Yeah, Tony made the sacrifice play in practically every single film he was in- he never backed down from a fight, he never gave the work over to somebody else unless there was a tactical advantage, he went from a man who said “you can’t touch my suits or technology “ to one who believed there should be accountability for the Avengers actions such that they didn’t, say, drop building on innocent civilians; he stood up to fight Thanos, w impossible odds, and had Quill had the teeniest, tiniest thought of humanity rather than merely Gamora, they could have beaten Thanos while on his land. Instead, he ruined everything and I wish somebody had mentioned that just once, even in an understanding manner, bc that was INFURIATING; he literally cost the lives of half the population on earth but thank God he managed to punch out at Thanos. (The guy from Guardians of the Galaxy. I hope I’ve got his name right.)
Then, as is noted above, after almost dying in space, Tony gets his dream marriage, his kid, his happy life, and his friends come back and say “just a little thing, we need a time capsule, can you fix us up?” And of course he can bc he’s brilliant but then AGAIN he makes the sacrifice play and while I don’t DISLIKE Cap or anything, he can just bite me. 😎🥂🍾🍸🥰🥰 Love Tony 3000!!

They proved each other wrong in the end. Steve proved that he was more special than just the serum by wielding Mjolner (I probably spelt it wrong) and Tony proved he could make a sacrifice play by literally sacrificing himself to save the universe.
Steve was wrong about a lot of things. In fact most of the bad shit that happened could have been avoided, if he wasn't always on always his self-righteous, high horse. After finding out that a****** killed his parents and Steve knew about it and said nothing He called Tony selfish but in the end Steve was the one who ended up making the selfish play to give himself a happy ending. Captain Captain America only made one sacrifice and he went back to fix it so he never made any sacrifices at all.

When I saw Tony die I saw my childhood die. I grew up with Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr/Iron Man and seeing him die was hard for me to accept.
