How much is 2000 pounds? I mean, the rest of the world would like to know.
lmgtfy.com/?q=2000+pounds+to+kg
a pound is roughly 0,5 Kg so 1 ton.
YES! It is hard! How am I supposed to enjoy my tea if I am supposed to Google stuff?
907 kg
Well they literary said in the video that it was 1 ton=1000 kg, but it's not actually exactly that.
The ball is dangerous and may attack at any time.
We must deal with it!
lmfao I came here just for that
and this lol!!
I'm glad you answered the most important scientific question.
Pipe down puppy.. At the end of the video ,Norman said that we will learn more about those machines in the future. So they have it all planned out and there will be a lesson to be learned at the end of it.
HILARIOUS 😂
damm, i thought this video was from the hydraulic press channel.
me too!:)
ikr
I was going to comment the same :D
Poor emulation of a Finnish accent.
Everyone seems to be jumping on the press bandwagon. Little did I know I could have been making videos about mundane things in presses ages ago.
I was taking online classes from 9 - 5 so I was having to sit for long periods at a time. czcams.com/users/postUgkxEhgucmXpcAGYh8fatGFEnOK2V97VIwhG After the first day in a regular table chair, I thought about an exercise ball and ordered one that night. It came the next day! My hips, legs, back and butt couldn't have been happier! I'm almost 5'11" and I ordered the largest size and it was perfect for me. I also have RLS (restless legs) and this helped so much.Pumping it up was a little challenging and definitely gives you a good arm workout, (I'm a 62 yo woman) but it's very doable. Getting the tape centered with the hole to inflate it and then getting the pin back in was also a little tricky. But I love my new "chair" and I love the torquiose color. Hopefully it will also get used for exercise. 😁
Finally, an answer to the question nobody asked.
And yet you came here to see the answer.
***** Then those people may want to get glasses or a bigger monitor to see "Tested" was the channel. It's pretty clear to me. But that's just me, man. Have a good day.
'is this Topgear?
Nope, this is Pewdiepie.
Leon Fook Go eat your Temmie Flakes
I wonder if any one else has just a tiny slight urge to punch Norm in the face?
Maybe. I'll need to try it out first.
No. Why do you have the urge? Or did you just read this comment on several videos and thought it was funny so you just parroted it off.
Snootches Bootches Nah, I was just laying on the couch this morning with my mind wondering off to the paperwork I didn't do yesterday when I saw this video. And for some reason the way Norm talked just gave me the feeling like I might wanna punch him in the face. I'm a rather civilized person. Prefer to get my aggression out with video games or a constructive use of the energy by cleaning stuff. I also express myself by drawing or molding clay than destroying whatever you would call crappy art that people won't consider abstract. You know good wholesome things that won't ever hurt anyone, but makes ya feel good afterwards.
But today I just felt like I would ask if anyone else felt like giving him a good old wallop? Maybe just on the side of the face, above the chin so it won't make him dizzy.
He can probably take a punch pretty well considering how much abuse he took in the old water balloon video
I was more annoyed when it was both Norm and (the other guy). Together, they're a force of cringe. But just norm, I'm only slightly annoyed.
"Hello ant velcom bak to de hytraalic press channil."
Yes lol yes
2000 pounds is the average weight of average american, right?
2000 is a bit much, probably about 1500 average.
And what about adults?
lmfao
2736.8 U.S. dollars
2461.59381 €
or
989822000 zimbabwean dollars
muh1h1 wtf?? Lmao
I wonder what is causing the video glitches on the joga ball. In the beginning you could see bright green noise patches
Codec does not like the green ball
ikr XD
Or the boxes behind them at the start. I thought my tv had broken lol had an old one that started doing that before it died.. Your comment has brought me much relief :)
Nor the bins in the background.
Or skin tones
I'm sure they had a green screen behind them
That was really anti-climactic
Super excited about these videos! I love learning hot products are tested in controlled manners like this.
Impressive how strong the pin holds up. Would've thought it would shoot out. It didn't appear to be on top or bottom but was on the side.
lol the ball knew what was coming. Notice the compression artifacts.
I'm confused as to why this video exists on Tested.
the hydraulic press channel would really blow your mind then!
Oh I've seen those kinds of videos and I understand their value. What I don't get is why Tested would make one.
