I'm sure Paddy is a man of his priciples and paid Chuck for his time.
Why is this the first thing I thought too?
Chuck deserves it...absolute legend..
Exactly what I thought first, was genuinely curious
Why would you think that? You think Chuck is struggling? He's worth $12 MIL! Paddy's got maybe a few million?
@@hughjoelcaulk7244 this has nothing to do with Chuck, it is a dig at Paddy demanding money to do interviews...
The man's principles are flawed.
The man the myth the legend chuck this man's been in more battles then most of the UFC roster
Dm you won 🎉
The ice man
Combined! :D
Truth
Love your pic
I watched UFC back in the early 90’s when Royce Gracie was fighting. But Chuck Liddell is what really got me into the sport. He was a major part of the golden era of MMA and got a lot more eyes on the sport. Paddy interviewing some legends. And he always asks good questions too.
Never seen anyone make a ko look so simple ,he was amazing to watch ,all the best chuck ,he put more people to sleep than valium lol
Chuck is one of the best counter punchers of all time. You cant really fight like that anymore but him and Anderson Silva were absolutely starching guys while moving backwards is was awesome to see
why not?
That's still a thing.
The real first super star of the UFC , the man that got me hooked on mma!
Dm 🎉
A lot of people
The absolute definition of a warrior. He's the first MMA fighter I ever became a fan of, and in a big way is responsible for my own combat sports journey. Legend.
I’m happy you brought chuck and heard his stories. Most people got into ufc back in the day because of him.
Chuck is my stand out favourite fighter ever . He is flawed , as are we all. I just love the guy, and i used to get so pissed off when he lost a fight....for me he is a legend. ...THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES CHUCK 💙
Ya that was tough when he went on his losing streak.. even more painful the way he was getting ko’d 🥹
Whether you’re a Paddy fan or not, he did an exceptional job conducting this interview. At points Chuck was going off the rails a bit and Paddy brought it back brilliantly. Overall, a very good episode
Ya for being a young man he did a very good job 🤙🏼
didn`t know he had any fans.
this dude doesnt fight anymore after he got whooped by that small dude.
``He`s a podcaster now brother``
Chuck has made such a huge impact in so many ways... always with more walk than talk... so humble... thank you so very much Paddy... Cheers n Chomps Champ!
One of a kind overhand the one he landed on Overeem to get the finish was fkn beautiful
What a total legend. He made the UFC into the #1 combat sport, I feel bad for him and how hard it is for him to speak at this point in his life. I hope Paddy is putting 2 and 2 together.
He have CTE?
Guys the mans taken alot and I mean ALOT of punishment to the brain hence why he started to have a weak jaw at the end of his career. Hes not coked up. Hes 53 yrs old and i think he looks amazing compared to most men his age. Hes very punch drunk and hes always mumbled but its gotten worse over time. The man gave his health and body to the world of MMA we should have more RESPECT for this man. Thank you Ice Man!
Chuck is coked out of his mind!! He be smoking for sure!! BLESS HIS HEART.
Wouldn't have ever began watching mma without chuck liddell guys an absolute legend
That’s kind of sad
This is awesome, Chuck Liddell ! Great interview!
That was awesome mate thank you, and thanks to Chuck too 👍👍
Chuck is an absolute legend.
Does he have a cocaine issue? He seems twitchy bro. I hope he gets help
@@benjaminblakemore9704 Maybe getting punched/kicked in the head takes its toll on him.
@@benjaminblakemore9704 have you ever done coke?
The iceman! forever in the halls of fame.. i remember switching off channel 5 combat nights / cage warriors n that then catching up with whats happenin with chuck and tito in the ufc. Great memories
stay happy n healthy iceman! thanks for the bangers. Top one paddy 🙋🏼
the man who brought Ufc To MY eyes in 2002 or 2003. forever greatful for seeing somebody who transends the sport, he was the Face of the UFC in the Same way COnner mcgregor brought it to the Forefront. when adverage observers hear UFC the see Mcgregor or Chuck liddell. chuck kept it alive by carrying the torch after Don Frye of being a badass and a real man
Very good interview. Chuck is interesting and genuinely interested. Well done Paddy.👍
Chuck came out the other side , sure is courage to bring his sport to a level he set . Remember he was the target , grown ass men trained hard as hell to bring him down , studying his strengths .His words , “I got the best I could do , if not , hang it up . “
Chuck Liddell got me into Kickboxing and MMA back in 2007, i never fought as I was 26 and felt I was too.. The regret is real!
