Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 5 Episode 15: " Intuition "
Summary: Monarch is really unlucky when it comes to the power of Intuition. Either Ladybug's Lucky Charm keeps adapting to the situation, or Cat Noir's unpredictability spoils everything at the last second! But when the Tsurugi technologies decide to test their new spaceplane, Monarch senses a unique occasion to get a real second chance. He is ready to do anything, even if it means that this could be his last chance to seize the Miraculous.

I love how they incorporated previous episodes into this one with Monarch’s use of Second Chance! It just makes this season feel much more connected and well thought out.

To be fair, every time Monarch rewinds because he made a mistake in the loop he has to go through the entire process from scratch (I'm assuming that's like 15 minutes in-universe or something like that). Since we also know that Gabriel isn't quite stable at this point in the story, it seems in character for him to make small mistakes out of losing his temper.
Nathalie was fated to die with that illness from the moment she used the Peacock Miraculous to save Hawk Moth at Heroes' Day. It only takes one use of a damage Miraculous to become sick and never get better. However, if she had only used it that time, she would have years ahead of her to enjoy. But she kept using it and spreding the illness even more to the point she only has weeks to live now. It's sad to think that Gabriel's obsession is causing Adrien to become alone without the two people that are close to him. He will lose them just like he lost his mother, that's a reality he is not even aware of. And Gabriel just wasted precious time to be with his son for a failed dumb attempt to get the Miraculous.
At the last episode gabriel defeats ladybug, gets the wish and sacrifices himself to save nathalie and adrien's mother

Some people didn't like it much, but I actually enjoyed the idea, Gabriel and Nathalie are getting worse 😢😢

This episode illustrates why he keeps failing: he keeps developing tunnel vision that makes him so focused on winning and putting one over on the Bug and Cat Team that he not only makes stupid mistakes, but repeats and doubles down on them.

Just don't click on every link you see, make sure your antivirus software is current. FTR, most of these dubs are in Brazilian Portuguese with subtitles.
Intuition here not only refers to the concept of the Snake Miraculous but also Andre the ice cream man's INTUITION that Ladybug and Cat Noir were made for each other, Kagami's mom's INTUITION that Gabriel is hiding something and Ada's INTUITION for detecting things about Max's mom and sensing that Monarch was deceiving her.
This episode's "you may only have weeks" at the beginning and then everything after made me start binging the show in not-english just to see what happens next all the sooner

In case your wondering why Cat Noir didnt take the rings, its because he knew that using the snake miraculous would subject a holder to an unbearable amount of failure if they used it for selfish reasons, he should know due to his experience back in "Desperada", and as we know, Adrien had not been very happy with Monarch targeting his loved ones, specifically Nathalie. So when he realized that he had the chance to make Monarch suffer, he of course took that opportunity to make him use the second chance as much as possible.
Flashbacks to "Dexter's Laboratory"... "What does _this_ button doooo?"
Ok but like- How is wanting to defeat Monarch a selfish reason? He's caused so much pain and chaos to everyone

He plays with human lives all the time. I'm sure he has killed a bunch of people already, Ladybug just keeps bringing them back to life. The difference now is we can see the person up close and he is only targeting one civilian this time, not counting everyone below with the meteor.

I really liked this episode on how creative it was on repeating events and how it comes different every time.

A limitation of the snake miraculous is that you have to set the save point before you can go back in time, meaning it has to be before what ever mistake your trying to fix occurs. The time he got the ring and the earrings he was using several different powers at once. I have to assume he neglected to use the snake to reduce the strain on his body.

I love this episode so much. Gabriel has easily become one of my favourite villains of all time. He's got moments where he plays out like a Saturday morning cartoon villain, but he's a legitimate threat and has just as many moments where he's big brain. He's got the right balance of intimidating and comedic, making him feel more human, rather than just "the big bad". His motive for doing this is understandable and sympathetic, but still not justified, especially when you see how much he's willing to use others and treat them like pawns, even the people he cares about - and yet, despite using Adrien and Nathalie the way he does, he DOES still care about them! Sometimes it really be like that - humans can be messy, complex creatures who don't always act rationally and do things that contradict how they feel. And while it's satisfying to see him lose, it's equally tragic to see him falling deeper into insanity, and seeing his desperation now that he's on his last legs.
And honestly, at this point I genuinly have no idea if he's heading towards a redemption arc or if he'll never be redeemed (NO SPOILERS FROM THOSE WHO'VE SEEN LATER EPISODES PLS), but I feel the writers could go either direction and it'd work just as well.

This episode is the definition of “Aw shit, here we go again”
There are seven didn't colors of power ups, so there are four unknowns. The ones we have seen all seem to be geared toward surviving in different environments, underwater, the cold, space. I'm assuming the others would also be set up to deal with other environments, such as heat or maybe underground.
The episodes are getting crazier and crazier! I can't wait for you to see episode 23 because that episode left me in shock!
Poor Adrien he's probably going to be lonely without Natalie and his dad really soon. Also I wonder what Kagami's mom wants to do with the miraculous what kind of wish she wants to use ? Also I really don't want Natalie to die.

