A single line made me love Kagami so much. I think she was very harsh with Adrien for not letting him be goofy and expecting him to be perfect like so many other people, but you know that she still loves him.

This episode really helped give insight to what's going on in Adrien and Marinette's love life, to be clear, Adrien actually developed a crush on Marinette since "Origins", its why so many people in their social circle wanted to help bring them together, however, because of Adrien's sheltered life and just like Luka says, Adrien is constantly in a dilemma where he is surrounded by people who love him, as a result, he always tries to love everyone back, so when Marinette tried to express her affection , Adrien just couldn't see those feelings, they were lost in that forest of love of his and only ever thought that what he felt and did for Marinette and what he saw Marinette did towards him, was simply because they were just friend. It wasn't until "Puppeteer" when Marinette attempted to kiss what she thought was his statue, did Adrien finally have his "my heart just skipped a beat" moment, and from there, everything began to be a little more clearer. As for Marinette, unfortunately, due to loosing the miraculous, Marinette is now afraid of loving Adrien and feels she is not worthy of loving him, but ever since the events of "Jubilation", Marinette also began to realize that she always had hidden feelings for Cat Noir, but only realize it when she finally saw a life with him was actually possible in the illusion, but for the longest time, she just couldn't see it.
If you're wondering WHY Adrien fell for her during the statue scene... Marinette was flailing around singing in theatrics, shouting out her love for him and having absolutely zero mouth filter confessing how she felt. And then played the whole thing as just playful banter, a joke.
Is it ANY surprise the boy who's also Cat Noir ends up finding it pretty romantic?

Oh yeah, this episode, we Luka stans are devastated in so many ways its even hard to explain
He pulling her to his chest and the "are you jealous?" look towards Adrien killed me in so many ways.
I find it funny how even when the show all but spells out how important the statue-scene was for Mari's and Adrien's relationship, Zamber is still like "Yeah, ok, can we still never talk about it again, ever?"
Ah yes, the running gag of the Ladybug copies getting the big sword that looks impressive but also always fails in contrast to the seemingly unremarkable lucky charms of the real thing that usually lead to the solution
The akuma plot was necessary because we acknowledged the loss of the miraculous and the kwamis but never the loss of the superheroes. Part of the reason Ladybug falls in love with Chat Noir is because they became closer after losing the team. Also the fight against superhero statues is when she realizes her feelings for him, so it's all connected.
Luka and Kagami were literally the parent 😂

Gah, that statue scene gives me SO MUCH second hand embarrassment!!! It's strange. Ever since watching this episode, I've had a newfound appreciation for it, since it lead to Adrien finally figuring his feelings out. And it's cute that it was such a raw, cringy moment that did it for him. But also..... I still can't watch that scene unless I'm peaking through my fingers lol
I love the scene at the end where they have different reactions while saying that they're in love. Adrien was happy, while Marinette is crying

I find it to be such a sweet detail that Adrien carefully follows all of Marinette's sporadic movements when she has the tape measure out; I feel like people usually look in her general direction, as opposed to tracking each motion
Also, I just noticed that Luka and Kagami have a really funny reaction after Adrien mentions that Marinette kissed him, before leaving lol....
The thing I like about the reverse love square is that if Marinette and Adrien found out each other’s identities before the love square switch, Adrien would only love Marinette because she is Ladybug and Marinette would only love Chatnoir because he is Adrien. So them switching it allows them to love both sides.
This is the drama I live for lol also if zamber ever made a miraculous character tierlist Luka and kagami would be s tier lol 🤣🤣🤣
I really love the idea that since it’s canon that Adriens felt a literal shift in his feelings for Marinette since the episode Puppeteer 2 (back in season 3) that every adrienette moment since then has been double sided, including the moon dance scene, the second umbrella scene, and everything in between.
I think the real beginning of the reverse was simply the aftermath of risk and strike back. For example, in Risk when Adrien took Marinettes hand because he realized she was the only one who really understood him, and for ladybug when she realized chat noir has always been the one who’s been there for her through even her biggest setbacks

Determination it’s literally, “Us against the World M’lady episode” like I freaking love it so much.
Adrien is finally falling in love with Marinette.

And Kagami I love how Adrien is calling out Adrien.
And Luka is amazing and sweet I hope he eventually finds someone amazing. Our boy Luka deserves the best.

1. The title "Determination" here along with referring to the concept of the Ox Miraculous also refers to Luka and Kagami's DETERMINATION to get Marinette and Adrien to realize their feelings for each other.
2. So the reverse love square finally happened. But this does not mean that Marinette and Adrien's feelings for their other counterparts disappeared, there are simply avoiding those feelings in fear of what those feelings caused them to do. For Marinette, it's losing all the Miraculous in "Strikeback" because she mistook Felix for Adrien and for Adrien, it's almost Cataclysming Darker Owl in "Jubilation" which made him realize that his feelings for Ladybug could be used against him.
3. As much as people say the reverse love square was rushed, it really wasn't as Marinette and Adrien have been developing feelings for their other counterparts since "Origins". Marinette being the only one who was there to pick him up whenever he was down made Adrien slowly develop feelings for her until those feelings came into reality in "The Puppeteer 2" but he didn't realize it until this episode. Similarly, in season 1, Ladybug just thought of Cat Noir as an egotistical clown but as she spent more time with him, she began seeing more of his sensitive side which allowed her develop feelings for him until those feelings came into reality in "Strikeback" and realized in this episode.
4. As strange as it may seem for the statue scene of all scenes to be the one where he falls in love with Marinette, it actually makes sense because if Adrien is going to fall for Marinette, he has to love the full package, flaws and all and the statue scene was the scene where Marinette was the most Marinette she has ever been. It perfectly summarizes her entire character: silly, overdramatic, impulsive but with a big heart with lots of love to give.
Stop teasing you? You poor, clueless lass. Hehe, but seriously, the more Luka appears, the more you love him. He knows both identities, so he knows the overwhelming mess this is. Also, despite his own love for her, he cares more about Marinette's happiness than being with her. That's true, genuine love right there 😍
It's so funny how Marinette's most awkward moment is the particular moment Adrien started falling for her. You're right. He's weird 😆
Not gonna lie, Ladybug’s feelings for Cat Noir became existed since season 2 glaciator, but nothing important because it was just the beginning. A lot of people say it got a heavy push in season 4 finale and I sorta agree. And on top of that Jubilation made a possibility about it as well so now she’s realised finally but it’s too late 💔

The way Kagami and Luka helped their respective exes with their current crushes is a reflection of their own relationship. With Adrien, Kagami had to pratically force him to do something about his crush on Marinette, telling him up front to ask her out and staying to make sure he wouldn't mess things up. However, Luka was just there to support Marinette and make sure she was comfortable, being willing to let them alone, but staying because Marinette asked him to.
i feel like they needed a reverse love square... that way they can learn to love all sides of eachother without bias

There are more layers to the wax statue scene that you haven't discovered yet. Your initial reaction to the scene was not as bad as you make it now. You don't have to hate it just because other people hate it. That scene and that episode in general are very important to Marinette and Adrien's characters.