Because they knew they'd get views by crushing something.
Probably. Just not the kind of video I expected from them.
bet west pack sponsored the ep
but what if you focus the weight in a smaller area
The scariest moment was at :50 seconds in when the guy is under the machine.
Here we go another channel crushing shit with a press ....
This green exercise ball looked innocient at first, but nevertheless it was extremely dangerous and could have attacked at any time. That's why they dealt with it.
WHAT ? 2700LBS is 1224KG !! And I'm afraid of it exploding while sitting and bouncing on it, I hope that applies to any random brand ball tho, even if it's less but no way any person is that heavy not even half or even a quarter , even when bouncing.
Loved this electronics review.
"Could I sit on this, bounce on it and blow it?" ~ Norm 2016
should have put a concentrated load on it like a 1 foot by 1 foot block to simulate jumping on it.
thanks guys
Great Vid! keep it up!
"It works..." amazing!
Wait... This is not the hydraulic press channel?
Thanks for this, I was honestly nervous blowing up my stability ball. Not joking lol.
not at all meant to capitalize from hydraulic press channels popularity.
Woah. Went with the Punisher reference!
i always think its interesting how objects fail at somewhat random points, but maybe cause of the microstructure, pipes always form pinholes at random points but i always assumed they'd burst at seams or joints
little tip... avoid green things when infront of a green screen with the intention of chroma keying the background, otherwise what happened at the start happens
3 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.
Clicked on this thinking it was a video from the hydraulic press channel... xD
Wow. I figured it was going to fail at the plug. I was not expecting that!
I found it appropriate that they put the ball under compression strain, since that's exactly what happened to the video *of* the ball.
I thought that the plug would just pop out at that pressure.
I have seen someone fall trough a yoga ball once, the most likely explanation was that the ball got damaged and the material slowly ripped until it popped.
I tell you what I'm really happy about I've been away from CZcams for a few weeks so I don't know how long ago this happened but I'm really happy to see Jamie's name out of tested because he never contributed anything but the banner always had his stupid Blockhead in it. I'm really happy that it just says Adam Savage's now
I never would of guest that ball would can hold 2700lbs.
when the rock beat didnt play in the intro i realized it wasn't Hydraulic Press Channel
Trying to cash in on the hydraulic press craze? Lame!
Kishore is a pretty cool guy! I like him more and more
Nice frank castle reference, one batch two batch penny and dime
So, how does one go about working there?
Well that was an anti-climax
Hey Norm have this guy on again he was good
I feel like this should have been done at least three times. Once with the ribbing on the ball parallel to the ground, once at a 45 degree angle, and once with it perpendicular. How the design of the yoga ball affects its structural integrity is far more interesting than just showing how tough they are.
Welcome back to the hydraulic press, oh wait.
I want to know what brand of yoga ball that is. I doubt that they are all made the same.
It would be cool if Adam had his own channel then I wouldn't need to see all this completely unrelated stuff in my subscriptions box
I wish you had included the sound so I could know how Simone's last name is pronounced.
Wait, they actually tested something?!
he didn't just crush a exorcize ball, he crush a big green bouncy inflatible green ball.
There is one problem with that. This is only static weight, so it doesn't mean that you need to weigh 1.2 tonnes to burst a ball by jumping on it. To do so, you need much less, but how much exactly depends, as far as I know, on the speed and surface area.
Imagine a bed of nails - one nail will run straight through your body, but you can lay on multiple of them. It you were to be dropped on the same bed you laid on before, they could still manage to hurt you.
How much can a mylar balloon hold? I rolled over one in a parking structure and it went buuUmp and I waited for a second or two before it popped.
Who color corrected this video?
It suffered the same fate as the T-800
While that's interesting, I'm more interested in how much force (F=ma) is needed to burst it. I don't weight a ton, but if I jumped on one of those balls, would it burst? I'm not going to, and this is kinda cool, but not as useful as you'd think.
It should be pretty easy to calculate force by weight. 1 kg of weight equals 10N of force.
RadioLogicalHazard
I'm no physicist, but isn't static force different from (?)dynamic (don't know if that's the right term). Like, if you put a bunch of weights on something, that's different than dropping a weight, isn't it? Honestly, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm always willing to learn.
well I'm not a physicist either but force IS mass and acceleration so dropping a small weight on something quickly is kinda the same force as putting a heavier weight on it slowly. I think.
