HOW TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IN A 1997 DODGE RAM!!!!

Thank you so much really helped just bought the truck 3 week ago and last week the I smelt something burning the I stopped to grab gas and when I started the truck I didn't have headlights had to drive 3 miles on county road driving 20 miles hour. Luckily auto zone had the part switched the knob to the new light switch 1 week later no problem. Thanks

Best to put a relay in and run the lights through the relay. Bad light switch is a common problem with dodge, switch isn't heavy enough to carry the load.

You could of changed the plastic cover. I did it

I've done replaced a headlight switch and they still flash I'll check other things I dread it

Now Im going to be trying this too,a 97 into a 98 when it gets here next week.. Mine acted funny a few times too, so as long as this part works i should have lights again soon.
