I wish that this console would allow you to take an input off the LR so you can send inputs to aux/bus then send that bus to the LR 😢😢😢😢😢
Can you add custom labels for the FX Channels? It looks like they’re stuck as FX1, FX2, etc :(
Awesome product, very simple to use. I use it in my home recording studio.
Is there a way to set up matrices, e.g. for aux fed subs?
I just bought a cq-18t. I have an ef note e-drum which has a micro usb with 8 audio out and I connect it to the ca-18t through the usb A. Is doesn’t seem to recognize the input coming from my edrum. Is there something I am doing wrong? Does it have to be connected to usb b of the cqt-18?
I also tried connecting my ef note-drum to the usb b port from the mixer as well and it does not appear the cq-18 recognizes my ef note drum set
Nice!
Wow! This is really nice. Q - at what point was an autotune added as an fx?
why the hell is every video a different volume
Nice, thanks Keith! 27:50 Song 2, woohoo 😂
Is it possible for DCA to send to other mixes and not only Main LR
Is there coming a big update for the SQ? Or just some small fixes including the channel names as you mentioned 13:39
Sounds good. 👍🏼
Cheers
Can you use midi to trigger an action?
Hello Lorenzo, You cannot use MIDI to trigger actions, I'm afraid. You can use MIDI to control some parameters, as listed in the dLive MIDI Protocol, please review the following: www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2024/06/dLive-MIDI-Over-TCP-Protocol-V2.0.pdf Thank you, Rafael Read less
do i need di box for bass and guitar input? just wondering if i need to buy di box or not. just wondering if i can just plug my guitar or bass in directly and still get good sound quality without noise or distortion.
Hi, Thanks for the message, CQ20-B has built-in HiZ inputs on channels 15 & 16. These do not require an additional DI. However, the 12T and 18T models do not have this feature and will require DI for High-impedance signals. Thanks, Luke
Reminds me of the "Capture" software that came with Presonus Studiolive desks. Might be getting this..
Does this work for qu 16?
Hi, Yes, this works with QU-16. If you are having issues using the QU-drive, please drop us a message to support@allen-heath.com Thanks, Luke
@@AllenandHeathUK Thanks
FINALLY!!! So good to see that you have finally set up for 1080p live stream. Those 720p streams looked terrible.
Nice! Next level.
Wow, this is good stuff! Theater folks will be very happy.
Now THIS is what I was begging for on the Avantis (I'm sure I thoroughly annoyed you guys with my posts). Fingers crossed that this will be in the next Avantis release. It is the one feature from the Avid Venue line I missed switching to your product. This will cut on the fly show programing to a few minutes instead of 10x that! A big thanks to the team for making it happen.
one question. how can i record the master tract back in the DAW???? thanks so much
Hello, You can find details for both consoles in the following articles: support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4403019846033-Qu-How-do-I-route-audio-to-and-from-my-Qu-mixer-and-a-DAW support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402941921553-SQ-Virtual-Soundcheck-using-the-USB-B-connection Thank you, Rafael
i will try it later today. i have a QU 24 and when done mixing i want to record the finished track back into the Qu? i will try it and get back. thank you Sir
Yes. It works. Thank you sir
Would it be possible to integrate a fade time for each action and transition between actions. For example a fader level followed by a series of routing changes with a 5 fade time on the fader level and a 5 second wait between actions? Seems like it would open up a whole new world to this workflow.
If memory serves there is a way to do this already, I believe it's implemented in the Scene changes
@@pepedlux yes you can fade between scenes. It would however be a nice addition to the actions feature for more simple utility tasks.
How do you connect your iPad to the dLive and is there video coming with the dLive V2
Hello, You can connect a router to an available 'Network' port on dLive, having both the router and dLive system (MixRack/Surface) on the same subnet and range of IP's, then connect your iPad to the router's WiFi and your dLive console should appear on the discovered units. If you need further assistance, please contact Support@allen-heath.com Thanks, Rafael
@@AllenandHeathUK Thank you, does DCHP need to be on
I would like to use Tie Lines on my SQ6 for 'sending' an analog signal to an digital stagebox: - connect the source to local input 24 (e.g.) - DON't patch it to any processing channel - Tie Line it to Output 12 on the Stagebox (AR2412) I don't have any control over the preamp gain, do i?
Hello Peter, Yes, you could do that as you've described, and that is correct, you would not have control over the preamp. Cheers, Rafael
@@AllenandHeathUK Thank you Rafael, i was able to try it yesterday and observed, that a) I only have access to the preamp while the input is patched to a channel (as you desribed) b) BUT: The preamp HOLDs its gain after you re-patch the channel 'away from it' (and it's also stored in the scene) So i can temporarily patch a channel to the input, adjust the gain, patch the channel back and store the scene. 🤩🤩 That works perfectly fine for my scenario since i use this tie line for a fixed source that doesn't change it's gain structure. Thank you.

