  • From Central Park in New York City, Bob Hope celebrates his 25th Anniversary on NBC that aired Sept. 25th, 1974.
Bob Hope's guests are Glen Campbell, Jackie Gleason, Carol Channing, Rufus and Miss America ~ Shirley Cothran. Also, plenty of the original Ford commercials!!
Glen Campbell practically puts the acoustic guitar in flames with his rendition of the Lone Ranger Theme ("The William Tell Overture") backed by Les Brown and his Band of Renown!
Then, Bob & Glen meet at Grants Tomb for some laughs...
Bob and Jackie do Noel Coward's tongue-in-cheek "Why Must the Show Go On?"
Bob and Jackie play a pair of vice cops who dress as women.
Carol Channing whistles sibilants as she tells "The Inside Story of Cicely Cisson".
*And because of insane copyright restrictions we were forced to remove the Rufus performance of, well it really doesn't matter now...and the same with a Carol Channing number. Last minute editing, just yanked them out. So I don't "advertise" the You-Tube restricted tunes. Thanks for your understanding...even if "I" don't.
