but by being a good rider you can make it easier for the horse. When you sit still, carry your own weight and sit on the center of the saddle it will be easier and more comfortable for the horse no matter the riders size. It's allways uncomfortable for the horse to have a bouncing rider who sits skew on the other side of the saddle. I have actually a proof of this. I let my sister who is a beginner trot my horse for several meters while i was leading. My horse absolutely lost it, he pinned his ears and tried to bite me. He is a strongwilled horse so i really wasn't suprised of him showing how he absolutely hated having an bouncing rider. Before this i had never let any beginner trot with him. This is still a phase every rider will go throught and happily we have horses who will put up with us. However if you are heavy and on the limit of the weight the horse can carry you may cause even more problems by being an unexperienced rider.

That saddle is an Australian Range Saddle. You can ride all day in it, and not be too sore at the end of the day. They are very comfortable. I loved the one I had. And I always was able to put the English saddle on to compete with. But for a relaxing hack, I always used the the Australian. My goodness, Larocca has great cannon bones. Short and strong. A short back. Very nice pastern angles. Nice slope to her shoulder, that is was you need you to look out for Laura. And at least 1000 pounds, big through the chest, not narrow. If you're serious about a Paso Fino, ask her to keep an eye out for one for you. She knows your size and what size Paso would be best for you. Just a suggestion. Fantastic advice 👍 and it does seem that they can get problems and are prone to degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis (DSLD), where the fetlocks sink towards the ground, which is obviously what the owner was talking about

Looks like a Tucker saddle to me. Ive owned about 5 of them. Loved every one of them.

so glad so see Laura enjoy the paso life, these horses are truly amazing & bring a lot of people smiles! the first horse i ever trained was a little paso mare! they have quite the personality! extremely happy to see a family on youtube riding paso’s especially with all the negativity gaited horses get.

NOW you understand...NOW you have that special feeling... Smiling here my friend..you are excited again but this one I can feel is different..happy for you. Only suggestion is you liked and were comfortable in the saddle you rode in...put feelers out for a Paso Vino saddle...they are very comfortable but made especially for gated horses for their shoulders to move freely. Happy trails Laura.enjoy every moment

Yes she listened to everything I told her. She is a lovely horse. I let her canter home and it was amazing! I lead the horses and they all followed and it was such an amazing feeling to be so confident to just lead the horses!
So wonderful that these fancy footed Fino have shown you that they are the horse for you. One reason people love GAITED horses is of course their smoothness. They have a high head set which I think gives the new riders more control and confidence. Normal horse carry heads lower which gives the horse more opportunities to buck, spook or act up. Get those GAITED horses going and their brain is connect to that quick little

Saddle was definitely a tucker saddle. They are so comfortable! And I have a paso fino and she is so amazing! Out of all my horses she has the best attitude and temperament!

The boots stretch from the heat of your foot and wearing them often. If you leave them sitting for a while they could shrink back to original size when they were bought. I would recommend conditioning your boots and leaving them on your feet to get them back to normal. I hope this helps! Love you and your family 💞

Laura, I have rode in a saddle that you rode on Larocca too. It was amazing, and I really liked it! I rode on a Clydesdale and we used that saddle. It made the ride so much more enjoyable.

Your so confident now Laura! You should really learn to jump, you sounded like you wanted to! I think you’d have so much fun if you could jump with the girls! Of course you should work on getting more confidence to canter first, but you could always do trot poles to start! 💖🐎
So excited for you to get your new horse, but keep in mind that each horse can only carry a max of 20% at the most and that includes tack. Just keep that in mind as you don't want to damage your horses back.

The leather just might be stiff on the boots. Even if you are not wearing them make sure they are stuffed and if you can condition them for a bit. My boots get stiff between rides in the winter!
