As an owner of Komplete 14 Collectors edition, I fully understand offers being made to entice new buyers, but it would be great if they rewarded at least komplete 14 owners.

NI had the same deal last year but with different plugins. IMO it's a complete scam as you should just wait until the summer to get 50% off, where you could use the saved money to buy the plugins anyway and still have money leftover. I understand that some buyers don't have that much time to wait, but I am still extremely regretful of my decision to buy K14 Ultimate for Monolith and Elysium (Collectors Edition came with Balkan Ethnic Orchestra) last year.
EDIT: NI made a few of their purchased plugins free (Analog Dreams, Ethereal Earth, Raum Reverb to name a couple) a few months ago and people are saying that they are being "generous to new customers". If they really want to give out free plugins, can't they create new ones like the Jacob Collier Choir instead of making plugins that people BOUGHT free?
If we don't get it, then it means you should not buy the instruments until you know the freebies later in the year as a new customer you will loose out.

I hope NI realizes that they will have a lot of unpleased customers if they don't make this offer valid for those who already bought their Komplete bundles. I know you are comfortably getting all their stuff and it's best not to criticize too much but you could give a word out to let them see that would be only fair to extend this offer to Komplete owners.

Well, this was really a huge dick move from Native Instruments. I have the 14 Collector's edition, and I'm being punished for buying it earlier. And therefore, any newer customers will actually have a Komplete 14 that's very different than what my "Everything ever released Komplete 14" is. These are the kind of stuff you would have expected in the next iteration 15. This company's business tactics seem to suck more and more.
Thanks God there are good Options with Arturia, Soundpaint and Omnisphere out there. NI i am done with you.

Very bad customer relations by Native Instruments. Stuff the loyal customer who upgrades at the first attempt, but hey if you were on the fence or late upgrading they have a bonus for you.
Do we who already have 14, get this as a free upgrade. Arturia would do that. Just saying. I bought Pigments 3 and got 4 and 5 as free upgrades......from Arturia
Live 12 is unfortunately on brand with recent Ableton innovations, push 3 included IMO: some good things but too few, disappointing and doesn't justify the price tag. But I'm still a fanboy and believe it's the best DAW for me. It's just been kinda underwhelming lately.
@NI One more displeased costumer that owns K14 collectos edition that can't believe this deal is not inclueded for us. Fix this!

Sanjay - I know you have been busy with other much more important things, outside of this, but NI is not offering these special bonuses to current NI Komplete 14 owners - um. If this remains the case, they are going to lose a lot of customers, in any future endeavors. I own Komplete 14 and and am an annual Izotope suite subscriber. I have also been on the fence on the new Mk3 - if this is the case, this definitely pushes me off the fence entirely. Since I do not see it in my Native Access - I submitted a support ticket. I would recommend others, that own Komplete 14, do the same.
Love Kurzweil. I hope they finally do what Korg have done and release Vast as a VST.

No and thats not right! CZcamsrs should address this issue. They have the power to change this.
Hopefully they partner and add Dolby Atmos like Logic Pro and Pro-Tools do, also add ARA2. also being able to freeze and flatter all my tracks in a click of a button or at least bounce all my MIDI channels to audio (I like mixing in audio only).
Stem separation would be a nice feature in Push 3!
Ableton is missing Stem separation, Ai mastering, more customization for GUI themes. More collection options as you mentioned. However, you can now add Plugin collections under the Library tab. The update cost is too pricey compared to all other Daw’s except Protools.
yeah i was really disappointed with the updates from 10 to 11, all i wanted out of that update was track recording, looking at the updates from 11 to 12 is even more sad. I've completely switched to studio one as my main daw now

Yes, you can use multiple screens with Ableton Live and have the Session view (mixer) on one screen and arrangement on the other.

I have to agree with the others here, I had a look on my account and nothing, I cannot even get this somehow without rebuying the whole of 14. its no wonder Dirk stepped down with this thinking going on.
I ordered and received the new Taiga, and...I got a defective unit. *Seriously* defective (all but completely non-functional). I'm waiting on getting the returns process started already. I'm hoping it was just a bad roll of the dice, but we'll see. 😥

ctrl+space doesn't work on multiclip midi it was not working from 11 they hadn't still fixed it on 12
1.they should had implemented slots feature permanently on live 12 it would make it cleaner where we can open and close plugins directly on mixer.
2. 3rd party plugins while loading them should had loaded with minimized xy pad
3. shortcut to open and close a plugin so that we don't have to go to small wrench icon (ctrl+alt+P only works for single specific plugin)
4. shortcut to hide devices Panel i think on live 11 they had shortcut for it (ctrl+alt+L) which doesn't work on 12
5 Dry and wet knob for plugins
6. feature where you hold ctrl/command while dragging loops or samples to get it unwarped on the timeline