I'm still no expert, so correct my erroneous thinking: I can put a lot of weight on a brick and it won't break. I can drop a brick from chest height and it will break. The brick is fine when it comes to static force/weight, but very weak against dynamic force. I'm open to correction, but that's my take. Just as I can drop a brick and break it with very little force compared to the weight it can take, is the same true for this ball?
Huai Li well when it's getting stopped by the brick after going fast that's more acceleration so you need less weight for the same acceleration. However maybe there could be a difference in duration of the force so I really don't know. I think it's about the same for the ball, though
whats with the blur on the ball
green screen??
it depends on the thickness of rubber
woah that green is crazy
When I saw him crouch under it to place the thingy, I thought "Terminator!", then later they placed a skull there.... ye.
Fascinating. Sort of.
Nice video
Lord Gaben uses one of these for an office chair, so I had complete confidence this holds over 1000lb!
spooky skel may ettak at any time!!!
I got the derpy derp
That's a new low for Tested.
Nice Flat Stanley there :)
By the way, my kids want to know how large the "pea" would have to be in order to be detectable through 20 feather mattresses and 20 quilts, as per the fairy tale. You might have the stuff at that place to find out...
Hi, I don't really like this test. It seems strange, as the force used to burst the ball will surely be higher when using a large flat surface like that compared to a person sitting or bouncing on it. Therefore the initial hypothesis you were talking about is not represented in the test. Just my five cents, no offence.
It doesn't work without Anni laughing her ass off in the background ;)
this sorta took me back to mythbusters a bit.
wow how epic
Is that an Edgertronic Camera?
@ 2:15
can you guys use that machine to break in a brand new mattress?
After watching tested for quite some time, this video kinda caught me off guard, I enjoy looking to tested for original material an interesting look inside the maker space, movie industry, prop design, coverage of events, etc. This kinda seems almost too simple and lacking the general creativity tested inspires. If we putting aside the fact that there are other "let's press it" channels there still remains an opportunity to add a bit of a "myth busters flare" to it better explaining the science and reactions combined with perhaps a more climactic or more intriguing test material. If pressing is to become a regular staple in the channel then press that which shalt not be pressed and above all have fun with it.
That being said keep up the good work and I look forward to your future vids and hopefully some more in depth coverage of the battle bots competiton. :)
If we put aside* ^
So anticlimactic lol.
Never go full frank castle man
I thought I clicked a Hydraulic Press Channel video from my subscriptions.
It would be more interesting to see the platform standing on the ball and then there should stand more and more chubby girls on platform:) before another would step on she should step on scale to weight her hehe I know it would not be accurate so much but much interesting to watch :)
Great...
Why didn't you just bring a bunch of different brands for testing?
Yay! Hoodrawleck Press!
Can you do this with a bunch of pool toys
trying to skim off some of the hype of the hydraulic press channel
And for today's extra content, this Jamie Heineman! It looks very dangerous and can attack at any time, we must deal with it!
next the question "how many licks to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?"
This yoga ball is very dangerous, we must deal wit it.
Actally styrofoam is 100% recyclable so when proper disposed it's as environmenaly friendly as any other recyclable material.
Yeah, it gets a bad reputation because of biodegradability, but also used to made using CFC's as a foaming gas and some people still think of that.
As a very large man--VERY--This is the test i needed. lol
i am sitting on one as i watch
Frank castle reference was lit
At least you didn't completely rip HPC by crushing something they've ready done before. It's still obvious this was just for views.
>video
>just for views
I think those two concepts go hand in hand dont you think?
Trying to jump on the hydraulicpresschannel viewer train....
All of a sudden every CZcams channel has a hydraulic press.. Leave it to the pros, because if not trained properly, the items may attack at anytime
never have the comments been so fucking funny here. god damn haha
You guys need to hire Cody's Lab to do sciencey stuff, squashing a ball is a bit, well, boring, filling one with hydrogen and oxygen and popping it would be fun, or putting excessive dry ice chunks inside it to see if it pops would also be fun, but, squashing it under a press, nah, needs more excitement...
I want one!
Yesgeta balloon instead of that 36 inch one rubber
It turned into a Pac-man at the end. C