He could just took Chat Noir’s miraculous even when the ship de-akumatized itself.
This episode is just the Infinity War scene of Dr. Strange witnessing every future the Avengers fail to beat Thanos, and in Gabriel's case, it's hurting him far more as he's living each failure.
I like how Monarch is akumatizing more machines than just Markov.

Yeah, I was very confused by the beginning of this episode as well. Lol Your reaction and mine were the exact same. :P
I absolutely love the fact that we had all been wondering why he wasn't using the power, only to be shown just how much he's been using it and why he's pretty much unable to keep using it.
And yeah, this season is staying dark and heavy it seems, which I personally love.

I actually watched this 2 days ago right after I saw the flash movie. Both were awesome because it involved time travel
The moral of that episode the hardest miraculous to use is the snake miraculous
Because a second chance is not always to succeeded and you have to be wise to undo your mistakes
That is why the quami sas is so wise
I really liked this episode, from this point and on the episodes will only become better and more intense for sure❤❤
Looking back on Elation, it foreshadows this episode. Before he does his monologue about chat noir and Marinette, we get that update on his cataclysm wound. It basically foreshadows him using second chance and the damage it does to his body as seen.
I love that we get to see it only NOW and not in between the season. That way it’s more dramatic

Not gonna lie, this seems like a SUPER dangerous mission for someone as new to actual Space Travel as Claudine to do.
This episodes are so cool
The concept of this episode is kinda horrifying when you think about it. Gabriel trapping a human being in the vacuum of space with an experimental AI with enough emotional intelligence to have suicidal ideation. All this with the world watching. Damn.
It makes sense that Nathalie got sicker because she used that miraculous way more than Emilie
Chat noir could have snatched all of the rings from his hand,but he instead chose second chance
My favorite part is when Gabriel said "your pilot". What could've done better is if Adrian just TOOK the Miraculous!
At that point, I started wondering if he could just use Venom again to paralyze her. He doesn't have the obligatory "one use per transformation" rule the others have, due to being an adult

It is maddening when Cat Noir doesn't grab a few of the rings off his fingers, he could have just swiped them off and gotten 1/2 of the Miraculous. Mind you, 4 of them would be powerless with the Qwami still in containment, but they'd still get the full Snake, Horse, & Turtle Miraculous back and the un-powered Miraculous of the Fox, Monkey, Pig, & Rooster. That would have been huge.
The miraculous of the fox had the Kwami in it. He used it to create an illusion of his akuma face.
To me this episode just proves how much of father and son Adrien and Gabreil are :'D
Just like Adrian before him, Gabirel is very, bery bad at using the snake miraculous. Reminder, that kid spent literal months inside a 5 minute loop before giving up and letting someone else try. Maybe stubborness while sucking just an Agreste thing

If gabriel dies of the cataclysm, not only is he revealed to be monarch but Adrien will find out he hurt his dad and killed him in the process. He will be alone with that since gabriel and natalie will be gone.
He confides in Marinette yes but he can never tell her he killed his dad coz hes chat noir. Felix still has the peacock miraculous so it would still be better for them to keep their identities a secret.

I think in the double episodes when Monarch did get the ladybug and cat Miraculous he wasn't using the snake one because he was already using too many others. He can use more at the same time since he modified them, but he still can't use all of them.

Monarch was so careless and dumb when using Second Chance... at least in this one last attempt. He could have solved that one flaw by removing Claudie with Voyage or paralysing her with Venom. And Cat Noir is not that better. I mean, he had the chance to get some of the rings (Horse, Fox, Snake, Ox, Turtle, Monkey, Pig and Rooster) where some of them had some kwamis. He could have taken them and use their power to escape.
Enough with the Cat Noir slander!
Btw the rings are designed to only be used by Gabriel and the acumatized villains so there is no point at taking the rings back

Uhm no. He wasn't using second chance back then. So he couldn't rewind time after getting injured, and he can't rewind time to go back to that day without the rabbit miraculous.

I don't like being mad at them when they don't just grab the miraculouses because that would be too easy and the show needs to go on. BUT THIS TIME IT WAS SO STUPID!? Why the heck would you rewind time with the second chance Cat Noir??? You don't gain anything from that, you won't remember, but Monarch will and next time he won't let you do that. JUST WHY?

Zamber I think I might know why they can't take the miraculous it's just a theory but they need the kwamis to make the miraculous to work right and if they are too far away from the miraculous they can't use them, they need both the miraculous and the kwamis to make the magic work and to transform, if they just have the miraculous it will be useless without the kwamises and if they did it would stop the kwamis from being used. I hope I discovered some kind of theory that someone else could look into more. I hope I helped you. 😊
