    Per essere un entry level... molto molto bello. Lo uso da diverso tempo. Sarebbe bello che anche le connessioni ST e monitor fossero XLR. Sarebbe bello porter collegare al PC come accade per altre marche (capita che il wifi in alcuni ambienti abbia poco copertura)

    This looks really cool but I'm concerned about only WiFi.. if you had PC/Mac software that could allow a laptop hardwired to the router that would offer some backup.. further to that it would be great if there was a control surface option that connects via cat5, kinda like a Qu-16 layout but just controller.. also feedback control as an option on outputs would be great.. hard to manage feedback for bands running their own sound while playing on stage. just some ideas.. :)

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi Nung,
      Unfortunately, it's not possible to connect a Qu to a Qu as this would require one of the mixers to clock from the other. You would also require two dSnake ports to make use of the AR stage boxes. You can, however, connect a Qu with a SQ and add an SLink option card for your stage boxes.

      Hi Tomurow, The Qu-SB can be controlled via MIDI over TCP/IP or MIDI over USB, the protocol for which is available on our website. However - the Qu-SB has a dual footswitch input that can be set to operate different functions, including 'Scene Next' and 'Scene Previous' or to recall a specific scene (amongst other options). Hope this helps! Thanks, Keith.

I have a complex, one-man set-up that requires footswitch operated scene recall with some kind of visual display (so I know where I am). Of course, I can use my Ipad with the Qu-Sb but wifi dropouts make me a bit nervous. Either way I will be going with A&H thanks to sound quality, design, fx etc... All of the above!

    Hi A&H, is the QU-SB still worth buying in 2021 ?

  • @ThedeevinesUkfunctionband

    I noticed in the video the Qu-SB is operated via an iPad, but more importantly to us, with an iphone/android for personal on-the-fly mixing (Qu-you). This is exactly what we are looking for!
    Can you confirm this now means each member (6 of us) would not need to purchase additional kit, (like the ME personal monitoring system) and we can just use our ios/android smartphones to link directly to the system to adjust our own mix?
    How many users can do this simultaneously?

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  Před 8 lety

      Hi there, all Qu mixers can be controlled by Qu-Pad and Qu-You apps. Up to 8 devices can be used simultaneously! With Qu-You you have wireless control of sends to 1 mix output (mix 1-10), plus 4-band PEQ and compressor for that output, from either iOS/Android device (Qu-You 1.9 for Android is not yet available). ME personal mixing systems offer the capability of sending more channels including mixes over distances of up to 100m (300'), and much more: www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/me-1/ Hope this helps! HG.

      Thanks for that, I think the QU-You app is all we need to be honest!
      Whats the differences between the Qu-You 1.9 version and the existing (1.8) version? We have 4 band members which have iOS (i-Phones) and 2 have Android, it would be preferable if we were all on the same version software.
      Lastly, can you confirm how much this unit will be in the UK and when will it be available from?
      Thanks

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  Před 8 lety

      Features and functions are the same for Qu-You v1.9 as they are for v1.8 but an upgrade was required to make it compatible with changes in the firmware v1.9 message protocol. Development and testing for Android devices requires more resources and takes much longer, so please bear with us! Qu-SB should be shipping in the UK around July. For retail pricing please contact your local Allen & Heath dealer. Hope this helps! Thanks. HG.

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  Před 5 měsíci

      Hello Carlos,
      As mentioned, the Qu-SB its a mixer on its own, therefore, its preamps can only be controlled by it.
      You can link a Qu console to an SQ console to share audio signals between them, this is usually done as a digital split setup, which is likely what you may have seen, but it is not possible to control the Qu-SB from an SQ or any other console.
      Thank you,
      Rafael

  • @ThedeevinesUkfunctionband

    As this mixer has a built in recorder, would it be possible to lay down a drum track on individual inputs (4 mics) for sound check purposes, then play the recording back through the mixer with rest of the band playing to it? One of the problems our drummer has is getting somebody to play his drums properly so he can hear what the drums sound like FOH and we are hoping this will help out. Obviously nobody else in the band can play the drums so he never gets to hear what his drums sound like with the rest of the band or what the band sounds like as a whole. If this unit can do this then this would be very useful indeed as this way he could use the drum track when sound checking but be free to stand FOH and make any adjustments to the kit's sound via the ipad.
    Does that make sense?

    • @redtapemusic
      @redtapemusic Před 7 lety

      Hello, Yes this is possible, it is suggested as the "remote soundcheck" option for most of Allen & Heath's digital mixers with a record facility. I use the QU16 and 24. The limitation is the amount of acoustic sound reaching the audience from a live drum kit. Your recorded playback will only give you that element of the sound the PA is reproducing, and not the proportion that is reaching the audience direct from the kit, which will be significant amount in a small venue, not quite so much in a big one! The principle is great for quieter instruments or those will little or no on stage instrumentation. less so for drums, but still better than nothing ! S

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  Před 8 lety +2

      +Shadowwand Qu-Pac and Qu-SB are certainly very close cousins. As you say, unlike Qu-Pac, Qu-SB has no surface controls or touchscreen - all control and setup is done from the fully featured Qu-Pad app. This means that Qu-SB is even more compact, portable and affordable. The I/O is slightly different - both mixers have 16 local mono inputs, but Qu-SB has 1 stereo input compared to 3 stereo inputs on Qu-Pac. Qu-SB also has an assignable footswitch connection, which has made some of the bands we’ve shown it to very happy!

      Hi Umberto, The reliability of the WiFi connection is down to the router you use and the environment it's used in, so I understand your concern, but when set up correctly, there is nothing to worry about. If you did want a wired solution, we have had reports of people successfully using the camera connection kit with USB to RJ45 in order to control the Qu-SB from Qu-Pad with a wired connection.