Hi Sanjay. I love your mazing videos ...and despite i am not an expert at all i find all them so clear and easy to understand. I would have a question...My MIDI keyboard is a M-AUDIO HAMMER 88, I use Ableton Live 11 Lite as my DAW and I have a couple of VST piano i use (not for recording just to enjoy their sound) Pianoverse and Pianoteq 8. In order to get a better sound, do you think that it would beneficial to add an audio interface like Focusrite that i saw in some of your videos (for example)? FYI my laptop (windows) is a entry/medium level one so i may think that its sound card is pretty basic. Thanks a lot for your time. Cheers & congrats.
12 checked alot of boxes but-- the obvious one- which i Never even thought was possible with the "session vs arrangement view" set up- was , ,full audio editing capabilities in session view-, got the demo of bitwig & was like ? .. .? wait wha? .. it's possible? - add to that- the ability to have both midi and audio inhabit the same clip?- bonkers that we can't do that in 12 --

Why do you constantly have different high end speakers in your studio?
I test a lot of stuff for videos - that's mostly the reason. I've really only had two high-end speakers here - Barefoots and now these Neumanns. The others are budget speakers. By the way, I do LOVE these Neumanns.

No (unless they change their minds in the coming days, but... not only is this NI, this is NI under the ownership of an umbrella company so I'd be surprised if this changed)
how about making all the banger plugins by NI high dpi compatible? this is a big job but it's so needed, so many things are unusable with todays screens

I honestly believe that music software purchases can become a serious addiction that will drain all your financial resources if you don't get a handle on the situation. Sounds funny but even as a non pro I have splashed out many thousands of dollars on music software that I'll probably never use in the fullest sense. I get drawn in by what is being played on each of the synths and plugins and it's buy buy buy but I'm having to be ever so mindful on this "addiction" (?) fuelled by a very heavy sell hype on the tube. I've bought most all major DAWS perpetual but have also bought many bundles like Komplete 13 ultimate and all Arturia software and much much more. A non smoker or drinker I've spent more money on software than my Audi 3.2 Quattro cost but with my car I get the BUZZ when I'm driving it but I'll NEVER EVER use all this software in the proper sense even though I do create with it all but it's unnecessary for me and IS a huge problem. I understand it sounds laughable with the opening for eternal jokes but I sure wish I had all that money now bar a few softwares and my hardware like S61 Mk2 Komplete keyboard etc. And it'll never stop so maybe good FREE software is the answer along with Synth Rehab ! Great Video as per Usual

Super disappointed in Live 12. There are much "smaller" things that are actually bigger than what they've done, and it is in the form of things they ignore. Here's a few:
1. No support for CLAP
2. The way it handles VST3 is shite
3. user made VST folders are ignored
4. No MIDI2
5. It's a pig for resources. A *little* better than 11, but that's not saying much.
6. It won't read VSTs with any 32bit code and VST2 is something it's weak with.
7. It's VERY slow to open (faster than 11, but see 5)
That's just the tip of the iceberg. Frankly, I'm moving more and more of my production over to Reaper.
Reaper
1. Supports CLAP
2. You can put VST3s where you need them
3. It respects your folders
4. It's WAY mess of a resource pig
5. It'll read any VSTs you've got
6. It opens in seconds
So, I will probably skip 12 and see what 13 or 14 has to offer.

I’ve been a loyal NI customer for so damn long and they pulled this shit. Literally spent thousands on their product. Contacted a support team but they refused to do anything about it! We need to boycott this company. They give zero shit about us loyal customers so why should we?
I hate HI, I purchased Komplete after watching the demo video on NI's own channel, turns out it was a bait and switch, I ended up with Komplete Kontrol 3 which is an awful pile of crap compared to the earlier 2.9 version.

NI should offer a discount to existing owners for the extras.
They should just give out the extras to everyone who bought K14, appropriate to their version of course. This idea that it's okay to do this to entice new users is stupid. The new users either want the deal or they don't, and it's just bad business to refuse the same value to the customers who already supported the brand.

Just use Astra or Serum or Nexus. Komplete should just stick to live instruments like guitars. (Not to burst anyones bubble). Save your diskspace lol

It's also cool to mentione that in Live 12, Ableton has finally added accessibility features for blind and visually impaired producers 🧑🦯 to whom I also belong. This makes version 12 the first version of Live that is usable by blind people relying on screen reading software. I can't say anything more than congratulations to Ableton for considering users with disabilities because currently, there are only a few DAWs that are usable by users of assistive technologies such as screen reading software.