No you made the right decision.. I trained Thai boxing from a kid 6 my uncle had his own gym .. he was European champion I stopped at 15 had a few fights.. but stopped training started working then was 23 had a son .. was fed up of playing 5aside football.. started training again at 24 was training at a MMA gym.. but got asked if I would fight a Thai boxing fight thought yeah let's go was a French guy.. got my nose smashed cartilage collapsed and broke my hand .. had a terrible weight cut but I won was a close fight but I smashed his leg he was struggling to walk .. think years of training conditioning my shins from a young age .. got me through that fight but I had to have surgery a deviated septum my nose was smashed to bits.. to this day I still have problems with my hand now 12yr later .. there's no money in kickboxing or Thai boxing.. now all I do is grappling judo first then bjj and sambo.. can train hard spar aka randori or roll in bjj and not get kicked in the head.. can compete and if I loose IV got caught and have to tap .. you done the right thing yeah maybe have a fight but have alot starting at 26 your only going to get broken bones and brain trauma and that's when you can have won your fight.. you done the right thing chuck made good money but is suffering with brain trauma for it and probably things wee don't no about.. getting punched and kicked in the head isn't good unless there's a good chance you can make alot of money.. you made the right choice
@@carson3811 thanks for sharing :)
Paddy’s a good host. Kept the conversation going nicely.
Chuck grinds his jaw like crazy
I was wondering why he seems so off.
Pure Speed is wild wild drug
Started watching UFC back at UFC 30's, grew up with the sport. I own all the DVD's when that was a thing, and watched Chuck Liddell become one of the greatest in the sport, about to turn 36 in April... and to see where the sport has grown into from watching the first The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV. It's amazing
I'm a touch older so my start point was a bit earlier namely the VHS days but people who got into the sport after mid 00s will never understand how huge season 1 of TUF was for the sport & the Zuffa buyout I miss the old days when everyone had sponsors and different colours
@@whatwouldroddypiperdo2092 Yes I used to rent the VHS tapes and buy them at blockbuster before the dvd days. The only VHS UFC event I own is UFC Japan
@@shanebigfella7884 That's cool the only one I physically own anymore is UFC 38 as that was the first UK UFC event and I was there at like age 22 whatever it was so sentimental value got to see my boy Frank Mir
Yea this was the first sport I watched growing up. 7 years old watching the tuf 2 marathon before the finale. Wouldn’t change it for anything I’ve got into basketball and football in spurts but mma has always been more entertaining.
Legend and respect Chuck one of the best to do it and cheers Paddy for this one 👊🙏
What an absolute legend! Respect!
Dude was my hero for many years. Great interview guys. Thank you!
Chuck is looking good. 👍 One of my favorites of all time. 💥
Chuck is a legend of the MMA game for sure!
good Taste Paddy. you get the best fighters/People who Rep the Sport. your doing me proud and im canadian. i wish i could Watch you Fight Live. its hard living in Saskatchewan, i would have to Travel but man i hope one day i get to!.
Slappin it with the guests lad rampage would be another legend to get on think it would be a great conversation
You can just feel the respect Paddy gave Chuck, both of them are truly master fighters.
legend and future legend!!!
You can't go wrong with a legend!
Btw, the bare knuckle Vale Tudo (*anything goes) fight he had with Pele Lande was brilliant. Pele Lande was a Vale Tudo legend in Brazil. I was amazed when Chuck beat him. The fight is on CZcams I think. Go watch it!
The ICE MAN CHUUUUUUUUK LIIIIIIIIIIDEEEEELLLLLLLLL one of the best strikers ever, arms are so long down to his knees. What a fighter💯Respect, Go9d show Paddy laa✌️👍👍👍
And people say they can't understand Nate Diaz. These two really tested my comprehension skills!
My favorite fighter of all time he got me into mma as a kid
Still my favourite fighter him and Randy's trilogy is what got me into mma
Subbed your a natural at this
Chuck looks like he's on some good speed lmfao
Just keep talking Paddy. Only a matter of time. Nice to see you pay attention to the comments about Gordon. You know you know Paddy. We all do. Best wishes
I think that's why Fedor was so good at that time in the early days because combat sambo was kind of mixed martial arts already, with the striking and grappling elements.
I am am a swedish man of 43. I have learned english since fourth grade but damn its a challenge keeping up with these two.
Legend Respect 🙏 👏
Chuck'The Iceman' Liddell we salute you! Legend!
In his prime this guy was the MOST intimidating fighter in the UFC. He had a bit of Mike Tyson Ora about him where opponents would already be mentally defeated before they even got into the octagon with him just because of the intimidation factor...
Chuck is so scary in a fight, knock anybody out but he seems like the nicest guy in the world. It's such a strange mix.
He was the man when I first started watching. He put on a violence show that few ever have to this day.
I love that chuck always sounds like he just finished training or winning a belt.
My dad died of alcohol liver related at 45 years old. I remember as a kid it would be freezing In our house and he would be sweating head to toe . Sad
Chuck needs some stress balls bad. I think he misses his gumshield aswell dude got some crazy nervous energy. What a legend though man.
Probably the first mma match i ever watched was the Reem vs Liddell in Pride FC
Absolute Fukin Legend!!! "ICEMAN"💪
Great, that this one’s face to face. Chucks a legend.
