    There's nothing like Le Creuset. The cheaper enameled pots are substandard, and the food sticks. A lot of my Le Creuset is 40+ years old, and still is as good as new. You're going to love cooking with these, and they are heirloom pieces, in that you can hand them down to younger generations of cooks in your family.

      @Broadway Joe ... Le Creuset does not to be seasoned, as it is enamel; a special high-fired enamel that resists chipping. Le Creuset is guaranteed for life. Yes, the initial cost for Le Creuset is high, but, as in my case, I have some that are nearly fifty years old, and they're still going strong.
      One has to season raw cast iron, and I love my cast iron, but for some things, it is better to use an enameled pan, and Le Creuset fits that task flawlessly.

    I so wish Lakesha or Jack's lovely daughters would make a CZcams appearance and talk about their father and what happened to his health and what they could pass on to others so that they avoid what happened to Jack losing him at such a young age I know next week I'll be 57 I would love to see other people saved by the passing of this wonderful man God bless you jack God bless your family God bless your partner Lakeisha and God bless your lovely dog which spelled backwards is God Made In His Image, I know today Jack is smiling in heaven, Once again I ask for grace and peace for all his family and friends in Jesus holy name, Amen

    Le crueset is the best cast iron in the world. Its all i use. Gotta be careful with your heat tho, they hold a lot of heat, easy to burn stuff.

    Look up Larry Lawton on here. He did time and has a channel talking about his crimes and time spent in several different prisons. He talks about and even has a video where he shows how he made "Prison Pasta." He used a blade from a razor to slice his garlic. Pretty interesting stuff.

    Cool! Looks very tasty! That looks a little like my leftover chili when I add pasta to it. I actually made a chicken casserole tonight in my Le Creuset braiser. They’re really good for softening veggies and making sauces and such. You just can’t beat cast iron, and enameled cast iron is so much more user friendly. The rest of their cookware is pretty good too, but their enameled cast iron is definitely top notch. Thanks for letting us into your home. 😊

    Hard to not like a fresh cucumber salad full of fresh garden vegetables. Pasta is good with almost everything...a utilitarian base for sure.

      Iv been cooking since I was a little little guy and so has my only child. We gotta keep it alive and learn them youngins that it isn’t just for Necessity. It’s art and damn fun.

    Hey Jack, how many tomatoes did you end up adding in there and how long did you simmer? You're cooking style just blends so well with my interests, capability, and style of cooking. . Love the way you blend the pasta with a minimal of sauce over heat so it absorb the flavor, then add more for the final plating. I practice this technique in all pasta dishes I make thanks to your shared wisdom. As I've mentioned time and time again, your recipes always leave a wide range of different tweaks and possibilities if the viewers wants to go there. That's what makes your channel and thought in cooking so special and unique. Looking great these days. Looking forward to seeing you at Chaplin's in the near future.

      Hi Guitarman, I guess as many as I had available on the tomatoes, really no set amount. I simmered it down withe the other vegetables to concentrate the flavor some. Let me know when you come this way, pretty much retired now, not sure the business will last, we're taking on water. The winter will finish off a lot of us but glad I'm at the age my friend.

    The Blackening seasoning arrived today Jack, TY. Grilling the last rib eyes tomorrow and I'm going to try the spice out on those steaks. It sure passed the wet finger taste test with flying colors. I recommend anyone interested get to Daddy Jack's webpage and buy a bottle.
