  • We were hoping to complete 1000 miles in under 24 hours on motorbikes...
It’s not a particularly pleasurable endeavor, there’s no time to explore the places you’re riding through, our butts will get sore, and if we’re really trying to play devil’s advocate, we could argue that it’s a complete waste of fuel. But, as you will discover, it was a rewarding and memorable experience unlike any other rides we have undertaken and doing it for our chosen charity of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity!
This is going to be tough….
This is going to be hard….
This is going to be amazing!
If you like this video and wish to make a contribution to our fundraiser then please pop over to this link and donate what ever you can..... every penny helps.
    Thank you!

I've done it several times over the years. Once when the Elephant rally was at the SalzburgRing I had to pitch the tent in two feet of snow when I arrived. Wonderful times. That's what bikers do. I'm 72 now and finally stopped camping. I can't bend down that far.

@@MidlandsMotorbikers Looked like a proper ride out. In 1985 I once did 997 miles in my job as a dispatch rider. I used a CB750 without the benefit of a fairing or any other luxuries. The final two hours were the worst, the tiredness was mounting and my riding was becoming erratic. Thank God I got home at 4am in one piece and I crashed into bed. Everyone asked me why I didn't go round the block to clock up the last three miles to make it to 1000 but at the time I decided that if anyone wants to beat that they are welcome to have a go. Distance almost becomes a drug, I was used to long days in the saddle and over a thousand miles a week but to cover that milage in 20 hours is something else.

Let me share my thoughts. Despite what you have all achieved, this video is very underrated. Your chain cleaning video is much overrated. But always remember: that lead me here and I'm hoping will others too! Congratulations to all of you for the enormous performance!

Has anyone ever tried it starting off in the evening? I've always thought this to be better, as the conventional way of 3am-4am starts you're getting towards the end of the ride in the early hours of the morning, just when you're beginning to get properly tired. It's dark, and your body is at a low ebb naturally at that time.

Where are you based, I live near Melton Mowbray, in mid June I am taking part in a charity ride for Blood Cancer, Lands end to John o'groats in 1 day, 850 miles if we don't get too lost, that's not the whole trip! Day 1 here to Lands End 350 miles give or take. Day 2 the main ride, Day 3 ride home.
1700 miles give or take in 3 days.
My biggest fear is staying awake, any tips greatly appreciated