Dm 🎉
Can you imagine how loud the Iceman snores. Lol. All due respect. One of my idols and an absolute pioneer of the sport, but I'm just saying😅
Iceman!!! We love you Chuck. You are the greatest fighter in MMA history .IMO
great convo from 2 awesome fighters I really enjoyed it thanks lads!
Paddy love the podcast but I have a suggestion I see you try to keep the episodes at an hour or about an hour i think the conversations are good and very natural and you shouldn’t limit it talk and learn from eachother and capture it and make history I love you keep up the good work and good look
I was training mma back when everyone poked fun of it. “Still doing Thai Bo?” They knew what you were doing but would always ask that dumb question around others. UFC shined a light on what it really is and Chuck and the other talent made it cool and took away that stigma. Importantly presented what a real sport it is and how effective it can be in the real world.
About time paddy chuck was the reason I started my love affair with the UFC the man is a god in my eyes
Only reason I even clicked on this video was to see if he paid Chuck for this interview, but I still don't care enough to watch the whole thing. Chucks a legend 💯
I never missed one of The Ice Mans fights. I was a fan from day one...
Iceman is a legend 🤲🏽 love him 🙌🏽💯
It's sad, but you can see poor chuck has suffered a bit of brain damage. I hope his health is stable for years to come
A little? That's being nice lol... Chuck is on the road to being another goodridge.
@@BrandonPoirierBlairGoodridge had it much worse
Chucky is sliding down the railroad jeeze
Was thinking the same thing, coke is a hell of a drink 😆
Paddy, outdone yourself here. Chuck is an absolute legend. Loved watching him brawl.
Would be interesting to hear Rutten and others of the early days. Tito had been another great chat.
The two fighters I always loved watching fight had been Chuck and Tito. Called my Stafy Tito because he was the dog as well 🙂
Would never insult chuck that way 😁
Paddy can't contain his excitement hahahaha FACTS!!!
Chuck is geeked
Great to see chuck but fuck I feel old I got into UFC 12 so remember Chuck's debut back in the days of having to get bootleg VHS tapes shipped to UK from America just to watch UFC & Pride
respect
Needed subtitles for this one lol but it’s worth it
Glad to see Chuck so well. Only sad because if he is getting old, must mean i am too!! Lol
Be sweet to see chuck become paddy's trainer
I'm glad to see you branching out. You must have a smart manager. Obviously fighting doesn't last forever, and after the last performance, its good to see you branching out.
It seems that Paddy recognizes his performance in the last fight wasn’t up to par and will address those things he needs to and grow. Listen to him talking to GSP about it and you’ll hear him talk about it. The hype train is what it is and I don’t fault him for going along for the ride but he’s humble enough to see it for what it is.
The iceman! Love it!!!
Holy MOLY Chuck is coked up here. Really hope he gets the help he needs, he is a true pioneer and legend.
He could be but I think it’s more likely cte
Meth is a Wild Wild drug !!!!
Definitely not coke, unless it's cut with some type of amp.
Likely a combination of the cte and meth mentioned above.
Dillon the professor street chemist 😂👨🔬
This is years of fighting, and he’s always been like this….the irony of iceman Liddell 😂🤷♂️

Geeeesus someone opened up a big can of CTE...
Also paddy not being able to READ Chuck Liddell a question about cte...🤣
Omg ive been watching since 1995. Met Dan Severn on my rez.
My boy Chuck is off the dust
I hear ya about the pictures but one thing to consider too is that these people are elated to meet you. They may not be the best versions of themselves because they are so excited to meet you! Doesn't excuse no manners but could see myself saying something dumb or acting stupid if I met the Ice Man!
Ufc52 Chuck v randy 2 was the first UFC event I ever seen randomly channel flicking late one night on bravo 🤣 mind that bravo? After a jab fae the iceman Randy slipped on the canvas and chuck just ground and pound the life out him..... Been hooked on UFC, MMA and bbj ever since. Chuck is the ultimate legend of the sport.
When he got beat and lost his belt to rampage I cried...... Real fucking tears.
One of the funniest chuck cameo is in half baked
Chuck is one hard man
I’m on my third bulldog named Chuck and she’s a bad ass just like him.
Paddy has blown up again.
yeah its kinda disturbing. I hope he finds a happy balance at some point

Nah he's not too big maybe 175
Great Hero from the first generation
Paddy better be paying everyone for these interviews…
Chuck can still beat some ass i bet ! he looks great !
Bout time paddy lad....👍
I need subtitles for chuck more than paddy😂
Do you think Paddy is dedicated to training in between fights like some of his future opponents? I'm sure he is. Wouldn't want to give them an edge. He's a professional after all
of course, he shows that he does even in other countries
Your a mushroom 🍄
@@jamesmurphy5195 not an answer tbf
100% He trains every day
Paddy needs to find his fangs, n tell em all he was a champ before cage rage
Anytime you're rising to the top of your area of expertise is a amazing time. But to be in on the ground floor of something like the UFC must have been more than words can explain.
Some good news is self explained and set the better example but four kings don't notice it
I just hope that Chuck was well paid for this.
