Yeah, I think they call that 'rolling thunder' the way Mir just rolls with the evasions to keep the threat alive till he gets it.
That was the first UFC event I watched. Seeing him do that & what Jones did to Machida blew my mind.
I haven't seen that in ages but that was insane.
And heel hooking big bad Brock Lesnar or was it a knee bar but Brock was a giant Juiced monster he was just Hulk smashing guy's but frank beat him with technique submitted the Hulk a guy who's twice as strong as nearly all the heavyweight UFC roster

Frank is one of the best ever, and should be commentating in the UFC. Loved him back in the WEC days commentating, awesome work paddy.
Frank is dropping some psychological bombs in this. Arnold Schwarz also confessed to going through a violent phase in his life before he became Mr. Olympia; he said he had a chip on his shoulder and had something to prove to himself and others, but he grew out of it as he got more success. BTW, I had a blast in Frank's club Rhino in Vegas a few years and saw some thick, tough bouncers there, all cool dudes though.

Frank Mir was badass in his day! Not as celebrated as he should have been. What is the first BIG guy who is bad ass at ground game and submissions in heavyweight in UFC. He was one of the first great guys who truly treated it as a sport. He didn’t have to hate the guy to bring the challenge to him. underrated.🧐