Does data other than audio get sent via Dante? And if so, how would it work with a device like DAD Core 256?
Since Cq18t got all the effects we basically need what else we can put on d Fx channel?
You can already do all this on the CQ
So, we can record sessions without Dante on Dlive, right?
Hello, LiveTrax is a DAW, which by designed integrates some very handy features with our products; However, in order to transmit audio you still need a protocol to send audio over IP, like with any other DAW, this can be Dante, Waves or MADI. Thanks, Rafael
The graphics seem to be very "laggy". That puts me straight off..
Hello! If you are having any issues with LiveTrax, please make sure to contact Harrison for support: support.harrisonaudio.com/hc/en-gb For any information regarding its integration with A&H products, please contact A&H support at: Support@allen-heath.com Thank you! Rafael
Tried it today with an avantis, three different computers. It crashed six times before I gave up and reverted to another DAW

@@G_The_Sound Definitely report that to Harrison support. But be sure you have rebooted your computer at least once since installation and test again just to be sure.
Very odd that it isn't compatible with the SQ right off the bat. Like, that's illogical to me. Qu but no SQ? Weird. Will hold off buying until they add that functionality (which should already be there) and it's verified working by some testers. Maybe there's a reason but it doesn't make sense to me.
Hello, LiveTrax is compatible with SQ for audio transmition, like any other DAW. MIDI protocols for QU and SQ are different. SQ will be supported, but it will require a Firmware update on the SQ's side, which will be released soon. If you have questions you are always welcome to contact support directly. Support@allen-heath.com Thanks, Rafael
@@AllenandHeathUK OK I follow. Did not know there were differences. Had to ask. Was very confusing without that information as to why. Thanks

Can we hope for a big update for the SQ as well?
Can we hope for a big update for the SQ as well?
@@yoloyolo1832 I guess they have to update firmware for the SQ for it to fully integrate the MIDI stuff with this software. Maybe it will include some other functionality too.
@@mark12.31 I hope so, a big update for the SQ users would be awesome
There is a Reaper, why think about it ) Thanks marketing
Because this is focused on live and FOH work, rather than trying to be full DAW. No MIDI, no plugins, no extra useless functionality to trip over when you're in a demanding live context. But then I would say, wouldn't I ....
love how you guys are still bashful that your larger consoles don't have a cost-effective audio interface and you don't want to talk about it lol.
Dante option card? 1900/2700 USD seems pretty good for 64/128 channels of bi-directional audio.
do i need to purchase a license for this live trax? or i can download it from a&h website?
For purchase and download, please go directly to the Harrison website. store.harrisonaudio.com/all-products/livetrax Thanks, Luke
Does this work with older models such as the GLD80?
This software will work with pretty much any mixer. It’s just that it may not offer Transport control, naming, and scene markers. Thanks, Luke
Good day what would be the physical I/O connection for the APP? I assume cat5/6 with Allen and heath consoles? Thanks
on the minimum system requirements page they say they use supported OS audio devices (ie CoreAudio for Mac). So Dante should work.
You’d have to have a Dante card? Or can you connect directly?
@@markbassie961 Your mixer would need a Dante card and you would need Dante Virtual Soundcard software installed on your computer. The connection between the two is via an ethernet network (with a switch or direct)
@@markbassie961 I would also like to know if there is a way to not buy a $2000 card just to do multitracking. I know A&H could do this through a DX port and have something like Dante Virtual Soundcard as a virtual device send. Could be called DX-Soundcard or something. Might just be wishful thinking. I wouldn't mind paying $50-150 if they wanted to paywall it.
Hello! At the moment there is no integration over DX protocol for it. For dLive and Avantis, you would need an optional card to transmit audio over IP with a computer. For QU, SQ and CQ you can connect directly over USB. Thank you, Rafael
WOAH!! Gotta check this out!
Can anyone tell me: Is there a way to take an input channel and NOT send it to the L/R - I have a crowd mic that I want to send to a Post Fader (Broadcast) output. I need to have the fader up to send the signal to the output bus, but of course that will honk my speakers if it is going to the L/R
Hi Kevin, Thanks for the message, To not send the signal/input to LR you need to set the Aux bus to run pre-fade. It should be this by default, but if you need to check/change it’s under Config>Output Highlight output and set the Input sends level. To route the input solely to the Aux. Leave the fader down on the LR mix. Then on the fader view, press the ‘Sends to’ dropdown and select the Aux output. The fader strip will highlight blue, this is to indicate the faders are assigned to the aux bus mix. You then turn the input fader up to route to the output. I hope this helps! Best regards, Luke
@@AllenandHeathUK I get that. But in that configuration, if one of my techs pushes the fader on that crowd mic up, it will still honk the speakers. Is there no feature on this mixer to just disengage the L/R on an input channel? I thought the CQ-20B had this feature?
How to set default sett peq?
Can i récord multitrack with my macbook pro 2012 osx 10.8.5 in to protools 10?
Hello, USB B connection on CQ consoles is supported from OS 12 Monterrey and onwards. Following this specification, yes you will be able to record multitrack on any DAW, here's an article for your reference: support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/19338440353425-CQ-Multitrack-streaming-using-CQ Thanks, Rafael

Ordered my CQ12t a month after it the market couldn’t be any happier it got alien technology compare to the Bose T4S tonematch which is a dinosaurs.
Thanks for all the tutorials. Can you backup scenes / user presets to and external USB drive?
Yes, but as a show file. The show file contains all current scene that are on the mixer’s memory. This can be up to 100 scenes. The user libraries can also be saved to USB. This is actioned under Home>Data. Thanks, Luke
Thanks for the video! I have 2 questions: 1: Is there a way to see what scene is currently in use? 2: Am I correct in assuming, that every change a band member makes on their respective CQ4you app needs to be saved in the main mixing app in that specific scene we are currently in? And am I also correct in assuming, that every time my phone/tablet/laptop loses wifi connection to the mixer and has to reconnect, every change that was made in the current scene, either via the main mixing app OR the individual CQ4you apps, is reset and needs to be redone? Thank you!
Any changes made on the peripheral apps will update the Mixer and Mixpad app in real-time. If you then get to a point where the setting need to be saved, say, post sound check then saving the scene will always save the mixer’s current state. Again, as the changes are happening in real time, if the connection is lost there should be no need to action the app configuration again. All apps will recall from the mixer’s current state, which is never lost. Even when the mixer is powered down the current state is always held. And finally, I’m afraid that the current scene is not displayed. Thanks, Luke
