Here are a couple more cooler hacks. Refrigerate your drinks before putting them in the cooler. Use block ice instead of ice cubes it melts away slower. If you do use ice cubes do not break the bag open. Doing this allows for more airflow thus melting the ice faster. If you want a cold soda, make sure they have already been chilled first or that you put them in the cooler with the ice hours before whatever event you’re going to do because most of the surface area of each can isn’t going to be touching ice, so they will take much longer to get cold. A great idea for keeping your cooler organized and separate areas for your sodas and if you wanted to put like some hotdogs or something else in the other portions of the cooler to keep it cold.
@@spotcafe1222 yes, that’s why you would need to either chill the cans before hand or make sure you’re giving enough time beforehand for them to cool, hours probably. The cans will still cool, it will just take longer.
@@america1403 It will cool things down quicker because fluids typically transfer heat much quicker than solids. The ice is colder than the water, but the water transfers its heat to the ice very rapidly and simultaneously transfers the heat out of the soda much quicker than the ice would.
@@america1403Ice water is not much colder than ice. Water just eliminates the air space between ice and increases the area of cold water and ice in contact with the beverage container. This draws the heat out of the beverages into the ice water melting your ice faster without making it colder. You don't add water to the mix. Ice is already water. You add salt. Salt makes the ice melt faster into water by lowering its freezing temperature. That physically makes the actual temperature go down and actually makes the mix colder.
