- Duuuuude. This was fantastic. Thank you to Alice who requested this. I needed it. And once I found out what happened to the lead singer half way through the video, the ending hit me even harder. Wow. Such a tragedy.

My favorite band out of the 90’s. Shannon had the most amazing voice. His story is tragic - severe depression, self-medication, and overdose. He fought it, but didn’t win in the end. Much of his struggles come through in his lyrics, and they are often inspirational. They only had two albums with him, but they were gems. They put out a third album with some Shannon vocal tracks that were recorded before his death, and a third studio album with a different singer. Other amazing songs: Tones of Home, Mouthful of Cavities, Deserted, Walk.
RIP Shannon Hoon. I loved this album.
This is my favorite song from this album. RIP Shannon Hoon
Moon was from here in Indiana, 30 miles or so from here and my brother worked Union (Laborer) Construction with his brother after he died. His brother said that the only flowers his mother kept after the Funeral were the ones sent from Neil Young.
I love the lyrics from this song are engraved where he is buried : "I know we can't all stay here forever.....So I'm gonna write my words on the face of today.....And then they'll paint it."
I liked the song "no rain" so I bought the cd. I played it on repeat for months. Not a bad song on it.
I'm gonna have to check out the whole album. This was dope as hell. Such a shame what happened.
One of those you listen to over and over😂❤😢😮😅😊😅😢🎉😂❤
This entire album is great❤
Blind Melon is my favorite 90s band as well. Shannon Hoon's musical influences were The Beatles, The Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan. He was a hippie who was born at the wrong time and I always felt a bond with his music and lyrics. There is not one song by him that I don't love. It kills me whenever Blind Melon is referred to as a one hit wonder. It's still very sad to me that he died but he was an amazing individual who was so much more than just his drug addiction. Change is scary but this song just always lifts me up when I'm sad or fearful.
Great band ... Shannon lost his battle with addiction, he was fighting to get clean. " New Life " is a great song From Blind Melon... This was after he found out that he was to become a father, which became a good reason to beat his addiction. A beautiful song, but also, (imo), a cry for help.
Welcome to Blind Melon.Get on board and enjoy..
Great live band! Saw them with Neil Young if I’m not mistaken. I’ve seen so many bands so I get confused! My brain disorder doesn’t help any!
Watch their Woodstock performance. The singer was tripping on something
LSD☝
I have a five song marathon of blind melon on NicknLex reaction that’s great.
Who is that? Sorry, I don't watch reaction channels 😅 they're so bad. Mine is no exception if we are being totally honest. But I try to spice it up, at least.
@@L33Reacts it’s just more exposure to blind melon that came out about 30 days ago or so. Change is a great tune but their deep tracks are so much more heavy. You reaction is great
Keep on twinkin' on!
This album is freakin' amazing, so solid. I think my fave tracks I Wonder and Sleepyhouse. BTW I'm glad you didn't do the official video for this one because that one's a shortened edit. I hate it when they do that. (I imagine it's a label choice, not the artist)
Great tracks!
Blind Melon was incredible. I bought their first album because I thought that No Rain was pretty cool.
I quickly realized that the whole album was amazing. Then I saw them open for Lenny Kravitz who they completely blew off the stage.
The whole album is fire! But No Rain got so popular that people got burned out on them And many think of them as one hit wonder, when they really weren't
Jus saw btbam ans acacia strain in Beantown homie. Great insight. U do very well on this medium. Well done.
Really enjoy your reactions or whatever ❤😂🎉i Really love this song. I'm frigging 60 dude...this shit touches my ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 😅😊😂❤🎉😢😮😮🎉😢😢😢😢😢
I am a very cheap person, but this is the only album that I actually own, through the iTunes or whatever. ❤❤
No Rain was their big radio and MTV hit. It’s a great song, but they have so many that are better, IMHO.
NICE!!
This is really a great album ,unfortunately, they weren't around long enough for sure
More to Blind Melon than first appears. Was going to see a fundraiser concert with Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, and Blind Melon to raise funds for historic flood. The concert got canceled day of show due to venue parking getting flooded. Seeing Dylan and Mellencamp with Willie Nelson (and Robert Plant/Alison Kraus) this summer. Unfortunately, no chance with Blind Mellon. 😞
