(In Haiti, Tap-taps are heavily painted public buses. In this composition the bus is used as a metaphor - urging people to not be complacent and let opportunities pass them by, but to be active, to get moving and 'jump on the bus'!)
English Poetic Translation:
Hurry up, walk quickly!
Lift your feet up so you won't miss it,
Wake up, take advantage,
The Tap-Tap is warming up!
If your legs are short, get a head start;
The best time is now,
Don't say you didn't know,
Those who are wise are those who lead.
Don't let time pass you by,
It's time for you to get on board,
The Tap-Tap is leaving now,
It's time for us to go!
Hurry up, walk quickly!
Lift your feet up and don't miss it,
The Tap-Tap is taking off!
Don't fool around, get on!
Don't wait, don't stare,
Don't joke around, get on!
The Tap-Tap might just leave you!
Get up! Stand proud!
Those of you who know what you want,
Those of you with your minds made up,
Don't miss a great opportunity
To do something for the nation!
Listen, don't miss a great opportunity to do something,
Get up, stand proud, don't sit around and wait!
Get up! Let's go!
Don't waste your time,
Go learn something useful
To benefit society,
And enhance humanity.
Keep your feet on the ground,
Keep your eyes open,
Don't cast your pearls before swine,
Drugs will hold you back.
Get up! Stand proud!
Walk quickly, let's go!
It's time for you to get on board,
The Tap-Tap is on its way,
It's speeding up, it will not stop;
Jump on it if you want to make it!
Let's go!

Thank you for coming to our school The Master's College today and practicing with our Choral! I was incredibly helpful for them! It was a blessing to sit in the back and simply listen to them sing and watch you conduct.
we're singing this right now after performing wipip!!! at state and honestly tap tap is the most fun i've ever had in choir. love it so much!
That is heartwarming to know. Thank you for sharing! :)
Singing Soprano and oh my god I love this song but boy is it a difficult piece to learn. Possibly the hardest I've ever done but definitely one of the most interesting I've ever had the pleasure to do :)
As I expected from Mr. Guillaume. Always left me speechless.
My high school almost did this for ISSMA contest, since we did Twa Tanbou last year and loved it, but we chose a different song and I'm very upset. This is so vibrant and happy!
hats off to this high school group for pulling this off!
Proud to say I was a part of this remarkable song. Thank you Sydney for giving us this amazing opportunity!
I saw this performed by the USD Choral Scholars at an invitational. The entire place was in shock and aww. No jaw was left open.
I want to sing this song so bad, I love it more and more each time I listen to it!
I convinced my director last year to let us sing Kalinda, which is one of my all time favorites of yours! You are brilliant, keep up the amazing work!
This slaps
I am going to convince my choir teacher to do this song :) I'm in love with it!
Thank you for the response! All the best to you! Love your music, by the way! Thanks!
Holy damn. WOW! :D This sounds incredible! Very nice Sydney!
Singing this for my high school choir... wish us luck
Haha Good luck! What's the name of your choir?
see the note at the beginning of the piece: "Can also be sung a half step lower (A Major)"
May I inquire as to how you did this video? What program did you use to scroll the music? Thank you
Amazing piece but looking at that sheet music makes me nervous! Hahaha. Hopefully we sing some of your pieces this year!
I know this was a long time ago but it is actually a very fun piece to sing. The hardest part about the music is learning how to pronounce the words, once you have that down the piece is super easy. We just performed this song for our Winter Vocal Concert and it was super fun and everyone loved it.
