CHICKEN BBQ

- 1 kg chicken thigh, skin on
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup calamansi juice
1 tsp. ground black pepper
¼ cup minced garlic
½ cup brown sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 cup peanut butter (for the sauce)
- Braise for 10-15 minutes, uncovered.
- Save 3 cups of the simmering liquid, add 1 cup peanut butter
Java Rice:
2 cups uncooked rice
3 cups water
2 tsps. turmeric powder
2 tbsp. banana catsup
¼ cup chopped red bell peppers
1-2 tbsps. butter

Chef, my wife just made this recipe using pork chop that she sous vide the seared. The flavor, the sauce, it moved my soul. One of the best sauces I've ever had in my life.
The java rice however had very little flavor but excellent texture, but I added the peanut sauce on top and it elevated it. Amazing!

At last a proper Filipino style peanut sauce from Chef RV's eternal fountain of generosity. Mahiya na lang sana yung ibang mga CZcamsrs diyan na post ng post ng mga luto puro kabalastugan lang naman. I can say this with confidence, I am just a home cook (I only cook for my family), I have tried many of Chef RV's recipes and wala pang pumapalpak and my family loves it. God Bless Chef RV, you are the best!

I tried this today and my family loved it especially my kids. My 7-year old son requested to save some for his school lunch. My dad who doest usually eat chicken ate to his hatisfaction.
