The cupcake is actually a quite time specific culinary in Finland. It's made to honor Finnish poet writer, Johan Ludvig Runeberg, that passed away 6th of May, 1887. For example, Runeberg have composed Finland's national anthem. Kids's books, man. They are the thing to go for if you are learning from scratch. It may sound weird but it works. Oh, theres also the "manly version" of the cupcake. You take a tin of pea soup, try to get the whole clump out in one piece, add some mustard on top in a circle and there you have it. Seriously NOT worth trying, but still a good gag to impress your friends with or something... (and you can always make soup of it afterwards so you dont waste food)

Some versions of those are horrible. Luckily you bought one of the better ones. Test out laskiaispulla also, preferable the one with jam on it.

I have never liked Runebergin torttu. My children like it.I tried it again this year, but reaction was once again, eww no.
